Jack Schlossberg Slams Ryan Murphy's 'Love Story' as 'Grotesque'
Jack Schlossberg has criticized Ryan Murphy's Hulu series "Love Story" for its portrayal of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. Schlossberg, a nephew of Kennedy, described the series as a “grotesque” depiction.
Criticism of the Series
In an interview with "CBS Sunday Morning" on March 1, Schlossberg said Murphy knows nothing about his family and is profiting from a misrepresentation of their lives. Previously, in July 2025, Schlossberg had also criticized Murphy on Instagram for capitalizing on his uncle's legacy without contributing to causes Kennedy supported.
Family Consultation and Representation
Schlossberg expressed disappointment that Murphy did not consult the Kennedy family before making the series. He shared personal memories of his uncle to counter Murphy's claims that he did not remember him.
Admiration vs. Exploitation
On social media, Schlossberg stated that while admiration for his uncle is welcome, exploiting his story for profit is unacceptable. He criticized the series for portraying familial relationships inaccurately and suggested it adds unnecessary complexity to real-life events.
