Mindy Cohn, 59, Opens Up About Second Secret Cancer Battle
Mindy Cohn, known for her role in "Facts of Life," has revealed she is battling cancer for the second time. The 59-year-old actress shared the news on Instagram, along with a photo from her hospital bed.
Receiving Medical Care
Cohn credited Providence Saint John’s hospital staff in Santa Monica, California, for their support during her treatment. She praised the nurses and oncology department specifically.
Pushing Through Challenges
Cohn plans to recover for a few more weeks before embarking on her next adventure, saying she's ready to move onwards. Her representative could not be reached for comment.
Previous Battle with Cancer
The actress was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. She detailed how fatigue led her to discover the illness and underwent radiation, chemotherapy, and a double mastectomy over five years. Despite setbacks where the cancer would return, Cohn was eventually declared cancer-free.
Cohn's last post prior to this announcement was on March 17, featuring a selfie with fellow actress Melissa Peterman. She often shares moments with friends and castmates from "Palm Royale" on social media.
