Soprattutto: riuscirà a ottenerlo? E cosa succederà all’Ucraina e all’Europa? Belle domande, eh. Tutto chiaro, no?

U.S. Troops Regain Command in Kosovo for the First Time Since 2014

AP Photo/Yuki IwamuraClarkson called out store staffers in an X rant last weekend, claiming that she was treated like Julia Roberts’ character in “Pretty Woman” during her visit.“Just drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out this store I thought looked really rad and had a few things in mind to buy and literally was looked at as if I couldn’t afford it and was told he could find something comparable for me,” she wrote in the post.“Wow, dude. You’re an idiot and just lost a huge sale. But y’all should go check out Art of Play in Brooklyn if you enjoy being treated like Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman. For sure, check it out 👎,” she added. After taking heat from Clarkson’s fanbase, the store owners responded in a statement, explaining that Clarkson inquired about purchasing a large mechanical bird named “Molly” that wasn’t for sale.Clarkson had initially inquired about a mechanical bird named Molly (shown above) on display at the store. Gregory P. Mango for NY PostThe bird had a $15,000 price tag when Clarkson visited, but it has since been increased to $15,000,000, as seen above. Gregory P. Mango for NY PostClarkson fired back in a follow-up post accusing the store of lying.“Cool, cool. Sure, it wasn’t for sale. That’s the narrative Art of Play is gonna go with 👍,” she wrote on X. “So the whole conversation we had when I asked you if it was for sale whilst pointing to the price tag hanging on the wall with the title Singing Bird didn’t happen as you elevator eyed me saying in a condescending tone ‘yes, it’s for sale but it costs 15,000 dollars so if you’d like me to find something comparable for you I can.'”“That all never happened and now it’s not for sale. Okay, cool. So you’re not only rude, you’re also a liar. Got it ✅.”She also shared a photo of the feathered automaton next to what appeared to be a $15,000 price tag.Store co-owner Adam Rubin exclusively spoke with Page Six this week to break down his employees’ version of events. Clarkson (seen here in 2023) accused the store of treating her like Julia Roberts’ character in “Pretty Woman.” Getty Images for iHeartRadioThe singer (seen here in 2025) also accused the store of lying about their interaction. Art Streiber/NBC via Getty Images“She did not take out her Black Card and try to buy the thing off the wall. She was not told no, she was not told to leave,” Rubin said.“She asked about the bird. It’s on the wall, and attached permanently. It was explained to her that it’s a complicated situation to get these things made,” he continued. “They take years. There’s one guy that makes them, and if we have seriously interested buyers, then we talk to the artist and try to work something out.”Instead, Rubin claimed his employee asked if the “Since U Been Gone” artist wanted to view a similar automaton priced at $2,000.“It’s just like [a] he-said, she-said thing, right?” Rubin said. “So she’s going to say one thing, I’m going to say another thing. The point of it is, nothing happened in the shop that was so dramatic that it’s worth throwing a Molotov cocktail into a mom-and-pop business.”Reps for Clarkson did not immediately return requests for comment.Rubin accused Clarkson of wielding her celebrity status to publicly attack a small business, claiming that he and his staffers were subsequently inundated with hateful messages.Clarkson (seen here in 2024) roasted the store on X last weekend. GC ImagesThe store has received a flood of hate mail since Clarkson (seen here in 2023) went on her rant, the store owner told Page Six. GC ImagesThe pop star was seen shopping in the store in leaked security footage obtained by the “Pablo Torre Finds Out” podcast, seen above. Pablo Torre Finds OutRubin noted that no one in the store recognized Clarkson and that she was treated just like any other customer. He also said that, despite their feud, she is welcome back in his store anytime.Leaked security footage from Clarkson’s visit showed the “Breakaway” singer, dressed casually in a baseball cap and oversized tee, browsing the shop for less than five minutes before appearing to scold staffers and storm out.Page Six reached out to Art of Play for further comment. One in Four US Public School Teachers Consider Quitting Amid Low Job Satisfaction

See more of our coverage in your search results. A class of their own.One in four US public school teachers said they are likely to quit within the next year — as only a third of them feel appreciated, according to a concerning new survey. Just 35% of K-12 educators say they “matter a great deal” at their school, while almost one in five (19%) say they don’t matter much or at all, according to a report released Wednesday by the Walton Family Foundation, Gallup, and the Mattering Institute.Among those teachers who feel like they don’t matter, more than two-thirds (68%) described themselves as frequently burned out, and fewer than half planned to remain in education, the survey found.Teachers at private, independent, or charter schools, meanwhile, were far more likely than their public school counterparts to believe they matter a great deal. Only a third of public school teachers feel they “matter a great deal,” a new survey found. Ivan – stock.adobe.comEducators who teach special education were also more likely than those teaching other subjects to feel they matter a great deal.Age was also a major factor in job satisfaction among teachers.Almost half (47%) of teachers 60 or older said they mattered a great deal, compared with 31-to-34% among younger age groups. An astonishing one in four public school teachers said they were either very (12%) or somewhat (13%) likely to leave their current job within the next year.Just over half (52%) of educators said they plan to remain in the classroom for the rest of their careers, while 12% said they don’t plan to remain in the profession and 24% said they were unsure. The study found that those teachers who felt like they mattered were far more likely to say they wanted to stay in the field throughout their careers. Half of educators plan to quit the profession. Framestock – stock.adobe.comOver a third (41%) of educators with low investment scores said they were likely to leave, compared with 24% with moderate scores and just 12% with high investment scores.“The findings of our study reveal a troubling gap,” said The Mattering Institute founder Jennifer Wallace.“Too few of America’s K–12 educators feel they truly matter. But they also point to a path forward, with simple, research-backed practices that school leaders, parents and communities can use to help educators feel valued, supported, and able to see the difference they make,” she went on.“The people who help our children know they matter deserve to know they matter, too,” Wallace added.

Maryland Man Sues Novo Nordisk After Ozempic Use Leads to Legal Blindness New

Maryland Man Sues Novo Nordisk After Ozempic Use Leads to Legal Blindness

Published 11:33 16 Oct 2026 GMT+1"I wake up in the dark, I go to sleep in the darkness".Weight loss medications are all the rage right now, but the tale of Todd Engel may put a few customers off products like Ozempic. From the US state of Maryland, the 63-year-old retired truck driver is now legally blind after being prescribed Ozempic to treat his diabetes back in 2023. Panicked terror was just around the corner, as four months into his usage of the GLP-1 drug, Engel's vision in his right eye ceased to exist. "I first noticed it on New Year's Eve, 2024," he told Fox News Digital. "I had just gotten out of the shower, was getting ready to go to work and I said to [wife] Shelley, 'I can't see in my right eye. It's totally black. It's totally dark in my right eye'. I was horrified. I was very, very upset that I couldn't see."AdvertHaving sought out testing at The John Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute, he was subsequently diagnosed with non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), otherwise known as an 'eye stroke'.This life-changing condition can cause sudden and permanent loss of vision, yet Engel nor the doctors were aware of any association between Ozempic's chemical contents and NAION, so he continued taking it. Weight loss jabs such as Ozempic are primarily used to treat diabetes patients (Getty Stock Images)10 months later, the same thing happened to his left eye. "At that point in time, losing sight in both eyes, there was a tremendous amount of concern," reflected Engel. "I didn't go blind — I had my vision taken from me, which was catastrophic to me and to my family". Due to his health, he was forced to stop working for Howard County Highways. "I was extremely mechanically inclined with my hands and in my mind. I can't do that anymore, which is extremely upsetting to me," Engel noted."People want to be able to retire on their own accord when they want to, not when a medical catastrophic injury such as this takes away your livelihood."Tragically, surgery isn't an option to restore his eyesight. "I will never be able to see my wife's beautiful face again, be able to see children and grandchildren, be able to play ball with them," he tragically lamented."I wake up in the dark, I go to sleep in the darkness."Had I known, had my doctor had any inkling that this could have happened... I'm sure he would have asked me and I would have said: 'Absolutely not. I will deal with the diabetes. I refuse to jeopardise my eyes.'"Todd Engel's life has dramatically changed after being prescribed Novo Nordisk's product (Fox News)Danish manufacturer Novo Nordisk is now being sued by the Engel family, alleging that the firm did not warn patients and doctors about the potential health risks connected to its product, Ozempic. In response, Global Head and AVP for Novo, Ambre James-Brown shared in a statement obtained by LADbible: "We recognise that vision loss can have a profound impact on patients and their families."Patient safety is a top priority for Novo, and we take all reports of adverse events seriously. We care deeply about the wellbeing of people who take our medicines and collaborate closely with health authorities and regulatory bodies worldwide. "Semaglutide has a well-established safety profile, supported by robust clinical development programs, with exposure from post-marketing use of over 58 million patient-years across oral and injectable formulations in obesity and type 2 diabetes."Semaglutide has the largest post-marketing exposure among GLP-1-based therapies, providing substantial experience across diverse patient populations. We recommend that all patients maintain close contact with their healthcare professional for proper diagnosis, appropriate treatment, ongoing guidance, and careful monitoring. Novo believes the personal injury lawsuits filed in the US are without merit and we are defending them in court."Featured Image Credit: Nick Hennen/Motley RiceTopics: Ozempic, Health, US News

9 Surprising Ways Context Shapes Our Memories New

9 Surprising Ways Context Shapes Our Memories

1. Why the Setting Influences What We RememberThe environment in which we learn or experience something plays a crucial role in how well we recall it. Known as context-dependent memory, this phenomenon suggests that our surroundings can serve as cues, triggering the retrieval of information. For example, students often find it easier to recall study material in the same room where they learned it. This is because the physical context can become intertwined with the memory itself, aiding in its recall.2. How Mood Acts as a Memory FilterOur emotional state can significantly affect what we remember. When we're happy, we're more likely to recall positive events, while sadness tends to bring negative memories to the forefront. This is called mood-congruent memory. It's fascinating how our current emotions can act like a filter, highlighting memories that match our mood, which can sometimes distort our perception of past events.3. The Role of Scent in Memory RecallScents have a powerful link to memory, often triggering vivid recollections. This is due to the olfactory bulb's direct connection to the brain's limbic system, which is associated with emotion and memory. A whiff of a familiar perfume or the smell of fresh-baked bread can instantly transport you to a specific time and place, demonstrating how scents can serve as potent memory triggers.4. The Impact of Social Context on Memory FormationThe people around us during an event can influence how we remember it. Social interactions and shared experiences can enhance memory recall, as we often discuss and reinforce these memories with others. Conversely, if we learn something in isolation, it might not embed as deeply. This social reinforcement helps solidify memories, making them more vivid and long-lasting.5. How Stress Alters Memory AccuracyStress can significantly affect how memories are formed and recalled. Under stress, the brain releases hormones that can either impair or enhance memory, depending on the situation. While moderate stress might help focus and improve memory retention, chronic stress can lead to fragmented or distorted memories. This dual effect shows how stress can both sharpen and blur our recollections.6. Why Memories Can Change Over TimeMemories aren't static; they can evolve with time and new experiences. Each time we recall a memory, it becomes susceptible to alteration based on current knowledge and beliefs. This reconstructive process can lead to changes in the memory's details, demonstrating how our perception of past events is often a blend of actual experiences and current interpretations.7. The Power of Visual Context in MemoryVisual cues can greatly enhance memory recall. Seeing an object or a photograph associated with a specific memory can trigger a cascade of related recollections. This is because visual information is processed rapidly by the brain and often stored with rich detail, making it a powerful tool for memory retrieval. This is why visual aids are frequently used in educational settings.8. How Time of Day Affects Memory RetentionThe time of day can influence how well we remember things. Research suggests that our cognitive abilities, including memory, can fluctuate with our circadian rhythms. For many people, memory retention is stronger in the morning when the brain is fresh, while others might find their memory sharpest in the evening. Understanding your personal rhythm can help optimize learning and recall.9. The Role of Repetition in Strengthening MemoriesRepetition is a key factor in solidifying memories. Repeated exposure to information or experiences reinforces neural pathways, making it easier to recall the memory later. This is why practices like spaced repetition are effective for learning, as they allow the brain to strengthen these connections gradually over time, leading to more durable and accessible memories.
