The alleged shooter, Cole Tomas Allen, was arrested nearby with several weapons. He faces three criminal charges after being accused of possessing a shotgun, pistol, and knives. Allen reportedly traveled to Washington D.C. armed with these weapons.

Allen’s lawyer stated he has no prior criminal record and is presumed innocent at this stage.
