The View Host Responds After Epstein Files Mention Her Name

Share Post

Whoopi Goldberg addressed her name's mention in the Jeffrey Epstein files during an episode of The View. She clarified the context of the documents that mentioned her.

Goldberg Comments on Document Mention

On The View, Goldberg explained that her name appeared because a charity connected to Julian Lennon arranged travel for her, asking private plane owners if they could assist. She emphasized that this was merely logistical support.

“In the name of transparency, my name is in the files. Yes,” Goldberg stated, explaining that it was related to travel logistics and not a personal relationship with Epstein.

Avoiding Misinterpretation

Goldberg stressed the importance of not jumping to conclusions based on these documents. Her co-hosts pointed out that appearing in the files doesn’t necessarily imply involvement with Epstein.

“Anybody could be on this list,” noted Joy Behar, which Goldberg echoed by clarifying she had no personal connection to Epstein beyond the mentioned logistical arrangements.

Clarifying Public Misunderstanding

The conversation touched upon other notable names frequently mentioned in the files. Goldberg focused on dispelling rumors surrounding her own inclusion.

“I wasn’t his girlfriend, I wasn’t his friend,” Goldberg said firmly, aiming to correct public perception about her involvement or relationship with Epstein.
