Brooke Hogan Reveals the Moment Her Relationship with Hulk Hogan Changed Forever

Brooke was estranged from her famous dad at the time of his death in 2024
Brooke Hogan has said her relationship with her famous dad Hulk Hogan was never the same after he slept with one of her best friends.
Hulk, real name Terry Bollea, passed away in July 2025 after suffering a heart attack aged 71.
Brooke, 38, was estranged from her father at the time of his death and has recently opened up about their strained relationship.
Speaking to US Weekly, Brooke said a ‘major turning point’ in their relationship came after her dad slept with her friend Christiane Plante, while he was still married to Brooke’s mum Linda.

“I forgive people very easily — sometimes probably too easily — and I forgave him, but something between us changed afterward,” she shared.
“I don’t think he ever related to me in quite the same way again.”

Plante confirmed that she had had an affair with the late WWE star in 2009, but said both he and Linda ‘privately knew their marriage was ending’.
Linda, 68, filed for divorce in 2007 after 24 years of marriage.
At the time, Linda’s publicist, Gary Smith, told E! News: "When Linda discovered Hulk had [an affair] with Brooke's best friend, Christiane Plante, she made the decision to call it quits on the marriage.”
After that, Brooke says the ‘entire family structure changed’ for her and brother Nick.
"Over time, things became increasingly complicated until eventually the relationship I had always believed could survive anything couldn’t survive what was happening around us anymore," Brooke explained.
"That’s probably the biggest thing I wish people understood about the Hogan family: Public perception reduces families into heroes and villains. Real families aren’t that simple.”
Brooke went on to say that although the family shared ‘tremendous love’ the relationships also battled ‘dysfunction, fear, resentment, enormous betrayal, money, fame, image management and decades of unresolved hurt all existing underneath the same roof’.
At the time of her father’s death, Brooke shared a statement on social media explaining that her and dad never had a ‘big fight’ and shot down claims in the media that the pair had been fighting.

“It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand,” she wrote.
“My father was confiding in me about issues weighing on his heart, both personal and business.
“I offered to be a life raft in whatever capacity he needed. I told him he had my support.”
She continued: "I know in my heart I did everything I could.
“He knew I would run through a burning building for him. And in many ways, along the path of life, I did. He knows how deeply, how hard and how purely I loved him. I am at peace knowing this.”
In her new interview Brooke stressed that she can love her father ‘profoundly and still tell the truth about where he hurt me’.
After he split from Linda, Hulk went on to marry Jennifer McDaniel in 2010 before divorcing in 2021.
He then married yoga instructor Sky Daily in September 2023.
