D4vd Charged With Murder: What the Cause of Celeste Rivas' Death Revealed
Celeste Rivas' cause of death has been revealed as multiple penetrating injuries, shortly after R&B singer D4vd was charged with her murder. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office announced these findings following an autopsy.
Details of the Investigation
An autopsy detailed "two penetrating wounds" in Rivas' torso and additional dismemberment and skin defects. A toxicology report indicated the presence of benzodiazepines, methamphetamines, MDMA, and alcohol in her system at the time of death. Further tests are required to confirm these findings completely.
Rivas’ death has been officially ruled a homicide. Her body was found on September 8, 2025, in a Tesla registered to D4vd, real name David Anthony Burke, following a parking violation notice and subsequent impounding of the vehicle.
Related Events
The search of a nearby home linked to D4vd occurred, though he did not own the property. Prior to his tour, he had reportedly stayed there. With the discovery of Rivas' body, D4vd canceled his remaining tour dates and postponed his album release. He is cooperating with authorities but has not been charged or named a suspect yet.
Legal Reactions
D4vd’s attorneys firmly denied any involvement in Rivas' murder, asserting that evidence would clear him of charges. They emphasized that no formal indictment or grand jury decision had yet occurred. Meanwhile, Rivas’ family set up a GoFundMe page for funeral expenses, raising over $24,000.
