Melania Trump recently celebrated the donation of her second inaugural gown to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. She marked the occasion by wearing an all-black ensemble that complemented the historic dress.

The Unveiling Ceremony

At the gown's unveiling, Trump wore a Bottega Veneta coat, knit turtleneck, leather leggings, and Christian Louboutin boots. The event highlighted the Hervé Pierre-designed gown, a strapless off-white silk crepe column with black silk gazar bands.

Significance of the Gown

"This is not just a dress; it represents over 50 years of education, experience, and wisdom," said Trump about the outfit. She praised its modern silhouette and chic design while acknowledging those who contributed to its creation.

Additional Details

A replica of a 1955 Harry Winston brooch styled as a choker during the inaugural ball will also be featured at the Smithsonian. Trump has previously donated her 2017 inaugural ball gown to the museum as well.
