Prince Harry's Australia Tour: The Unexpected Rift with William Deepens

Share Post

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's visit to Australia has reportedly intensified the strained relationship with Prince William. During an appearance at the InterEdge Summit on April 16, Harry discussed leaving his role as a senior royal.

Harry's Remarks and Family Tension

Harry expressed his discontent with his previous royal duties, saying he did not want the job. These comments were not well-received by Prince William, according to sources.

A source revealed concerns about Harry and Meghan's activities appearing too similar to official royal tours, despite them no longer being working royals. This has reportedly been a source of frustration for William and Kate Middleton.

Ongoing Strain in the Royal Relationship

The couple's frequent media presence is said to contribute to ongoing tensions, creating barriers in mending the brothers' relationship. There remains little communication between Harry and William, with sources claiming a persistent distance.

Currently, there are no plans for reconciliation from William's side, who maintains firm boundaries.

The Australia Visit

During their trip to Australia starting April 14, Harry and Meghan visited several locations, including the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne and veteran support organizations. Their activities mirrored a visit made by Princess Diana 40 years earlier.

This was the couple's first visit to Australia since their 2018 royal tour. Following their departure from royal duties, they moved to Montecito, California.

Despite rumors of tension with family members, it is noted that Harry recently met with King Charles for a private meeting in London. The King's openness for future meetings suggests potential family reconciliation efforts.
