Ariana's Secret Support for Frankie

Share Post

Frankie Grande is starring in the musical "Titanique" and credits his sister, Ariana Grande, for her support as he debuts his role as Victor Garber. The show opened at New York City's St. James Theatre on April 12.

Support from Ariana

Frankie shared that Ariana has been guiding him through his vocal preparation by sending tips and routines she uses. He also receives help from vocal coach Liz Caplan.

The Journey to "Titanique"

Both Frankie and Ariana began their careers on Broadway; Frankie was part of "Mamma Mia!" in 2007, while Ariana appeared in "13" in 2008. In "Titanique," a parody of the film "Titanic," Marla Mindelle plays Celine Dion, though Frankie boasts that Ariana does an impressive Dion impression.

An Unexpected Opportunity

Despite detours into reality TV with shows like "Big Brother," Frankie finally fulfills his dream of originating a Broadway role at 43. He thanks collaborators like Marla Mindelle for believing in him despite biases against reality TV background.

The cast of "Titanique" includes Jim Parsons, Melissa Barrera, Deborah Cox, John Riddle, and Layton Williams. The show runs at the St. James Theatre, and tickets are available online.
