Prince Harry was met with boos when he was spotted enjoying a low-key outing at a rugby match on Friday.
Harry, who was not accompanied by his wife, Meghan Markle, was apparently having a beer and watching the Leicester vs. Gloucester matchup with Andrea Pinchen, the Leicester chief executive, when he was cast on the venue’s big screen, per APF.
Some spectators responded with boos before TNT network cameras cut away.
“Some boos there,” confirmed TNT commentator Nick Mullins, according to the outlet.
Harry’s strained relationship with his father, King Charles, and older brother, Prince William, has been extensively documented since he and Markle stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 and relocated to California.
Additionally, the couple has since publicly aired grievances against the royal family, including in their 2022 Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan,” and Harry’s explosive 2023 memoir, “Spare.”
As previously reported, Page Six confirmed in August that Meghan and Harry were returning to the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, for “an extended period,” reportedly to be closer to his dad, who is currently battling cancer.
The couple’s return to the UK has been an uneven process, starting with enrolling their kids in a ritzy $35K-a-year prep school, only to pull Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, from the school after two days due to a security risk.
Now, it seems they won’t be spending Christmas with the royal family this year as tension between the Sussexes and Harry’s relatives continues.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have no plans to join Charles, William and the rest of the royal family for their traditional Christmas celebrations at Sandringham, a source exclusively told Page Six.
The decision comes amid the ongoing rift between Harry and his family, with the pair seemingly having decided to avoid any potentially uncomfortable encounters over the holidays.
The news comes just days after royal experts dismissed reports that Harry, 42, and Markle, 45, were planning to apologize to William and his wife, Kate Middleton, in hopes of ending their years-long feud.
