Christy Carlson Romano commented on her former "Even Stevens" co-star Shia LaBeouf following his recent arrest in New Orleans. In an Instagram post, she lip-synched to the phrase, "I'm not involved. You made that very clear."

Tension with Co-Star

Romano's comments arrived hours after LaBeouf's arrest during a Mardi Gras incident, where he was charged with two counts of simple battery. The two previously worked together on the Disney Channel show from 2000 to 2003, but Romano has shared that they were more colleagues than friends.

A Look Back at Their Relationship

In a 2021 YouTube video, Romano expressed regret over their lack of closeness and addressed feeling frustrated regarding their different career paths—LaBeouf became a Hollywood star while she pursued college. She acknowledged never knowing how he felt about her.

Shia LaBeouf's Recent Troubles

LaBeouf was detained after reportedly causing disturbances in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Witnesses described him as belligerent when entering establishments without a shirt or cash. After his release, LaBeouf resumed partying and seemed to mock the situation by dancing with his jail paperwork.

Reports also confirmed his recent split from wife Mia Goth, whom he married in 2016 and shares a daughter born in 2022.
