Lauren Silverman's Unpopular Parenting Rule That Has Everyone Talking New

Lauren Silverman's Unpopular Parenting Rule That Has Everyone Talking

Simon Cowell’s longtime partner, Lauren Silverman, won’t allow devices in the bedroom when their 12-year-old son, Eric, has friends staying over — a rule she admits has made her “unpopular.”“Every family has different boundaries around technology and this is one that has made a real difference in ours,” Silverman, 48, wrote via social media on Friday. “When friends come for play dates or sleepovers we ask that smartphones stay away. Not because we are completely anti tech but because we have seen what happens when children are given the space to simply be children.” Silverman wrote that she believes the move results in “more laughter, more conversation, better sleep and more genuine connection” for her son and his pals.Simon Cowell’s partner, Lauren Silverman, addressed an unpopular rule for their son, Eric, in a social media post, as seen above. lauren cowell/ instagramSilverman shared that she takes away cell phones when pals are staying over with her son to increase play and connection. Why Millions Are Dropping Obamacare Plans This Year New

Why Millions Are Dropping Obamacare Plans This Year

People faced double or even triple digit increases in their premium payments.ByALI SWENSON Associated PressJune 27, 2026, 1:51 PMNEW YORK -- About 3 million fewer people in the United States had Affordable Care Act health insurance plans in February compared with the same time last year, according to new federal data.In the report released Friday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services suggested the 13% drop in enrollment from 22.1 million people in 2025 to 19.2 million this year could be attributed to a federal crackdown on fraudulent or “phantom” enrollment. But health analysts said it was more likely related to the Jan. 1 expiration of federal subsidies, which caused a surge in plan costs that resulted in many people being unable to pay their premiums.“We know that real people lost their health insurance coverage,” said Cynthia Cox, a vice president and director of the ACA program at the healthcare research nonprofit KFF, citing survey findings on people who had left their plans. “This coverage loss happened at the same time millions of people faced double or even triple digit increases in their premium payments.”The new data, compiled in April but showing coverage in February, represents the government's first official look at how people's inability to pay their first bills this year affected total enrollment. That is because the figures capture the marketplace after a nonpayment grace period expired.Popular ReadsA federal estimate in January showed that about 800,000 fewer people had signed up for ACA plans compared with the same time last year, marking the first time in the past four years that enrollment had been down from the previous year at that point in the shopping window.Cox said KFF expects the total number of people in the government healthcare program to continue to decline throughout the year, potentially to a low of about 17.5 million. That would be a significant drop for the government’s flagship subsidized health insurance program for working-age people who do not qualify for Medicaid. In recent years, ACA plans have become a popular choice for gig workers, farmers, ranchers, hairstylists and others without health coverage through an employer. The ACA subsidies that expired this year were at the center of a bitter fight in Congress last fall, with Democrats and some Republicans calling for their renewal. Sharp increases in health costs across ACA and other health insurance programs come as voters in the approaching November elections say affordability is among their top concerns.

Why 'Every Year After' Season 2 Cast Changes Are Creating a Buzz New

Why 'Every Year After' Season 2 Cast Changes Are Creating a Buzz

Every Year After has been renewed for a second season — with different leads — but is everyone from the cast coming back? Based on Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, Every Year After follows Percy (Sadie Soverall), who grew up vacationing in Barry’s Bay and spending all her time with the Florek brothers: Sam (Matt Cornett) and Charlie (Michael Bradway). In addition to introducing new characters, Every Year After surprised Us with some massive book shakeups. “I think there's less of things changing and more of things just being added. But I think you're getting the actual bones of the book and the love story. I think all of the themes and the tone are the same,” Aurora Perrineau, who plays Percy’s friend Chantal in the series, exclusively told Us Weekly. The book also wrapped up everyone's story more while the show focused on introducing Charlie as the next lead. “I really would love to see a second season of the show. They're not quite there yet and I think because Sam is still kind of getting his head around what's happened, that makes a lot of sense,” Fortune told Us of the ending. “I love how the show ends with a very clear set up for bringing One Golden Summer into the second season, which I’m most excited about.” Scroll down to see who is — and isn't — expected to return in season 2: Sadie Soverall While Soverall is expected to reprise her role as Percy, she would no longer be front and center on the show. Matt Cornett The same goes for Cornett, who would be back as Sam but not as the main character. Michael Bradway Bradway has been positioned as the season 2 lead after Charlie's onscreen heart attack. His story was originally explored more in Fortune's follow-up novel, One Golden Summer. Abigail Cowen Cowen's role as Delilah was expanded — and with plans for the show to have five seasons — there is more than enough room for her in season 2. Aurora Perrineau Perrineau's Chantel is expected back on the show. Joseph Chiu As is Chiu a.k.a Jordie, who is now caught in his own love triangle.

Britney Spears' Sons Steal the Spotlight at Paris Fashion Week New

Britney Spears' Sons Steal the Spotlight at Paris Fashion Week

Britney Spears’ mom, Lynne Spears, is “one proud meemaw” following her grandsons Sean Preston and Jayden’s runway debut at Paris Fashion Week. “I am so proud of my grandsons, Preston and Jayden. They both walked in Paris Fashion Week for Vetements Official as Celebrity Guest[s],” Lynne, 71, beamed via Instagram on Saturday, June 27. Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19, took part in the fashion world’s elite runway event on Friday, June 26, when they walked for the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show. Sean Preston was the epitome of suave in a black dress shirt covered by a long jacket over crisp denim pants. Jayden went for a more breezy look in a white tank with light-wash jeans, paired with a brown leather belt and V-letter chain on his pants. It has been reported in recent months that the boys have grown closer with their mother, Britney, 44, including Us Weekly confirming in April that they’d taken on her last name for professional purposes. (The boys have not legally changed their surname from Federline to Spears at this time. Their father is Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline.) Following Britney’s arrest for suspicion of DUI in March, her spokesperson told Us that the musician would be “spending time” with Preston and Jayden while her loved ones came up with “an overdue, needed plan to set her up for success for well-being.” Britney ultimately entered rehab in April, reportedly after consultation with both of her sons. “Britney went to rehab after several conversations with both of her sons,” a source confirmed to Us at the time. “They expressed concern about her recent behavior and urged her to seek professional help, which has been long overdue, to get her back on track. All they’ve ever wanted for their mom is health and happiness, even during the years they were estranged. They hope she’ll take it seriously.” The “Toxic” singer was reportedly hesitant to seek treatment until family members were “finally able to talk some sense into her and convince her it needed to happen,” per a source. “Britney was a bundle of nerves heading to rehab because it’s very hard for her to trust outsiders and follow a routine that isn’t her own, but she’ll do just about anything for her kids,” the insider added. “Their relationship is in the best place it’s been in years, and she doesn’t want to jeopardize that by continuing on a destructive path.” Britney resolved her DUI case after completing her rehab stay. On May 4, she pleaded guilty to a lesser charge known as “wet reckless driving” in exchange for a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol being dismissed. “Through her plea today, Britney has accepted responsibility for her conduct,” her lawyer, Michael Goldstein, told Us in a statement in May. “She has taken significant steps to implement positive change which is clearly reflected in the Ventura County District Attorney’s decision to reduce the charge in this case and dismiss the DUI. Britney appreciates this discretion and is also grateful for the outpouring of support she has received.” She was sentenced to 12 months of probation and one day in jail, with time served for the period she spent in custody. She is required to complete a DUI class and pay state-mandated fines and fees of $571, as well as meet with a psychologist once a week and a psychiatrist twice a month.

Tom Bateman's Casting in 'The Love Hypothesis' Sparks Star Wars Curiosity New

Tom Bateman's Casting in 'The Love Hypothesis' Sparks Star Wars Curiosity

Tom Bateman joining the film adaptation of The Love Hypothesis is a casting of epic proportions if you know the Star Wars — and Reylo — lore, but how are the two connected? Ali Hazelwood's The Love Hypothesis was an overnight success when the book was published in 2021. But to some Star Wars fans — at least if you rooted for Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) — it might have sounded familiar after getting its start as fanfiction. According to the synopsis, The Love Hypothesis follows Olive as she tries to convince her best friend into thinking her dating life is great. To help with the lie, she pretends to date her professor, Adam, and the twosome try to make everyone around them think they are in love. But soon, they start to forget that their feelings are supposed to be fake." The Love Hypothesis becoming a mainstream hit paved the way for it to be developed into a movie, which is where things get interesting. In October 2022, it was announced that a film adaptation of the novel was in development and three years later Lili Reinhart joined the cast. It wasn't until her onscreen love interest — Bateman — was announced that people pointed out the irony. Bateman isn't just known for his roles in Murder on the Orient Express, Death on the Nile and Based on a True Story. He has also been married to Ridley since 2023. Yes, the same actress who inspired the fanfiction that then was redeveloped as The Love Hypothesis. Keep scrolling for a breakdown of the connection — including what Ridley has said about The Love Hypothesis: What Inspired 'The Love Hypothesis'? Before Hazelwood’s The Love Hypothesis was in fact The Love Hypothesis. It was originally a fan fiction story about Rey and Kylo Ren  from the new Star Wars movies. Similar to Fifty Shades of Grey getting its star as Twilight fan fiction, The Love Hypothesis was a story posted to Archive of Our Own with the title Head Over Feet. "My agent started reading my fanfiction on AO3 and then she reached out with a DM. She was like, 'I saw that you wrote something about maybe pulling some of your fics and reworking them. And I wanted to tell you that I'm a literary agent and I would love to see you some of your manuscripts, if you're interested in it,'" the author told Collider in 2021. "And so that's how I took the fanfiction of mine that I thought was the most reworkable and I sent it to her and then I signed with her. And then after approximately 70 billion more revisions, both with her and an editor ... we got a lot of RNRs [revise and resubmits] that didn't pan out but made the book better, because we got really good feedback." How Does Reylo Fit Into the 'Star Wars' Equation? The Star Wars sequel trilogy introduced viewers to a new generation of characters — and relationships. The Force Awakens, which premiered in 2015, hinted at a potential romance between Rey and Finn (John Boyega) after they joined the Resistance in an effort to take down the First Order. In the next two films, Finn's story line was put on the back burner as Rey's unexplained connection with Kylo Ren took center stage. “I don’t think [their relationship is] all one thing,” Driver explained to Entertainment Weekly in 2019. “Part of the fun of playing it is the boundaries of it keep changing. At times it’s more intimate, sometimes less intimate. Sometimes it’s codependent. And then it’s, obviously, adversarial.” Meanwhile, Ridley questioned what kind of future the pair could have together. “I do know about Reylo. I don’t know how I feel about it because everyone’s talking about the toxic thing of a relationship when it’s essentially emotional [abuse]. It’s a tricky road,” the actress told fans at Star Wars Celebration that same year. She added: “I do feel like, deep down, Kylo thinks what he’s doing is right and he doesn’t think he’s wrong, but he has also killed so many people. So I can’t really get behind in that, in a personal way. Maybe there’s redemption. Who knows? Maybe we explore that in the film.” In The Last Jedi, Rey and Kylo Ren shared a kiss before the villain's ultimate demise. They don’tend up together, however, since Kylo Ren dies by the end of the movie. What Hints at Reylo Have Remained in 'The Love Hypothesis'? After being published online in 2018 as Head Over Feet, the main characters were renamed Olive and Adam (in honor of Adam Driver) once the story turned into a novel. The Star Wars references were also cut but the cover still features characters designed to resemble Driver and Ridley. Who Stars in 'The Love Hypothesis'? In July 2025, Reinhert announced her involvement in the film adaptation as an executive producer and star. Her onscreen love interest was announced days later and it was none other than Ridley's real-life husband. The movie will be released on Prime Video on September 23. Have Daisy or Adam Spoken About 'The Love Hypothesis'? Ridley was asked about the connection while speaking to Collider in 2023, to which she replied, "I mean, honestly, for anyone to just write a book is so impressive, let alone a New York Times bestseller, let alone something inspired by something I was part of. That's very thrilling." She continued: "So, thank you, if anyone’s reading this. Whoever wrote The Love Hypothesis and The Hurricane Wars. Wow. F***ing cool." Bateman, meanwhile, gushed about his wife's support for his work when asked by ExtraTV in June 2026.

Olivia Culpo's Bold Maternity Look Turns Heads on Date Night New

Olivia Culpo's Bold Maternity Look Turns Heads on Date Night

Olivia Culpo’s maternity style is second to none. “Best friends *with benefits*,” Culpo, 34, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Friday, June 26, sharing a mirror selfie of herself and husband Christian McCaffrey smiling for the camera before enjoying a dinner date. McCaffrey, 30, looked casually cool in a white T-shirt with dark joggers and sneakers, while Culpo opted for a sheer, lacy DISSH blouse with matching wide-leg trousers from the same brand. Culpo completed her ‘fit with a cream-colored Hermès Birkin bag and embroidered mesh ballet flats from Magda Butrym. Culpo announced last month that she is expecting her second baby with McCaffrey. The couple previously welcomed daughter Colette in July 2025 — a monumental life moment that forever changed the former Miss Universe’s entire approach to fashion. “When you’re a mom, you really do have to find ways to streamline your life,” Culpo exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2025, addressing how motherhood adapted her style. “You don’t have enough time to go through piles and piles of clothes, and you don’t want to — you want to spend time with your baby.” She continued, “I find myself reaching for the same things — having more uniforms, if you will. It’s been a really great way to just simplify getting dressed. As a new mom, I definitely like to take the guesswork out of what to wear.” Culpo has also had to adjust her style to her postpartum figure, which she told Us has changed “so much.” “It can be traumatizing for a lot of people, and I completely understand that, but just finding the beauty in that, and that’s what it is,” Culpo acknowledged at the time. “This is a time in your life. It’s not forever.” In addition to dressing herself and her daughter, Culpo has also taken charge of McCaffrey’s wardrobe. “I don’t even have to go into his wardrobe. I know every single piece that he has,” she joked of becoming her husband’s personal stylist. “I cleaned out his closet for him. I tell him what he needs to get. I tell him what to wear. He is the perfect client. He just says yes to everything.”

Aaron Lewis Shocked as His Album Becomes Packing Material for Taylor Swift Merch

swiftTaylor Swift’s latest merch drop left country artist Aaron Lewis stunned after pages from his upcoming album turned up shredded as packing material inside fans’ orders. “Oh look, there’s my new album, that hasn’t even been released yet, shredded as packaging paper in Taylor Swift merch,” the Staind frontman wrote on X on Thursday. “Ain’t that some s—.”Lewis was responding to a fan’s unboxing video, which showed the fan, confused, piecing together shredded paper that revealed the cover of Lewis’ unreleased record “Give Me Back My Country.”Country star Aaron Lewis was stunned after shredded pages from his unreleased album appeared in Taylor Swift merch. Getty ImagesFans who ordered Swift’s new “I Knew It, I Knew You” CD collection initially thought the shredded pages contained hidden Swift lyrics.Instead, Swifties on social media realized the paper featured lyrics, artwork and album pages from Lewis’ upcoming album, which isn’t due out until July 17 through Big Machine Label Group, Swift’s former label, with the merch handled by Universal Music Group.Lewis said he first learned about the mix-up from his team because he doesn’t use social media.“I don’t have any social media. I didn’t have it when I was younger. It’s never felt important to me,” he told USA Today.“I never even had a MySpace. So I don’t see anything of that type of stuff. And when this was brought to me, I was just like, ‘What is going on? X/Aaron LewisLewis, whose music has become more conservative since his early nu-metal years in Staind, said he has no explanation for how the album materials wound up as packing filler.“I don’t know how this happened,” he admitted. “I hate to think it’s malicious, but at the same time, I don’t know that it’s not.”“I haven’t even put the record out yet,” he continued. “It’s not like it’s old stuff that was just sitting around that they decided to make packing material out of. It’s my new record. I just don’t understand how something like that can happen.”“I don’t understand how a shredded-up copy of my new record’s art ended up in a Taylor Swift gift box,” Lewis said. Jackie Brown / SplashNews.comLewis previously met Swift during a Nashville event in 2016 when they were both affiliated with Big Machine and said he doesn’t blame the Grammy winner for the packaging mistake.“We live in two very, very different worlds. And she’s such a huge star that her world doesn’t intertwine with anyone’s worlds,” he said.“I certainly wouldn’t be trying to bring her into this or blame her for anything. It just so happens that it was my record cover in her gift box for her fans.”He also insisted he isn’t looking to capitalize on the attention surrounding the mishap.“I don’t want people to think that this was an opportunity to promote my new record,” Lewis said.“I don’t understand how a shredded-up copy of my new record’s art ended up in a Taylor Swift gift box for her fans.”

Lionel Messi's Historic World Cup Streak Has Fans Buzzing New

Lionel Messi's Historic World Cup Streak Has Fans Buzzing

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Lionel Messi didn't have much time to try to become the first to score in seven consecutive World Cup games.Argentina's superstar did it anyway as a second-half substitute. Messi made it seven straight while extending the all-time men's World Cup scoring record with his 19th goal in Argentina's 3-1 victory over Jordan in a group stage finale on Saturday night. In his first match since turning 39 three days earlier, Messi scored on a free kick in the 80th minute after being taken down just outside the penalty area. The low kick barely above the grass surface split two Jordan defenders into the left corner of the net.It was his 72nd career goal on a free kick, including his 12th for Argentina. Messi now has 123 international goals — second all-time to Cristiano Ronaldo’s 145 — in 202 appearances.Messi had been one of only three players to score in six consecutive World Cup games along with France striker Just Fontaine and Brazil great Jairzinho.“What you’re seeing, I’m seeing the same thing,” coach Lionel Scaloni said through a translator. "It’s a little bit of an uncomfortable situation every single time people ask because I no longer know what to say." Messi also scored on a free kick against Nigeria in the 2014 World Cup and is among six players since records are available dating to 1966 who scored two free kick goals in the World Cup. He joined Pelé, Rivellino, Téofilo Cubillas, Bernard Genghini and David Beckham.“I am very happy for him, for the moment he is having,” Giovani Lo Celso said in translated remarks after becoming the first Argentine other than Messi to score in this tournament, also on a free kick in the 19th minute. “The truth is that seeing him every day excites, excites and infects a lot. So obviously seeing him like that for us is very important.”Messi didn't start because Argentina had already clinched first place in Group J, and the game was further meaningless because Jordan was already eliminated from the knockout stage.Nevertheless, the decidedly pro-Argentina crowd of 70,649 at the home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys was eager to see him.Popular ReadsFans started chanting Messi's name as soon as the second half started, and cheered loudly when he came off the bench merely to go through warmups. The roar was louder when he stepped onto the field in the 60th minute, replacing Lautaro Martinez, who scored on a penalty kick in the first half. For all the accomplishments of the eight-time winner of the Ballon d’Or as the best player in Europe, Messi has never won the golden boot as the top scorer in each World Cup. This is his sixth.Messi now has six goals in this tournament, two clear of Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Júnior and Erling Haaland.Messi had been dealing with a minor hamstring injury with Inter Miami that slowed him in the lead-up to the World Cup.The knockout round for Argentina begins Friday in South Florida, and in this expanded 48-team tournament that would be the first of five matches in 17 days if La Albiceleste makes it to the final on July 19.“Today he could have played 90 minutes,” Scaloni said. “He wanted his teammates to have time on the pitch and to save himself also for what’s coming up now. He doesn’t think so much about the numbers that people are talking about.”___See more of AP’s World Cup coverage here

Alan Jackson's Farewell Concert Leaves Fans in Awe

The time has come for country music superstar Alan Jackson to hang up his signature Stetson hat.The genre traditionalist from Newnan, Georgia, whose career kicked off in the 1980s and exploded shortly thereafter in the oft-cited ‘90s country wave with heartfelt songs for the working man who’d rather be drinking, or fishing, or ideally both, has sold over 60 million records across his storied career. And on Saturday night at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, he brought his touring career to an end.The event titled “Last Call: One More for the Road — The Finale” was a triumphant swan song for the performer, a celebration of his life and career with some help from the artists he directly inspired.Alan Jackson performs during his farewell concert at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn., on June 27, 2026. Other guest performers included Luke Bryan, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Little Big Town, Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, Lee Ann Womack and a slew of super talented members of Jackson’s own family: Adam Wright, Big City Brian Wright and Carlisle Wright.Five years ago, the 67-year-old music giant Jackson shared that he has a degenerative nerve condition that affects his balance called Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, which he was first diagnosed with a decade prior.Carrie Underwood attends Alan Jackson Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale on June 27, 2026. USA TODAY Network via Reuters ConnectA night to rememberThe Country Music Hall of Famer ran through his best-known hits with real ferocity: “I Don’t Even Know Your Name” arrived quickly, as did “Livin’ on Love,” “Summertime Blues” and the moody “Midnight in Montgomery,” as the music videos for each played on a giant screen behind them.He made it a point to walk from side to side of the stage, greeting each section while championing his band and the power of “real country music.”“If anyone has lived the American dream,” he said later, while seated on a stool, “It’s me.”Anecdotes flowed from there. He talked about writing “I’d Love You All Over Again” for his wife on their 10th wedding anniversary and how the radio from “Chasin’ that Neon Rainbow” is currently in the Country Music Hall of Fame museum. And he mentioned that “Drive (For Daddy Gene” was written after his father died.During the concert, Jackson made it a point to walk from side to side of the stage, greeting each section while championing his band and the power of “real country music.” AP Photo/John AmisThe singer appeared stiff as he walked to his microphone, but once he picked up his guitar for the opener “Gone Country,” he was immediately back in action. Out emerged George Strait for their collaborations “Designated Drink” and “Murder on Music Row.”Then came an incredible run of hits: “Little Bitty,” “Country Boy,” “Good Time” and “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)” among them, the latter written and recorded following the Sept. 11 terror attacks.Blockbuster singles followed: “Don’t Rock the Jukebox,” “Remember When,” and “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere,” the latter recording famously featuring the late “Margaritaville” singer Jimmy Buffett.Fireworks were launched into the sky for “Chattahoochee.”Alan Jackson’s story continuesJust because this is the end of Jackson’s touring career doesn’t mean it is the end of his music career. On Thursday, two days before the final concert blowout, Jackson released a country cover of Orleans’ “Still the One,” to celebrate his 50-year relationship with wife and high school sweetheart Denise Jackson. She was a cheerleader practicing a dance routine to the soft rock classic; he was instantly smitten. For those who missed Jackson’s final bow, the show will be released later in the year as an NBC concert special. But for those who were in the stadium — in the middle of a huge storm — it was an unrepeatable and unmistakable night.
