Share Post

CrossFit coach Kerrie Olsen is recovering after sustaining a traumatic brain injury in a golf cart accident in Mexico. The incident happened during her vacation in Puerto Vallarta, and she has since been transported back to Utah for further treatment.

Medical Treatment and Recovery Process

Olsen underwent surgery in Mexico and was medically evacuated to Utah by May 6. She has had numerous tests, including CT scans and MRIs, as medical professionals develop her treatment plan. Physical therapy has started to aid her recovery.

Family Support and Fundraising Efforts

Her husband Paul was present during the crash but was uninjured. Their family, including their three children, supported her before she was moved to the intensive care unit at home. A GoFundMe page raised more than $92,000 to assist with her medical expenses.

Challenges Ahead

The major challenge in Olsen's recovery will be managing "brain fog," necessitating limited interaction even with close family members. The GoFundMe urges people not to visit her in the hospital as she needs rest to focus her energy on healing.

Kerrie's family appreciates the love and support and continues to ask for prayers as they navigate the long road ahead.
