Siniša Mali posle posete Kleku prešao iz stare škode u luksuzni crni automobil New

Do objave ovog teksta odgovor nismo dobili.

Tic. A.Ş'ye aittir. Civil servant accused of holding five jobs totalling 183 hours a week

Updated 13:37 14 Oct 2026 GMT+1Published 12:30 14 Oct 2026 GMT+1Civil servant Kashim Chowdhury, 55, is also accused of 'pretending to be ill' and putting on white makeup in a video callA civil servant taking home five salaries was contracted to work more hours that exist in a week, according to prosecutors.Kashim Chowdhury, from Whitechapel, east London, has been accused of lying about his employment status by pretending to work 183 hours a week for five jobs. There are 186 hours in a week, making this physically impossible.Jurors at Southwark Crown Court were told that the 55-year-old earned almost £350,000 from eight employers between February 2020 and September 2023.AdvertProsecutor Lucy Organ recalled a ‘laughable’ incident in May 2023 when Chowdhury allegedly put on white makeup during a video call to pretend that he was ill.His UKHSA manager Aleesha Adams had arranged a video call to discuss his recent sick leave, as the court heard that Chowdhury had told employers he had to work from home to care for his ‘unwell’ mother.Chowdhury appeared on camera ‘coughing and blowing his nose’, the court heard, while Adams said that his face appeared white, as his neck was a different colour.Kashim Chowdhury denies nine counts of fraud (PA)“There could be no doubt about it, the defendant had applied makeup to his face for this Teams meeting to try and pretend to his line manager that he was unwell,” she said.“This almost laughable incident demonstrates, we say, quite how far the defendant was willing to go in his deceit.”Chowdhury started working at Tower Hamlets Council in February 2020, followed by Defra in April 2021.During 2022, he also worked for East London NHS Trust for four months. After leaving the council, he reportedly took further positions at the Department of Health and Social Care, UK Health Security Agency, Department for Business and Trade, Food Standards Agency and Home Office.By May 2023, he allegedly held five full-time jobs simultaneously, totalling 183 contracted hours weekly. The defendant denies nine counts of fraud.Chowdhury has been accused of earning £350,000 from eight employers (PA)Organ said that between March 2020 and September 2023, Chowdhury had over £300,000 in credits into his three bank accounts and nearly £250,000 in debits.“He also made, the prosecution say, continuing implied false representations by having a full-time job and not revealing to his employers that he had other full-time employment,” she added.“In fact members of the jury, you will hear evidence that at times he positively lied about his employment history and having other full-time jobs.“He concealed that he had multiple simultaneous employments from his employers. As a result, he was paid for multiple full-time jobs at the same time.“We say those jobs were obtained by false representation – fraud – and made a financial gain for himself from this fraud.”Featured Image Credit: PATopics: Money, Jobs, UK News, Crime

Older breast cancer gene tests missed dangerous variants in one in six women New

Older breast cancer gene tests missed dangerous variants in one in six women

See more of our coverage in your search results. About 5% to 10% of breast cancer cases are linked to inherited gene mutations, which is why doctors recommend all women complete a risk assessment by age 25 to determine if they should get further genetic testing for cancer-linked BRCA mutations. But women who got their genetic test results a while ago — before 2013 — may find it missed mutations we can easily test for now.In fact, a recent study found than one in six women (17.3%) who tested negative for dangerous mutations in the early days of testing actually did have a dangerous variant when they retested an average of five years later.“There are probably thousands of individuals out there who need to be retested,” Dr. Sofia Merajver, a breast cancer researcher, told the Washington Post. Genetic testing in patients who are at high-risk of breast cancer is an important way to potentially catch breast cancer early, like self-exams, seen here. Krakenimages.com – stock.adobe.comWhy was testing less accurate before? You’ve probably heard of BRCA1 and BRCA2 — when these genes mutate, they carry the highest risk of breast cancer. When cancer does develop in people with mutations on these genes, it’s often more aggressive. These genes were identified in the ’90s by Myriad Genetics, and for 15 years, the company held exclusive rights to screen and test for BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations. Tests usually looked for one or the other, or both, excluding many other genes we now know hold risk.In 2013, the Supreme Court ruled that human genes couldn’t be patented, opening the door for easier testing that looked at both BRCA genes as well as mutations on up to 50 cancer-related genes in one test. After 2013, costs also dropped from around $4,000 to less than $400. As a result, testing among both men and women steadily increased over the next decade. As research has expanded, we now know about at least 11 more genes linked to increased risk of breast cancer outside of BRCA1 and BRCA2.But that’s not an exhaustive list: Dozens of other genes are being investigated to see if they increase a person’s risk of breast cancer.“It’s very worthwhile for someone to get retested because if you’ve only been tested for BRCA1 and 2, you only have part of the story,” Dr. Versha Pleasant, a breast cancer researcher, told the Washington Post. Genetic testing for breast cancer risk might look like a blood sample or cheek swab. MINAE – stock.adobe.comShould you get tested for genetic breast cancer risk?In the study that showed more than one in six women got a false negative on breast cancer genetic testing, most only returned to get retested after a family member was diagnosed.Having a first degree relative (parent, sibling, or child) with breast cancer almost doubles a woman’s risk of developing it themselves. Family history is one of the most important factors in a standard risk assessment assessing whether you should get genetic testing done. Ideally, it should be done with a doctor as DIY risk assessmentsGenetic testing is especially important for those who’ve already been diagnosed with cancer, as genetic mutations could change treatment plans. For example, after a test shows a high-risk inherited gene mutation, a doctor may recommend a mastectomy (removal of all breast tissue) rather than a lumpectomy (removal of the tumor only, preserving the breast) to drop risk of cancer returning to the single digits. Also, medications may work well for a certain mutation but not another. Genetic testing can point doctors to what treatment will work best.

Guillermo Rodriguez exits DWTS after landing last on Super Bowl Night

The first-ever “Super Bowl Night” on “Dancing With the Stars” resulted in game over for a fan-favorite pair hoping to win the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson were sent home after dancing a Salsa to “Tití Me Preguntó” by Bad Bunny, which received a total score of 22/40 from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli — plus guest judge Joe Buck — putting them at the bottom of the leaderboard.“I had a lot of fun.
