Prince William's State of Mind Unsettled at BAFTA After Andrew's Arrest

Share Post

Prince William has spoken about his mindset following the arrest of his uncle, ex-Prince Andrew, last Thursday. He was attending the BAFTA Awards 2026 with Kate Middleton and discussed the film "Hamnet."

William's Reaction

The Prince expressed that he hasn't watched the film "Hamnet" yet, as he currently isn't in a suitable mindset for such an emotional movie. He plans to watch it once he feels calmer.

Kate, on the other hand, shared that she saw the film and was moved to tears by its beauty and emotional depth. She remarked humorously about her puffy eyes after watching it.

The Arrest of Ex-Prince Andrew

Andrew was arrested on February 19, coinciding with his 66th birthday, for allegedly sharing confidential documents with Jeffrey Epstein. He was questioned for 11 hours before being released.

UK police are reportedly considering further investigations, possibly extending to Buckingham Palace to access Andrew’s office and electronic devices.

The Royal Family's Response

King Charles has publicly expressed concern over the allegations against his brother and supports a thorough investigation. Will and Kate also endorsed this statement, emphasizing their focus on victims of related incidents.

Previously, they had reacted to newly released files on Epstein, expressing deep concern over ongoing revelations and maintaining their thoughts are with the victims.
