En ese sentido, tomó el dato para aclarar sobre una supuesta división entre ella y los obradoristas.En la Mañanera de este 2 de septiembre, en Palacio Nacional, la mandataria aseguró que este resultado tiene que ver también con los principios. “La aprobación que tenemos o que tiene el gobierno de México, porque no solo es la Presidenta, tiene que ver con que no hemos traicionado. Nos mantenemos primero con los principios de que siempre mantuvimos, principios que tienen que ver con no robar, no mentir y no traicionar al al pueblo. Pero también con principios que tienen que ver con cómo gobernamos. Las políticas que definimos, los programas que definimos. ¿Qué visión tienen? Pues la de la prosperidad compartida, la de por el bien de todos, primero los pobres. Los principios juaristas de no puede haber gobierno rico con pueblo pobre", indicó la mandaria.Sheinbaum destaca la importancia de no traicionar al pueblo de MéxicoAsimismo, Sheinbaum Pardo sostuvo: "Y el principio juarista de que con el pueblo todo y sin el pueblo nada. Despite starring in Christopher Nolan’s hit movie The Odyssey, Elliot Page is still waiting for his phone to ring. The Oscar nominee, 39, played Greek soldier Sinon in Nolan’s fantasy epic, reuniting with the director 16 years after they collaborated on Inception. But in a new interview on the “On Film… With Kevin McCarthy” podcast, Page admitted that the film’s critical and commercial success hasn’t resulted in more acting offers. Host Kevin McCarthy reasoned that Page must be “getting a zillion calls after this movie,” to which Page surprisingly responded, “No, Kevin, I’m not.” “I’d really love to do, ideally, good work,” Page said on the Tuesday, September 1, podcast episode. “That’s what I’d love to do.” Page also discussed his experience on the set of The Odyssey compared to filming Inception before his transition. The actor came out as a transgender man in December 2020. “I had such a great time being in that movie … but I was also personally really uncomfortable,” he said of filming Inception. “I feel like, now, because that’s removed, I don’t have to deal with that when I’m acting, in my performances. I feel like I could do some of my best work now.” “I’m not having to literally work through a performance that I don’t even quite know I’m doing to get to a performance,” he explained. “So, the experience of walking onto a Chris set this time … in ways of it being cathartic, when I wrapped on The Odyssey, I had a moment. There was a full-circle moment.” Page appeared alongside a star-studded cast in The Odyssey, including Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Zendaya and more. However, before the movie’s release, Nolan received criticism from some on the political right for casting Page and Lupita Nyong’o, who played Helen of Troy. In a July interview with the U.K.'s Telegraph newspaper, Nolan said he was unbothered by backlash. “But look, these conversations that happen before people see the film — they’re always irrelevant, because no one having them knows what the film actually is yet,” he said. “All I can do is make the best film I possibly can in the most sincere way. It’s very different from how anyone else would do it, but that’s what adaptation is.” Oscar winner Whoopi Goldberg also passionately defended Page’s casting on The View. “You don’t like Elliot Page? Oklahoma Officer and Wife Accused of Exploiting Elderly Man for Lavish Lifestyle

An Oklahoma police officer and his wife are accused of stealing thousands of dollars from an 82-year-old man and splurging on concert tickets and a cruise with his funds. Andrew McVicker, 28, an officer with the Alva Police Department, and Abbigale McVicker, 24, were arrested Saturday, August 29, on charges of exploitation of an elderly person and conspiracy, according to a news release issued by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation that same day. The McVickers have been linked to multiple financial transfers that “occurred without the victim's knowledge or consent,” the agency said. “The total financial neglect against the 82-year-old victim is estimated to be over $74,000,” the agency also said in the release. In March, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Adult Protective Services learned that the older man, of Alva, was potentially being exploited and initiated an investigation, according to authorities. The investigation revealed that in 2023, the McVickers moved in with the 82-year-old, authorities said. Around the same time, Andrew “was also added to the victim's bank accounts and was made power of attorney,” authorities said. Agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation discovered Andrew withdrew $15,900 from the man’s accounts between April 2025 and May 2026, according to the agency. Andrew also sent more than $25,000 to his wife over Cash App from January 2024 to March 2026, authorities said. Andrew and Abbigale are accused of spending thousands on a variety of expenses, including restaurants, online shopping and transactions that took place in Mexico, according to credit card statements and financial records viewed by KOCO-TV. When investigators interviewed the older man, he said he was unsure whether he allowed the McVickers to use his credit card, the TV station reported. Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents said the man was "barely able to walk and did not appear to be taking care of his hygiene,” per KOCO-TV. Andrew reportedly told investigators with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services that he was assisting the man with “his finances and other needs,” the TV station reported. The Alva Police Department has placed Andrew on administrative leave in connection with the criminal investigation, authorities said. The city of Alva commented on the allegations involving Andrew in a statement on August 29. “While the City of Alva does not comment on personnel matters, nor matters of ongoing investigations, administration and staff have taken immediate and appropriate action based on the limited information provided,” the city said. “We understand the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is conducting an investigation; the City of Alva has and will cooperate fully with said investigation.” It wasn’t immediately clear whether Andrew or Abbigale had retained legal counsel.
