Former Major League Baseball player Terrance Gore, known for his speed on the basepath, passed away at the age of 34 on Friday, February 6. He died due to complications following a routine surgical procedure, as confirmed by his wife, Britney Helms.

Survived by his wife and three children, Gore made his MLB debut with the Kansas City Royals in 2014 and played eight seasons in the league. He contributed to the Royals' 2015 World Series win and later won another title in 2021 with the Atlanta Braves. Throughout his career, he stole 43 bases and was only caught nine times.

Gore spent most of his career with the Royals but also played for other teams like the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, Braves, and New York Mets. He had a total of 367 stolen bases in his professional career, including his time in the Minor Leagues.

The Omaha Chasers, a Triple-A Minor League affiliate of the Royals, paid tribute to Gore, highlighting his speed, kindness, and dedication. Former teammates like Eric Hosmer and Royals broadcaster Joel Goldberg expressed their sorrow over Gore's passing on social media.
