Vanity Fair Halves Oscar Party Guest List, Leaving Some Surprised

Share Post

Vanity Fair has reduced its Oscar party guest list, excluding Trump administration officials. This change is part of a move to focus on the true A-list celebrities of Hollywood.

Changes to the Guest List

The Vanity Fair Oscar party was once the toughest invitation in Hollywood during the 1990s. However, over time, it became more about connections and fame than genuine stardom.

New editor Mark Guiducci has cut the guest list by around 50 percent. The aim is to differentiate between simply famous individuals and those truly deserving of a top spot in Hollywood.

Impact on Trump's Circle

An insider confirmed that no members of the Trump administration have been invited this year. This follows Guiducci's high-profile coverage of figures like Susie Wiles and other MAGA officials.

Melania Trump’s recent involvement in Hollywood with her documentary does not seem to influence their inclusion at this event.

Party Venue and Traditions

The party will also change location to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Press access will be limited, allowing only red carpet coverage without social media access inside.

The first Vanity Fair Oscar party in 1994 hosted just 100 guests, including iconic names from film and politics. The tradition continues but under stricter criteria for attendance.
