Christa Pike was scheduled to be executed in Tennessee on 30 September
Christa Pike's lawyers have revealed her condition in an update after she was taken to hospital after surviving two doses of lethal injection on 30 September.
Having been injected with two rounds during her scheduled execution, Pike allegedly 'remains critically ill' and is being treated at a hospital in Nashville, Texas, per her legal team.
The status update was given in court filings today, per CBS News, which claims she has suffered significant injuries to both arms and requires a ventilator to breathe.
The 50-year-old was injected with two doses of pentobarbital during her execution, despite earlier petitions to stop it from going ahead.

"We don't have a sense of her prognosis or much update on her health at the moment," her lawyer Randy Spivey previously said at a news conference on Thursday. "But we do know that that she is alive right now."

WPLN reporter Catherine Sweeney witnessed the execution attempt, and revealed that Pike was still conscious after the attempt to stop her heart with the injection.
"They went through two rounds, and she was still breathing at the end, it was very ragged, she lifted her head up and was looking around at one point," she said.
"She said there was a spot that was burning and hurting and asked if that was normal. None of that was normal."
In light of the failure, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee said the investigation into Pike's execution 'will be thorough' but 'it's going to take time'.
"There are a lot of questions," he said. "The people of our state deserve to have those questions answered, and that's what this investigation is for."
Journalists inside the execution chamber have since come out to talk about the 50-year-old's condition in the immediate moments after the drug was administered.
For example, she was allegedly heard 'snoring loudly' for up to 40 minutes after being given the 'lethal' drug.
The Tennessee Department of Correction has since insisted that they did everything correctly, with a spokesperson claiming: "The Tennessee Department of Correction followed every step of the State's lawful, established execution protocol approved by the Attorney General's Office.
"The lethal injection chemical in the protocol has consistently been effective, and the protocol does not allow for additional procedures beyond what was carried out this evening. Christa Pike has been transported to an off-site medical facility."
Recently, Donald Trump was asked by White House reporters on whether or not he would push for reforms to capital punishment due to Pike’s situation.
That’s when the US leader said: “Well, that was an interesting situation, but you’re going to have to speak to Tennessee about it, whether or not they’re going to go forward.
“You know what that was about. That was an execution where the medication didn’t exactly work.”
President Trump then said to Ronny Jackson, a Republican congressman and former physician, that he’d need clarification on what happened, as Jackson replied: "I don’t know how that happens. It should be easy to do."
"It shouldn’t be very difficult," Trump agreed.
