Susan Lucci, known for her role as Erica Kane on All My Children, has avoided numerous death-defying situations both on and off-screen during her over 40-year tenure on the soap opera.

Describing Erica as "fabulously flawed," Susan shares a frightening experience she recently had, similar to her character's escapades, where she managed to come out relatively unscathed, emphasizing her luck in the situation.

Susan Lucci Opens Up About Heart Health

The Daytime Emmy Award-winning actress reveals her first encounter with a heart issue on SiriusXM's LIFT, recalling a moment when she faced a significant calcium blockage in her main artery, with 90% blockage, and 75% in an adjacent artery.

Lucci expresses gratitude for not being alone during the incident, as doctors believe that if she had been, she might have dismissed the symptoms and lay down, risking not waking up. She refers to the experience as narrowly avoiding the "widow maker."

In her newly released memoir, Lucci delves into various topics, including the mentioned heart scare, and hints at a possible reboot of All My Children, which went off the air in 2013, stirring speculation among fans.

Besides her dramatic on-screen and off-screen experiences, Susan Lucci has garnered attention for her numerous Daytime Emmy nominations, clinching the award only once in 1999 out of 21 nominations during the show's duration. Her book, La Lucci, is currently available in stores.
