The alleged incident took place the same night the singer — who is currently on his “Different Night Same Rodeo” tour — cancelled his show in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

At the time, the “Fall in Love” crooner took to Instagram to share he had “not been feeling well” and needed to take time to recover.

“Y’all know there’s nothing I love more than getting out on the road and playing these shows for you,” he wrote at the time. “So it’s so hard for me to have to say this, but I have to reschedule tonight’s (5/27) and Saturday’s (5/30) shows.

I have not been feeling well and have tried to power through, but I’m not able to give you all the show you deserve. I hate letting y’all down and was really looking forward to these shows, but I gotta take care of myself so I can get back out there stronger,” he continued.

He reassured his fans that all of their tickets would be “honored for the new dates” and thanked them for their “prayers and understanding.”

However, according to an affidavit obtained by TMZ, the 26-year-old was supposed to perform at the amphitheater at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, but security at the hotel said he appeared drunk throughout the evening.

Authorities said he was stumbling, falling, and acting belligerently onstage for sound check. They also said he was throwing equipment around on the stage.

Once he left the sound check, he went back to the resort and canceled the show, but the resort then kicked him out because of his behavior, per the affidavit.

He allegedly refused to leave in a bus the resort provided, and the hotel ultimately called the cops. He was eventually escorted off the property, and once housekeeping entered his room, they found it destroyed.

Notably, many fans in the comments section of his announcement were quick to call out how Zimmerman canceled the May 27 show with only about an hour notice.

“maybe next time don’t post this less than an hour before the shows supposed to start? 😂,” one wrote.

“As much of a big fan that I am of you bro you did [New Mexico] dirty telling us 40 mins before doors open that your canceling like everyone traveled and everything” another disappointed fan added.

Others pointed out that he had previously canceled performances with short notice.
