Angelina Jolie's Surprising Revelation About Her Love Life Since Brad Pitt New

Angelina Jolie's Surprising Revelation About Her Love Life Since Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie revealed she hasn’t dated anyone since her split from Brad Pitt nearly a decade ago.The “Salt” actress made the rare comment about her love life in an interview with Yahoo Entertainment while promoting her new film, “Couture.” In the movie, Jolie plays an American filmmaker who gets diagnosed with breast cancer while working at Paris Fashion Week. Her character, Maxine Walker, is romantically involved with a cinematographer, Anton (played by Louis Garrel). Jolie said playing Maxine, who has a daughter, made her realize you can still date while being focused on your kids.“To be candid, I haven’t dated since I divorced a decade ago,” Jolie said. “So I kind of get in my head that that aspect of me is not centered in my life if I’m focusing on my children, my family.”Angelia Jolie, pictured here in October 2025, revealed she hasn’t dated anyone since she split from Brad Pitt nearly 10 years ago. Getty ImagesPitt and Jolie, seen here in November 2015, split in September 2016 after two years of marriage. Dimitrios Kambouris“It took me a second to kind of say, well, she can also love her daughter and be dedicated to her daughter and also need this as a woman and receive this as a woman,” she continued.Jolie, 51, split from Pitt, 62, in September 2016 after two years of marriage, and the exes went through a tumultuous divorce that took eight years to finalize. The exes share six children together: Maddox, 24; Pax, 22; Zahara, 21; Shiloh, 20; and twins Vivienne and Knox, 17.Now that her daughters are older, Jolie told the outlet they’re encouraging her to not just focus on being their mother.“I think in some way they’re bringing me back to my old self,” Jolie said. “My desire for them to have all of the strength and openness and softness and faith and ferocity is reminding me. I think they kind of want me now to not just be ‘Mom.'”The actress said that her daughters are encouraging her to be more than just their mom. Be free again,” she said. “In a way that maybe life has broken me a little bit.”Earlier this month, Jolie told Variety her “fighting spirit” has come back, admitting she “lost it for a bit.”“It’s coming back in large part thanks to my children, who are now older, and encouraging it,” she said.“My kids are almost all 18, so now they want to see me traveling the world,” she added. “They know me more than anybody, and they still like me, which says a lot.”Jolie and Pitt, seen here in May 2009, went through a tumultuous divorce that took eight years to finalize. Trump Calls Landmark Housing Bill a 'Yawn' Amid SAVE America Act Push New

Trump Calls Landmark Housing Bill a 'Yawn' Amid SAVE America Act Push

President Donald Trump downplayed the importance of a bipartisan housing bill that he abruptly placed into limbo last week after demanding that his signature election reform law be sent to his desk alongside it.The president dismissed the housing legislation as a "yawn," arguing it was less impactful than his SAVE America Act, which would significantly retool federal elections in the months leading up to the midterm elections -- including implementing new restrictions on voter registration and mail-in ballots. The bill has been rejected by Democrats who say that it would disenfranchise voters without access to the required documents. President Donald Trump speaks as he signs an executive order on vehicle repairs in the Oval Office at the White House in Washington, June 29, 2026.Aaron Schwartz/Reuters"I made a lot of money with housing, but when I look at that bill, it's a bill. But when I look at the SAVE America Act, it's about saving America," Trump said."It's a yawn. Some people say it's wonderful. To me, compared to the SAVE America Act, just about everything is a big yawn," he added. The legislation primarily aims to address the U.S. housing shortage by increasing supply and carving out new pathways to ownership. The president was initially set to sign the bill last Wednesday, but unexpectedly called off the ceremony, opting instead to use the legislation as leverage to force passage of the SAVE America Act.But pressed on Monday about whether he would ultimately sign the housing bill, Trump wavered, saying it had not yet been sent to him and he would decide later.Popular Reads"It hasn't been sent to me yet. It's coming, I understand," the president said, adding that he would make a determination once he's received the bill.Speaker Mike Johnson officially sent the housing bill to Trump earlier Monday, a source familiar told ABC News.Once Trump receives the bill from Congress, the president has 10 days to veto the legislation, or it will become law automatically. But if Congress were to adjourn before the 10-day period is up, it could fall victim to a pocket veto. While the bill passed with veto-proof majorities, it's unclear what might happen if Trump sends it back to Congress.Trump noted that he wanted to see the SAVE America Act tacked onto the housing bill, but conceded that it may not happen."And I'd like to have the Save America Act added on. And that's probably not going to happen because we have four Republican senators, maybe five, that just won't vote for it," he said. "It's crazy."

The Accidental Invention That Made Slinky an Iconic Toy New

The Accidental Invention That Made Slinky an Iconic Toy

As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, ABC News is taking a look at how the Slinky became a classic American toy. While many may have had one as children, the inception of the toy was accidental. In 1943, Richard T. James, an engineer who was out on a trial run of a ship for the United States Navy, discovered the Slinky when he knocked a spring off of his desk. A Slinky, Magic 8 ball and Plasma Ball are seen on display at the Blockbuster Speakeasy pop-up media preview on November 18, 2022 in Los Angeles, California.Rodin Eckenroth/Getty ImagesWhen the spring fell, James noticed it "walked" and found it fascinating. He went home and told his wife, Betty James, "I think this could be a toy," James' daughter Rebekah James Morris told ABC News. Watch "Disney Celebrates America: The Pursuit of Happiness" from 8-10 p.m. on Monday, June 29, on ABC. In this coast-to-coast event, Disney Parks and attractions are the portal through which America's greatest stories, triumphs and traditions are celebrated.Morris noted that Betty James wasn't so sure at first, but helped him name the toy and found the word "Slinky." In terms of what the toy could do, many had questions about it."One of the problems was that when you look at a Slinky, it just sits there," James' son, Christopher James, told ABC News. "They felt that they needed to demonstrate it to show people what it did."14th June 1946: A boy holds up a 'slinky'. The stretchy hound has returned for each subsequent entry in the franchise, most recently appearing in this year's "Toy Story 5."Christopher James said that his mom was "very proud of the fact that it was becoming one of the few toys that was made in America and invented, made and stayed in America." Disney is bringing its magic to America's 250th anniversary celebration with a series of special events, including a live concert in Nashville, one-of-a-kind experiences at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort and a two-hour primetime special on ABC.The company-wide initiative, "Disney Celebrates America," will also include a 24-hour multiplatform broadcast led by "World News Tonight" anchor David Muir that will take viewers across all 50 states beginning Friday, July 3 through Saturday, July 4.The cross-platform broadcast will span ABC, Disney+, Hulu, National Geographic, FX, Freeform, ABC News Live, ESPN, and ABC Owned Television Stations and affiliates. It will feature anchor Diane Sawyer, "Good Morning America" co-anchors Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos and Michael Strahan, "Nightline" co-anchors Juju Chang and Byron Pitts, "20/20" co-anchor Deborah Roberts and "Prime" and "WNT Sunday" anchor Linsey Davis.Watch "Disney Celebrates America: The Pursuit of Happiness" from 8-10 p.m. on Monday, June 29, on ABC. Trump's Bold Move on Car Repairs Sparks National Debate New

Trump's Bold Move on Car Repairs Sparks National Debate

WASHINGTON—President Donald Trump directed federal officials to expand Americans’ access to automobile parts and allow independent repairs with the signing of a presidential memorandum titled “Lowering the Cost of Living by Promoting the Freedom to Fix” during a White House ceremony on Monday.“We have a big ruling that we’re just issuing now,” Trump said while seated behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office. “I think it’s very important to lower the price of your car.” The president emphasized the cost-savings for Americans who can repair their vehicles and choose parts manufactured by third parties.“In all fairness, this is something that’s very exciting to me,” Trump said. “It means a lot to people that own vehicles, cars in particular, but cars and anything else. It’s going to save them a lot of money, and they’re going to be able to do it themselves.”A dependency on authorized dealers and repair shops limited competition and contributed to higher out-of-pocket costs for consumers, according to the order.Reducing regulations is a hallmark of the administration, with similar actions taken earlier this year to allow for truck, tractor, and commercial vehicle repair. The president has repeatedly made comments this year about protecting consumers from federal and state regulators, as well as corporate gatekeepers.Related Stories“It’s right to fix, and I think it’s really common sense,” Trump said. Lee Zeldin, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) administrator, explained the details of the order during the event. “We are not going to be going after people who are fixing their own vehicle, like past administrations have,” he said, referring to President Joe Biden’s guidance and enforcement during his term in office.Uncertainty currently exists due to the federal Clean Air Act’s emission tampering prohibition, which, according to the order, leaves the approval process in the hands of California regulators. The order seeks to limit the ability of California’s Air Resources Board to regulate aftermarket parts nationwide by encouraging alternative certification opportunities and directs the EPA to provide guidance within 30 days about what emissions repairs are allowable.Officials are advised to deprioritize enforcement against people who restore their vehicles independently.Zeldin challenged California’s regulatory framework, which he said leads to limited supply and price increases, describing the state’s certification process as “backlogged and faulty.”“We’re going to break that monopoly,” the administrator said.Specialty Equipment Market Association, better known as SEMA, CEO Mike Spagnola said in a statement sent to The Epoch Times June 29 that Trump’s memorandum “is more bold action in support of vehicle owners and automotive aftermarket industry businesses from across the nation, and an example of federal leadership on behalf of our nation’s vibrant car culture.”He pinpointed elements of of the order which aim to protect aftermarket manufacturers and expedite approval processes as particularly beneficial for Americans and the industry.“Specifically, Section 3 of today’s memorandum acknowledges the need for certainty at the federal level for automotive aftermarket businesses who seek to certify the emissions compliance of their products,” Spagnola said. “We look forward to further details from EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin as the agency finalizes its guidance on this memorandum.”Along with consumers, auto parts manufacturers, independent businesses, and small repair shops nationwide stand to benefit from the action, with increased access to parts and repair services.Critics, including environmental groups, argue the order risks worsening emissions levels.California’s Air Resources Board did not respond to a request for comment by publication time.

Getty ImagesDriver originally assembled the 20 Henry Street home over several years, scooping up the first unit in 2014 and a second in 2017 before knocking down the walls between them.Property records show the trust tied to the actor paid a combined $4.24 million for both units. He now seeks $5 million for the 2,681-square-foot result of that renovation. The home, housed in a converted 1892 candy factory, was redesigned by Elizabeth Roberts Architects into a loft-style residence featuring soaring ceilings, oversized arched windows, original timber columns and beams, and custom glass-and-steel partitions. Warm teak paneling, bespoke millwork and motorized shades round out the finishes. The six-room layout includes three bedrooms, 2.5 baths and a dedicated study. The building has a doorman, fitness center and cold storage.Carl Gambino of Compass holds the listing. A representative for the broker declined to comment.Driver assembled the 20 Henry Street home over several years, buying the first unit in 2014 and a second in 2017 before combining them into a 2,681-square-foot loft housed in a converted 1892 candy factory. Google MapsAt the Standish, Driver’s three sixth-floor units span 3,500 square feet and set him back more than $3,200 per square foot — among the priciest sales ever recorded in the borough on a per-square-foot basis. The seller was Mark Van Zandt, a managing director at asset manager King Street’s real estate division, and his wife Lindsay. The couple had assembled the trio of apartments between 2017 and 2025, paying $4 million for the three-bedroom Unit 6B, $1.2 million for the one-bedroom Unit 6A in 2021, and $1 million for Unit 601 last year.  Driver’s identity was shielded by a trust in the deal, which was first reported by The Real Deal. The Standish has attracted a notable roster of celebrity buyers in recent years. Driver simultaneously dropped $11.5 million on three sixth-floor units at the Standish, the exclusive Columbia Heights building that counts Matt Damon and Emily Blunt among its residents. Glen E.JohnsonEmily Blunt and John Krasinski bought two adjoining 8th-floor units at The Standish in Brooklyn Heights for just over $11 million in 2019. Jennifer Graylock/INSTARimagesMatt Damon set a then-Brooklyn record in 2017 when he paid $16.8 million for the building’s 6,200-square-foot penthouse. Two years later, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt joined him, paying $11 million for two units that together comprise an entire floor.Driver has steadily built one of Hollywood’s most respected careers since his early days on Lena Dunham’s HBO series “Girls” launched him into the mainstream. He went on to play villain Kylo Ren in the 2015 “Star Wars” installment “The Force Awakens” before earning back-to-back Oscar nominations — first for his supporting turn in Spike Lee’s 2018 film “BlacKkKlansman,” then for his leading role in Noah Baumbach’s 2019 drama “Marriage Story.”The new condo sits steps from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and Brooklyn Bridge Park, with easy access to Lower Manhattan.

Janet Jackson's BET Awards Outfit Honors Michael in a Touching Way

Janet Jackson wore a black-and-white layered look to the BET Awards 2026 on Sunday night. FilmMagicIcons recognize icons.Janet Jackson paid stylish tribute to two late musical legends — Tupac Shakur and her own brother, Michael — on Sunday’s BET Awards 2026 red carpet. The “All For You” songstress, 60, sported a layered black-and-white look topped with a vintage 2Pac T-shirt, a sweet nod to her co-star from the iconic 1993 film “Poetic Justice.”And along with stacks of silver bracelets and a grommeted belt, Jackson accessorized with a jaunty veiled fedora that could’ve been plucked from her sibling’s closet. She honored her late brother Michael with his signature accessory: a fedora. FilmMagicIn his 1991 music video for “Black Or White,” Michael donned a similar look: a layered white tee and unbuttoned black shirt paired with trousers and a fedora. YouTubeMichael was famously fond of hats, and the fedora in particular has become synonymous with his personal style and stage presence.Janet was in attendance at the BET Awards to present Teyana Taylor with the Icon of the Year award. Also in attendance at the ceremony was Michael’s nephew Jaafar Jackson — who portrayed the King of Pop in this year’s “Michael” biopic — and Nia Long, who played family matriarch Katherine Jackson in Antoine Fuqua’s film.In April, several Jackson family members attended the movie’s premiere, though Janet chose to skip the event — as did Michael’s other sister LaToya and his daughter, Paris.Janet’s hat was adorned with feathers and a veil. FilmMagicDuring the ceremony, Janet presented Teyana Taylor with the Icon of the Year award. FilmMagicAs reported by Page Six following a private, separate screening of the biopic, Janet “had something negative about almost every scene,” with a source telling us, “it was Janet deciding against the room that this movie wasn’t going to meet her approval.”And after “Michael” cast member Colman Domingo (who plays Joe Jackson) told People that Paris and brother Prince Jackson were “very much in support of our film,” the former sounded off on Instagram.“Don’t be telling people I was ‘helpful’ on the set of a movie I had zero percent involvement in lol that is so weird,” Paris wrote.Clearly, Janet is choosing to honor her late brother’s legacy on her own terms.

Jodie Turner-Smith's Unique Approach to Explaining Divorce to Her Daughter New

Jodie Turner-Smith's Unique Approach to Explaining Divorce to Her Daughter

Jodie Turner-Smith and ex-husband Joshua Jackson admittedly are in uncharted territory when it comes to discussing divorce with their daughter. “I'm a child of divorce, myself, and so is my ex-husband,” Turner-Smith, 39, said during the Monday, June 29, episode of Hoda Kotb’s “Joy 101” podcast. “It's always been important to think about what is the language around which we are going to talk about this with our daughter because this is her new reality.” She continued, “We're learning as well and not always getting it totally right, but the idea is always two homes filled with love. I'm like, ‘You got two houses, girl.’” Turner-Smith filed for divorce from Jackson, 48, in October 2023 after four years of marriage. Their split was finalized in May 2025. The former couple are parents to daughter Juno, born in April 2020. For Turner-Smith, the “difficult” part of dealing with the split is “navigating the conversation” with her daughter. “You got to walk this line between, obviously, being age appropriate and child-centered in the way that you talk about it,” Turner-Smith continued. “But also keeping it real, so that she has an understanding of what this means.” The actress said books have become her “favorite tool” for these conversations. “I read her so many books about divorce, about what that means. About what that new world is, about what is supposed to be happening, what's not supposed to be happening,” Turner-Smith shared. “Children's books have been helpful as well.” While Turner-Smith and Jackson finalized their divorce last year, their custody battle is still ongoing. Us Weekly reported in April that the former couple hired a private judge to oversee all final custody arrangements, including post-judgment issues, until March 4, 2029. Court documents obtained by Us at the time noted that the judge would oversee future custody modifications and child support matters. Turner-Smith and Jackson agreed to share joint legal and physical custody of their daughter in their divorce settlement with the Dawson’s Creek alum paying child support. However, things became contentious when the exes had a disagreement over what school their daughter would be attending. Us reported in October 2025 that they planned to handle the custody agreement outside of court. “[Turner-Smith and Jackson] are in the process of negotiating a custody judgment,” documents obtained by Us at the time read. “The parties will return to the [a private judge they hired] to resolve any impasses in the proposed custody judgment.”

Audrey Pulvar's Bold Accusation Against Americans Over Europe's Heatwave New

Audrey Pulvar's Bold Accusation Against Americans Over Europe's Heatwave

A Paris politician blamed Americans and US air conditioning for the record-breaking heatwave in Europe that has resulted in more than 1,300 excess deaths. After US tourists mocked France over the lack of air conditioning across the country amid 104 degree temperatures, Audrey Pulvar, deputy mayor of Paris for international relations, claimed the situation was partly America’s fault. Audrey Pulvar blamed the United States and air conditioning for record-breaking European heatwave. Ait Adjedjou Karim/ABACA / Shutterstock“Dear American journalists and social media ‘influencers’: for days, some of you have been criticizing and making fun of Paris because the city does not have A/C in every room…OMG, this is so rich!” Pulvar wrote on social media.“As the second-largest emitter of greenhouse gas emissions in the world, you bear a significant amount of responsibility for global warming and the consequences we, in France, are experiencing. Your cities, which are 90 per cent air conditioned, are not unrelated to this,” she added.“So please, enough with the lecture. Just start doing your part,” the post concluded.France has long-been resistant to air conditioning, with only 25% of households in the country equipped with such cooling units. The reticence to install AC has been attributed to concerns over the environment, the culture, and strict building codes — but the tides have begun changing as summers get hotter and hotter.   The spat between Pulvar and Americans comes amid a record heatwave in Europe, with France experiencing a surge of deaths that have left morgues struggling to keep up. France has recorded at least 1,300 excess deaths since June 21, the public health agency said on Sunday, warning that the final figures could be higher.  Tourists cool off amid sky temperatures in Paris. AP Photo/Christophe EnaDetailing its preliminary count of excess deaths over the weekend, Sante Publique France said most of the fatalities involved older people.  Scientists have said the current heat wave, which began on June 20, was the worst recorded in Europe, where the climate is changing faster than the global average.World Weather Attribution, a Europe-based collaboration of scientists, published a report Friday stating that the current heatwave would not have been possible without climate change.    The current heatwave surpasses the devastating 2003 heatwave, which was blamed for the deaths of 15,000 people in France.
