Sheriff Stuns: Nancy Guthrie Declared 'Alive' with No Further Leads
Today, Savannah Guthrie's mother, Nancy Guthrie, has been missing for three days. The Pima County Sheriff's Department remains hopeful that she is still alive.
Sheriff Chris Nanos stated in an interview with NBC's Liz Kreutz on Wednesday, February 4, that they believe Nancy is still present and alive, emphasizing their determination to find her.
Reports suggesting Guthrie's son-in-law, Tomasso Cioni, as a suspect were addressed by Nanos, clarifying that no suspects or persons of interest have been identified. They continue to interview individuals who may have interacted with Nancy.
The Sheriff's Department, in collaboration with the FBI, is diligently pursuing all leads to locate Nancy Guthrie. Nanos stressed the importance of information received, which is being shared with the FBI and other relevant authorities.
Nancy Guthrie vanished from her residence near Tucson, Arizona, after her daughter dropped her off post a family dinner. She was reported missing the next day around noon when her absence was noticed by friends at church.
Sheriff Nanos previously indicated that they suspect Nancy was taken from her home against her will and may have suffered harm during the incident.
