Kim Zolciak's Son KJ Pleads for Jail Release Amid Serious Allegations

Kim Zolciak’s 15-year-old son, KJ Biermann, is begging to be released from jail, citing good character, strong academics, football achievements and scholarship offers.

Biermann’s attorney, Jason B. Sheffield, filed documents in the Superior Court of Fulton County on Wednesday requesting a bond hearing for his client, who has been locked up at Atlanta’s Metro Regional Youth Detention Center since his Aug. 17 arrest for felony aggravated sodomy and felony aggravated sexual battery.

“The accused turned 15 years old in May. He is a high school student in good standing who has demonstrated strong academic achievement and regularly participates in extracurricular and community-based activities,” Sheffield argued in the filing obtained Thursday by Page Six.

“He is an accomplished football player who has received scholarship offers based upon his athletic ability.”

Sheffield went on to reference Biermann’s “substantial” ties to his “family and community,” stating that he “maintains a home and relationship” with both Zolciak, 48, and dad Kroy Biermann, 40.

He also has “five siblings” and is “surrounded by an established community of extended family, friends, coaches, teachers and others who remain actively involved in his life and continue to support him and his family during the pendency of these serious allegations.”

According to Sheffield, the aforementioned “are not merely favorable attributes” but rather “ties that bind [KJ] to his home, his school, his family and this community,” providing “structure, supervision, accountability and compelling reasons for him to remain here and comply with every condition imposed by this court.”

Sheffield also stressed that KJ “participated in the development of evidence in his defense, including voluntarily submitting to a polygraph examination.” The results of that test, Sheffield claimed, “showed no deception when answering the two relevant questions concerning the alleged conduct.”

Sheffield then pointed out that KJ “did not run from the allegation, from law enforcement or from this court” and “did not contact or intimidate witnesses.”

Sheffield also requested that future developments in the case be redacted or sealed and that courtroom proceedings be closed to the public in order to “protect the accused and any other juvenile’s statutory confidentiality, privacy and fair-trial rights.”

He noted that the “already difficult circumstances” have been “complicated by a wildfire of social-media activity and widespread media coverage,” claiming “neither child chose this attention.”

KJ — born Kroy Jagger Biermann Jr. — was detained by the Alpharetta Police Department following an incident from April in which a female classmate — who described herself as his “girlfriend’s best friend” — accused him of sexually assaulting her in the Life Time fitness center in Alpharetta, Georgia.

The girl alleged that, while in a co-ed sauna, KJ forced himself on her and attempted “multiple times to have sexual intercourse with her by trying to pull down her pants,” despite her rejections.

Additionally, she accused KJ of forcing her to provide oral sex before he digitally penetrated her vagina, claiming that when she “finally managed to get away from him … he pulled up his pants and left.”

The next day, after finally telling her family what had allegedly happened, the girl was examined at the Wellstar North Fulton Medical Center, but no evidence of male DNA was found in her mouth or vagina.

“He is not only presumed innocent, but is, in fact, innocent,” Sheffield insisted in part after the news made headlines.

Meanwhile, Zolciak — whose life and family were previously featured on both “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and “Don’t Be Tardy” — also blasted the “reckless and deeply troubling” allegations.

She warned that “false accusations” can result in “devastating consequences” for both the person accused and “genuine survivors of sexual assault and abuse.”

Two months before her eldest son’s arrest, the former Bravolebrity publicly praised his “work ethic, dedication, discipline and drive,” marveling that he had taught her “strength, compassion [and] patience.”

Kroy, for his part, has not responded to Page Six’s repeated requests for comment.
