Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's Wedding: Why Everyone's Calling It 'The Royal Event'

Share Post

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are about to give Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a run for their money, according to their friends.

Page Six exclusively caught up with Kyle and Kristin Juszczyk at the Tight Ends & Friends Concert presented by Reese’s in Nashville Tuesday night, where they compared the couple’s upcoming nuptials to the royal wedding.

“Oh my gosh, everyone’s just so excited for them,” exclaimed Kristin, who has designed custom gameday gear worn by Swift in recent years. “We’ve known Travis for a while now and we’re just so happy that he found his person.”

The San Francisco 49ers fullback added, “Really, it is just excitement … it’s the royal wedding!”

George and Claire Kittle also spoke with Page Six Tuesday night, where they gushed over the soon-to-be newlyweds. The NFL star and his wife — who have been married since 2019 — have been friends with Kelce for years, and became close with Swift once the two began dating.

“She’s wonderful, bless her heart,” George, who co-founded Tight End U with Kelce and Greg Olsen, said of the pop star, noting that she and his close pal don’t need any advice. “They’re fine!”

Claire, meanwhile, called Swift “fabulous,” “chill,” “down-to-earth” and always “so much fun” to hang out with. Her advice to the couple?

“Don’t go to bed angry, because no fight matters that much,” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model shared. “You can talk about it tomorrow, you know?”

Tuesday night’s star-studded party — hosted by Tight End University alongside Sports Illustrated — brought out several celebs and athletes for a night of fun following their epic pre-Super Bowl bash in San Francisco, California, back in February. At the time, Page Six spotted Kelce dancing to several Swift songs while crashing the DJ booth.

Needless to say, the latest Tight Ends & Friends event proved to be just as memorable. Swift joined musical guest Lainey Wilson on stage for a surprise duet of her 2008 hit song “Love Story.”

Swift stunned in an asymmetrical black dress with a ruffled silver hem. She asked the band when taking the stage, “Do you wanna do ‘Love Story’?”

She told the crowd the song was a “special request by a very special tight end” before naming Kittle, who co-founded TEU with her fiance and former player Greg Olsen in 2021.

Other guests in attendance Tuesday night included Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay, Cameron Rose Newell, Chase Rice, Hardy, Brock Bowers, Greg Olsen and many more.

“This is a three-day sprint!” George exclaimed when Page Six asked what it was like putting the days-long event together. “[It’s so fun] to hang out with everybody, just enjoy ourselves. It’s going to be a great time.”

The bash kicked off ahead of Swift and Kelce’s highly anticipated wedding.

Page Six exclusively reported earlier this month that the “You Belong With Me” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end will say “I do” at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden during the July 3rd weekend.

Swift and Kelce, both 36, have been dating since 2023.

The two broke the internet last August when they announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post, complete with stunning snaps from the athlete’s romantic backyard proposal. Since then, their “Love Story” has only gotten stronger.
