Germany's Bold Move: The End of the 8-Hour Workday?

Ödenen paraların bugünkü karşılığı da 51 milyar 37 milyon doları aştı, toplam ödeme 59.1 milyar doların üzerinde gerçekleşti.O parayla barınma krizi çözülürdüHalkın kaynaklarından KKM hesaplarına para aktarılmak zorunda kalınmasaydı 16 milyon emeklinin her birine 181 bin 250’şer lira nakit destek verilebilirdi.

Jodie Sweetin Opens Up About Her 'Up and Down' Bond with Candace Cameron Bure New

Jodie Sweetin Opens Up About Her 'Up and Down' Bond with Candace Cameron Bure

Jodie Sweetin is opening up about where she stands with former Full House costar Candace Cameron Bure these days. “In the same way that DJ and Steph are opposite personalities, so are Candace and I,” Sweetin, 44, told She Knows in a recent interview. The actress spent eight years of her childhood working along Cameron Bure, who played older sister D.J. Tanner to Sweetin’s younger Stephanie Tanner on the classic ABC sitcom. In her interview, Sweetin suggested that the sisterly bond she once shared with Cameron Bure, 50, onscreen has evolved offscreen after they became adults. “It’s always been a sisterly thing between us. Just like any family, it’s up and down,” she acknowledged. Us has reached out to Cameron Bure's representatives for comment. The former costars have continued to publicly support each other from time to time since filming on the Netflix spinoff Fuller House wrapped in 2020, including Cameron Bure attending Sweetin’s wedding to husband Mescal Wasilewski in August 2022. (Sweetin was previously married to Shaun Holguin from 2002 to 2006, Cody Herpin from 2007 to 2010 and Morty Coyle from 2012 to 2016.) However, Full House fans have also noticed that the onscreen sisters have come out publicly on different sides of hot-button topics, including the debate over the 2024 controversial Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony in Paris. (Olympics organizers were criticized by Christian conservatives, including Cameron Bure, because they felt it was disrespectful to recreate the Last Supper with drag queens during the ceremony. Olympics organizers later clarified that the scene in question was actually an interpretation of the feast of Dionysus from Greek mythology, not the Last Supper.) In December 2025, Sweetin described Cameron Bure as “the closest thing” she had to a sister, stressing that she had “zero problem” with her costar’s devout religious faith. “I have no problem with religion if it brings you peace and happiness, not necessarily saying that her brand of religion is not necessarily peace and happiness. I don’t really know,” she told the “The Moment” podcast. “I do know that I don’t think you can truly love people if you don’t respect them.” Sweetin has shown her willingness to take public stances on political topics, whereas she said Cameron Bure has resisted addressing “the political side as much,” though it’s unclear if that plays any role in their current relationship dynamic. “[Candace wanted to] keep that out of her brand or whatever, and I just don’t really care about my brand,” Sweetin noted. “If there’s people who don’t like what I’m saying or are like, ‘I like you as Stephanie but I don’t like you as you.’ It’s, like, ‘Great, watch Full House and don’t follow me online.’ It’s OK, you don’t have to like me, but I try not to let other people’s perceptions of who I should be … put up any barriers of what I want to be. Candace and I are very different in that regard.” Sweetin echoed those comments in February when she told the “Only Child With Bob the Drag Queen” podcast that the two were on “very opposite sides of things.” “I’m just, kind of, a loud outspoken bitch about a lot of things, and that’s not going to stop me and if that ain’t you, that ain’t you,” she declared.

Mark Zuckerberg's Secret Plan to Slash 60% of Meta Jobs Unravels New

Mark Zuckerberg's Secret Plan to Slash 60% of Meta Jobs Unravels

Mark Zuckerberg was ready to pull the plug — then a revolt stopped him in his tracks.New details have surfaced of those plans involving tech giant Meta Platforms, which owns Facebook and Instagram, revealing the ambitious goal to use artificial intelligence to take over the role of many staffers.Zuckerberg and top executives hatched a plan, codenamed Project OT (Organization Transformation), that envisioned AI reshaping the company’s workforce radically.A view of the Meta (Facebook) headquarters on Friday, May 15, 2026, in Menlo Park, California. Anadolu via Getty ImagesUnder that plan, small, “talent-dense” groups of human staffers would oversee virtual workers, according to internal documents seen by Reuters. Teams that consisted of 10-20 people would be dramatically reduced to 3-5 people armed with AI tools. To execute the plan, executives had planned slashing as much as 60% of many teams on the workforce that could result in huge layoffs. A first purge would happen in May and a second in November, planning documents revealed. In addition, open job positions would be closed and poor performers would be targeted. Meta launched a human resources tool to identify “irreplacable talent,” or extremely talented people who could do the work of an entire team with AI.But that plan didn’t go as expected. A layoff happened in May but the November one was called off.Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg arrives outside court to take the stand at trial in Los Angeles, California, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. REUTERSEmployees reportedly revolted after news came out about impending layoffs. One lawsuit filed by more than two dozen employees accused the company of using an internal AI platform to select targets, disproportionately targeting those with disabilities.Meta pursued its Project OT. Olga – stock.adobe.comNews that Meta was requiring tracking software on employee devices to teach AI agents further infuriated workers who feared they were being replaced. Many employees left messages on internal platforms expressing anger and some mocking executives.Meta’s internal measure of employee sentiment dropped from 74% favorable to 55% favorable, according to a company survey. There were also technical concerns that Project OT may not go as envisioned. Technical and security incidents, such as service disruptions and possible data leaks, surged due to overreliance on unchecked AI agents, Reuters reported.Questions about the AI’s productivity also surfaced, according to internal posts.Facebook corporate headquarters is seen in Menlo Park, California, on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022. Facebook owner Meta announced it will lay off more than 11,000 of its staff. AFP via Getty ImagesAll that led Zuckerberg to change course and his tone. He made an appearance at a company town hall in July and made some concessions. AI agent technology, the CEO said, had not “accelerated” as quickly as he had anticipated. The company is currently on a blitz to emphasize Meta as people-centric.“We are the only major company focusing on empowering people and putting the power of this new technology in billions of people’s hands across all our products – rather than primarily focusing on automating work,” he said in an internal post.Meta confirmed Project OT existed in a statement to Reuters but claimed it never intended to layoff 60% of its workforce.“As part of our company restructuring earlier this year, we asked some teams to conduct a scenario planning exercise looking at the potential impact of redeployments, open role closures and cuts,” Meta said.“This ultimately resulted in moving thousands of employees to do priority work on several newly-established teams, as has been publicly reported. Ultimately, we didn’t move forward with every scenario from the exercise – and it was never assumed we would.”Download The California Post App, follow us on social, and subscribe to our newsletters California Post News: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, WhatsApp, LinkedInCalifornia Post Sports Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, XCalifornia Post Opinion California Post Newsletters: Sign up here!California Post App: Download here!Home delivery: Sign up here!Page Six Hollywood: Sign up here!

Manifest Fans Rejoice: New Spinoff 'Arrivals' Announced by Netflix New

Manifest Fans Rejoice: New Spinoff 'Arrivals' Announced by Netflix

The world of Manifest is expanding nearly four years after the series’ shocking cancellation. Netflix announced on Friday, August 28 — a.k.a. 8/28 day — that the streamer is currently developing Arrivals: A New Manifest Mystery with a new cast of characters and story lines. “When the idea for Manifest first crash-landed in my head, I never imagined where it would lead,” showrunner Jeff Rake said in a statement. “What started as a wild concept became something much bigger, a story that connected with millions of people around the globe. And thanks to Netflix, we were able to finish the journey and give those fans the ending they deserved.” He continued, “But, the world of Manifest has more stories to tell. To now bring fans a brand-new mystery from that world is quite simply beyond my wildest dreams.” Rake, 60, created Manifest, which ran for four seasons from 2018 to 2023 and starred Josh Dallas and Melissa Roxburgh. On the show, Dallas, 47, and Roxburgh, 33, played siblings who were aboard a commercial flight, No. 828, home to New York City that mystically didn’t land for five years. Upon their return, the passengers discovered they had interconnected spiritual “callings.” Manifest aired its first three seasons on NBC, which ultimately canceled the program amid a major plot cliffhanger. Netflix subsequently swooped in, renewing the drama for a fourth and final season. While all of the Manifest story arcs wrapped up by the finale, Arrivals will feature a new crop of passengers. “When a mysterious plane crash-lands in Denver, the passengers emerge with no memory of who they are, where they came from or why they’re here,” a logline reads. “A young social worker and a novice Homeland Security agent team up with the new arrivals in an attempt to stop a humanity-ending catastrophe, discovering along the way that they are all part of the very puzzle they’re trying to solve.” Rake cocreated Arrivals with Manifest producer Margaret Easley and Laura Putney. “Laura Putney and Margaret Easley have been my trusted colleagues for over a decade. Their contribution to the Manifest mothership cannot be overstated,” Rake continued in his statement. “It was a no-brainer to make them my partners on this spinoff. Together, we’ve set out to create something bold, surprising, deeply human and full of the kind of big ideas that spark conversations long after the credits roll. We can’t wait for a whole new audience — and longtime Manifest fans — to discover Arrivals.” Further details about Arrivals, including the cast and premiere date, have yet to be announced.

BACKGRIDLast month, she went bold in a fringed and patchwork suede vintage Thierry Mugler set and, earlier this summer, she wore yet another archival look, this time a gilded gold gown 2007 Alexander McQueen gown that was previously worn by Cameron Diaz. And her contemporary looks have been just as head-turning, too. In May, she went with a two-piece Pucci number covered in red, orange and black paillettes to celebrate George’s 65th birthday. With fall coming quickly, we’ll be sad to see Amal’s summer wardrobe packed away. Nashville to Honor Dolly Parton with Airport Renaming: What You Need to Know

Plans to rename Nashville International Airport in honor of the late Dolly Parton are officially moving forward. “Dolly Parton’s extraordinary life is forever woven into the fabric of our state,” Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee announced on Friday, August 28. “From her rural mountain home in East Tennessee to global stages, Dolly carried the Volunteer Spirit with her. At a place where Tennessee welcomes the world, it is fitting that Nashville International Airport would bear the name of our state’s favorite daughter and greet travelers with the enduring legacy of Dolly’s music, generosity, faith, and kindness.” The governor’s office confirmed that Parton’s family is “open to continuing the conversation” after speaking to his staff this week. Parton’s team expressed excitement that a potential renaming of Nashville International Airport could unite people of all backgrounds — much like the country music legend’s work. The Metro Nashville Airport Authority plans to consider Gov. Lee’s proposal during its next meeting on Thursday, September 17. “[Nashville International Airport, known as BNA] is the front door to Music City, and with that comes a responsibility to reflect the very best of who we are as a community,” Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, said in a statement. “Dolly’s remarkable legacy reminds us that what makes Nashville special is our ability to welcome people from every walk of life. She understood that dignity, kindness and opportunity should never be defined by where you come from or your socioeconomic status.” Kreulen continued, “At BNA, we share that commitment. Whether you are boarding a private aircraft or taking your first flight, you deserve to be welcomed, respected and served with the same level of care. That spirit is what defines BNA and it is a fitting reflection of the values Dolly shared with Tennessee and the world.” Parton’s family announced on Tuesday, August 25, that she’d died at age 80 following a brief battle with cancer. Her death renewed interest in a January 2025 Change.org petition that called for Nashville International Airport to be rechristened as Dolly Parton International Airport. More than 155,000 people have signed the petition at the time of publication. “Since her passing, tens of thousands of additional supporters have visited and signed this petition,” petition organizers Lydia Popovich and Dan Dion wrote on Tuesday. “The outpouring of support has reinvigorated our mission — to rename the Nashville International Airport to Dolly Parton International Airport. A key decision maker, has responded to this petition; Tennessee State Senator Todd Warner has pledged to introduce legislation to make this change happen. We are so very grateful for his support and for ALL of the support coming in.” They added, “Dolly deserves to be remembered and celebrated. What a wonderful way to share her light and magic across Tennessee and the world.” Nashville City Councillor Russ Bradford also expressed support for the airport renaming, crediting Parton for helping “define what this city means to the rest of the world.” “I want to be clear about what this resolution does and doesn’t do: it’s a statement of support from Metro Council, urging MNAA [Metro Nashville Airport Authority] to take up the idea,” Bradford clarified. “The final decision on any name change rests with the Airport Authority, not with Council. I hope that this resolution sends a strong signal of how much our community would welcome this change, and that MNAA will give it serious consideration.” Tennessee is also the home of Parton’s 168-acre theme park Dollywood, which she opened in Pigeon Forge in 1986 to promote tourism to the Smoky Mountains and boost the local economy. (Parton was born in nearby Pittman Center, Tennessee.) In the wake of Parton’s death, Dollywood executives decided to keep the park open as a place for fans to celebrate the singer’s iconic life and legacy. “In her spirit, Dollywood will be open Wednesday as Dolly wanted, always reminding everyone with her signature sparkle — ‘the show must go on,’” a statement from Dollywood read. “Together, we honor her by carrying forward her message of love, perseverance, and hope. Those wishing to give in honor of Dolly may consider making a gift to the organization she was so deeply passionate about, Dolly Parton’s @imaginationlibrary.”
