Louisiana Supreme Court rejects appeal, upholds life sentence for C-Murder, keeping him in prison.

The Louisiana Supreme Court declined to review Corey Miller's second-degree murder conviction, also known as C-Murder, this week, marking the third time the court has turned away from the case.

Miller, a former No Limit Records star, is serving a life sentence for the 2002 shooting death of 16-year-old Steve Thomas in a nightclub brawl in Harvey, Louisiana.

Despite Miller's claims of innocence and witness recantations in 2018 alleging pressure from investigators, the court ruled that he failed to present new evidence meeting the criteria for another post-conviction review.

His legal team's efforts for a new trial have been repeatedly rejected by the court, with previous appeals denied in 2011 and 2013, leading to the current situation where Miller remains incarcerated.

With limited options for further legal recourse and a unanimous decision by the state's highest court, it appears that Miller's prospects for release are increasingly slim.
