Matthew McConaughey's Wild Prank on Timothée Chalamet Behind 'Interstellar' Scenes
Timothée Chalamet revealed a prank his "Interstellar" co-star Matthew McConaughey played on him, leaving an unexpected surprise in his trailer. The incident occurred on the last day of filming in 2014.
The Unexpected Discovery
Chalamet recalled feeling emotional about leaving the set when he discovered a surprising mess in his trailer's bathroom. Initially, he suspected crew members, jokingly questioning them about who was responsible.
The Culprit Revealed
Unable to identify the prankster, Chalamet turned to director Christopher Nolan, who informed him that it was McConaughey who left the parting gift. Chalamet described McConaughey as having a "devilish grin" when admitting to the prank.
A Memorable Experience
Despite the unusual farewell, Chalamet expressed gratitude for his experience on set with McConaughey and appreciated the opportunity to debut alongside him at 17. He found working with such talented peers inspiring and formative for his career.
“That movie, to me, is really the origin point in seeing how you carried yourself on set and how seriously you took the work,” Chalamet noted to his former castmate during their February 24 interview with CNN.
