Ben Waddell and Sabrina Belle's Surprising Exit from 'Summer House' New

Ben Waddell and Sabrina Belle's Surprising Exit from 'Summer House'

Ben Waddell and his girlfriend, Sabrina Belle, will not be returning to Summer House after one season on the show. A source confirms to Us that The Bachelor Australia alum Ben, 39, and Sabrina, 29, are departing the Bravo series as part of a larger cast overhaul. (Deadline was the first to report the news.) “Ben and Sabrina had the greatest time last summer. There’s so much love that exists between the friend group, and the entire Bravo family,” a spokesperson for the couple later told Us on Monday, June 29. “As for the future, time will tell. They’re looking forward to what’s ahead.” Us has reached out to representatives for Bravo for comment. Ben rose to fame on The Bachelor Australia in 2023, and later joined Summer House in 2025 alongside fellow newcomers Mia Calabrese, KJ Dillard, Dara Levitan, Levi Sebree and Bailey Taylor. Sabrina recurred in the latter half of season 10. News of Ben’s Summer House exit comes on the same day as Us confirmed that Amanda Batula was “not invited back to season 11,” per a source. The insider indicated that producers want season 11 to focus on “organic relationships with the rest of the cast” and with Amanda, 34, on the outs with the majority of the cast due to her relationship with West Wilson, both sides agreed that a change was needed. (Amanda appeared on Summer House in season 1 before officially joining the following year.) “Amanda seems to agree it’s not a good fit,” the source told Us. Us reported on June 15 that West, 31, would also not be returning to Summer House. (Per a separate insider, it was a “mutual decision between the network and West” that he leave the show because he was “already feeling like his time on the show was coming to an end.”) A third source confirmed to Us on Monday that Amanda now “wants to focus on her mental health” following a tense Summer House season 10 reunion, where she and West, 31, were peppered with tough questions about the timeline of their relationship. “Amanda doesn’t feel those are her genuine friendships anymore and wants to focus on her next chapter and what that looks like,” the source says. “[She] and West are at ease that they will not be on the show. They are both OK with moving on.” Amanda and West went public as a couple in March, just two months after she’d announced her separation from estranged husband Kyle Cooke. (West previously dated Amanda’s former bestie Ciara Miller.) As for Amanda’s future on spinoff show In the City, the first source hinted to Us that her status for season 2 is “up in the air.” (The first season is airing now and is chronicling the events surrounding Amanda’s split from Kyle.) OG Summer House stars Lindsay Hubbard, Carl Radke and Amanda’s estranged husband, Kyle, are all in contract negotiations to return for season 11, according to a third insider. Summer House airs on Bravo. Old episodes can be streamed on Peacock.

Melat Kiros Challenges Democratic Establishment in Tense Colorado Primary New

Melat Kiros Challenges Democratic Establishment in Tense Colorado Primary

After victories in New York City, democratic socialists are taking their fight against the Democratic establishment to Colorado. On Tuesday, Rep. Diana DeGette will face her toughest reelection fight yet, against 29-year-old attorney and democratic socialist Melat Kiros, who was born months after she won her seat in Congress, 30 years ago. Kiros, who was fired from her law firm in 2023 after writing an open letter criticizing her employers’ response to pro-Palestinian protests, told ABC News she hopes to build on the movement’s momentum from last Tuesday in New York and channel voters’ anger with the political system. Melat Kiros is seen in this undated photo.Melat Kiros for Congress/Meta“Ultimately, folks are really tired of the party failing to meaningfully represent the values and policies that are extremely popular with our base,” she said. “And we're looking for leaders that are unbought and unafraid to stand up to a lot of these corporations and special interests that have gotten us into this mess in the first place.” While Kiros has netted the endorsement of progressive stalwart Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) and some left-leaning groups, the race does not break down evenly along ideological fault lines. DeGette is a leading member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus who has led Democratic messaging on abortion rights and served as a House impeachment manager during President Trump’s second impeachment trial. Unlike some incumbent Democrats facing primaries, she has criticized Israel’s handling of the war in Gaza and voted against additional U.S. military aid to Israel. “Denver knows I don’t back down. That’s why I’m taking on Donald Trump to protect our reproductive freedom, abolish ICE, and pass Medicare for All. Together we’ll win and deliver on our progressive values,” DeGette said in a statement to ABC News. Rep. Diana DeGette gives opening remarks during a hearing with Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm on Capitol Hill in Washington, May 1, 2024.Susan Walsh/APIn a recent interview with ABC affiliate KMGH-TV, DeGette argued that her time in Congress is an asset to her constituents. But that long record has also made her a target for frustrated progressives, who sense momentum after democratic socialists Darializa Avila Chevalier and Claire Valdez defeated establishment-backed Democrats in two New York City primaries - including the chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus - last week, with the help of democratic socialist Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Democratic Congressional candidates, Claire Valdez, Brad Lander, and Darializa Avila gesture on stage with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani during a Get Out The Vote rally ahead of New York's primary election, June 18, 2026, in Brooklyn, New York.Ryan Murphy/AP Photo/Ryan Murphy“They see Melat as someone who has put up a fight - not just against Republican fascism, but also against the Democratic establishment that has failed voters,” Usamah Andrabi, communications director for Justice Democrats, told ABC News. The group has helped Kiros and her allies knock on tens of thousands of doors and make more than 200,000 calls to potential voters since last week. DeGette’s record “is very progressive, and she's not a moderate,” Doug Friednash, an attorney who was chief of staff to former Gov. John Hickenlooper, told ABC News. “A lot of young voters are demanding change … they look at rising health care costs, gas prices, and there’s a view that the establishment hasn’t done enough.”Popular ReadsOutside of Denver, the Democratic establishment faces tests in primaries for governor and Senate. Hickenlooper, now serving as Colorado’s junior senator, faces progressive state senator Julie Gonzales in the primary. And Sen. Michael Bennet is locked in a competitive race against Attorney General Phil Weiser to replace outgoing Democratic Gov. Jared Polis. Weiser, who served in the Obama administration and as Colorado’s attorney general since 2019, has positioned himself as the insurgent in the race against Bennet, linking the longtime senator to Washington. And in Colorado’s 8th district, a battleground seat currently held by a Republican, Democrat Manny Rutinel, a 31-year-old state representative, is vying for the Democratic nomination against former state lawmaker Shannon Bird.

Paraguay's Stunning Win Over Germany Leaves Fans in Shock

Manuel Neuer of Germany concedes a goal to Paraguay during the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round Of 32 match between Germany and Paraguay at Boston Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., on June 29, 2026. Robert Cianflone/Getty ImagesAfter 120 minutes of play and six rounds of penalty kicks, Paraguay sends Germany home and survives to the next round of the World Cup.The match outside Boston on June 29 was the first of the Round of 32 to go into extra time with a 1–1 tie. The score remained unchanged at the end of the two 15-minute halves, after the match officials called back what would have been Germany’s go-ahead goal, determining the goalkeeper was fouled. The South American underdogs held on to win 4–3 in penalty kicks. This marks Germany’s first loss in penalty kicks, coming into the match 4–0, and the first-ever win on penalties seen in the World Cup’s round of 32 teams.Paraguayan President Santiago Peña declared June 30 a national holiday to commemorate the victory.Paraguay’s goalkeeper, meanwhile, secured that win having only faced one previous penalty kick beforehand.Related StoriesParaguay struck first off a header from Julio Enciso in the 42nd minute, but Germany’s Kai Havertz found the equalizer with his own header under coverage at the 54th minute. After that goal, Germany appeared to retain the momentum, but Paraguay’s defense literally stood in the way of the net. Five of Germany’s eight shots in the second half were blocked, and Paraguay blocked eight shots overall.Germany got six of their 21 shots on goal, and Paraguay goalkeeper Orlando Gill stopped all attempts but one.The match was also physical and emotional. Paraguay earned 12 fouls, with six coming in the last third of the match, and two yellow cards. Germany was handed 18 fouls by the referees, two of which were yellow cards. Officials also handed yellow cards to both teams’ benches. The result of the two previous knockout matches—Canada vs. South Africa and Brazil vs. Japan—was decided on a goal late into the allotted stoppage time, but Canada and Brazil both took the win in regulation time.Germany’s bout with Paraguay was the first of the knockout round to go beyond that.World Cup extra time features two 15-minute halves, plus stoppage time, with a short break in between. Germany and Paraguay waited until the extra time to make some of their substitutions and make last-minute changes to who would have to take penalty kicks.World Cup penalty kicks begin with a best-of-five competition, and then, if a victor is still not declared, penalties continue in a “sudden death” format. That best-of-five phase ended in a three-three draw with goals from Germany’s Joshua Kimmich, Jamal Musiala, and Nadiem Amiri, as well as Paraguay’s Mauricio, Gustavo Gomez, and Matias Galarza. Gill and German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer both made two saves.Sudden death ended with a clear miss over the net from Germany’s Jonathan Tah, and a goal from Jose Canale.Paraguay moves on to the round of 16, where they will play either France or Sweden in Philadelphia at 5 p.m. on July 4.
