Share Post

Comedian Andy Dick revealed that he discovered "holes" in his brain following a near-fatal drug overdose in December. He discussed the incident on a podcast, sharing details of his experience and subsequent medical findings.

Medical Findings After Overdose

During the podcast, Andy Dick confirmed that his heart had stopped after the overdose and that he was not breathing until he woke up in an ambulance. A brain scan later revealed five to seven lesions in his brain, attributed to years of substance abuse.

Dick's representative clarified that the brain damage originated from an attack he suffered seven years ago. They expressed confidence in his recovery, noting that he is currently healthy and sober.

Incident Details

The overdose occurred on December 9 while friends were filming Dick in Hollywood. A video showed him unresponsive on stairs as bystanders sought help. Narcan was administered, reviving him.

Dick voluntarily entered rehab following the incident but left within two months, describing this rehab stint as notably different than previous experiences due to the severity of the overdose.

Current Health Status

Despite recent health challenges, Dick has been seen in Los Angeles using a wheelchair but remains focused on maintaining sobriety.
