A neighborhood dog played a vital role in helping police find a missing 3-year-old boy in Kentucky. The Louisville Metro Police Department shared a video of the search on February 9, crediting the dog for its assistance.

Officer Josh Thompson, part of the search team, mentioned the fear that comes with looking for a young child. The police deployed officers on foot and a drone to aid in the search for the toddler.

During the search, Officer Thompson was accompanied by a dog that started barking and walking alongside him. The dog's behavior led them to the missing boy in an SUV in a backyard.

Discovery of the Missing Boy

The missing boy was found unharmed in the vehicle and was later reunited with his family, thanks to the assistance of the police officers and the helpful dog.

Another Missing Child Found

In a separate incident, a 12-year-old boy named Ryan "RJ" Davis was found safe in Oklahoma days after his mother and stepdad were arrested on suspicion of child abuse.

Despite uncertainties about how the boy got into the vehicle or the duration of his disappearance, the police department praised the efforts of their officers and the unexpected hero, the neighborhood dog.
