Carrot Top's Recovery: The Shocking Detail Everyone's Talking About

Carrot Top is awake and breathing on his own following an alleged suicide attempt. The comedian’s (real name Scott Thompson) representative, Jami Schlicher, told Page Six, “Scott remains hospitalized and under close medical care. He is now awake, breathing on his own and continuing to improve, surrounded by his family and those closest to him. “Humor has always been such an important part of who Scott is and how he connects with people, and that remains true today as he shares moments of humor with the medical staff caring for him,” she continued. GC ImagesThe comedian (real name Scott Thompson) is being cared for in the hospital and “continuing to improve,” per his rep. carrot top/ instagram“Many messages from fans have been shared with Scott, including stories from people about how his comedy helped them through difficult periods in their own lives. Hearing those stories and feeling that support has meant a great deal to him during his recovery,” Schlicher noted. “Scott and his family remain deeply grateful for the extraordinary kindness and continue to ask that his privacy be respected.”Carrot Top, 61, attempted suicide Friday in the Las Vegas area before being rushed to a local hospital, sources told TMZ.Schlicher confirmed the comedian’s hospitalization to Page Six at the time, but did not address the circumstances that led to it.Thompson was being extorted over a sex tape prior to the reported suicide attempt Friday, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.His representative said that “messages from fans” talking about how his comedy helped them through hard times mean “a great deal” to the comedian right now. MediaPunch / Shutterstock“Scott and his family remain deeply grateful for the extraordinary kindness.” Getty ImagesRonnie Bitman, the comedian’s attorney, claimed in a Sept. 3 filing in Broward County, Florida, that musician Brian Evans — a previous opening performer for Thompson’s long-running show at Las Vegas’ Luxor Hotel and Casino — threatened to leak an X-rated video of his client if he wasn’t paid.“Evans demands immediate payment of significant sums and states that, absent immediate payment, a sexually explicit recording of Thompson will be filed in the public court file so that it may be obtained and disseminated by the press and other parties,” Bitman wrote, in part. The court filing included an email from Evans to Bitman in which he requested $500,000 “in immediately available funds, in exchange for resolution of all claims against” Thompson or else he’d release the video, which was on a USB drive, in a public docket. In the email, Evans writes, “It is not a threat. I am not offering to create coverage, stop coverage, or trade silence for money. I cannot control what outlets write after a public motion is filed. The only thing that stops coverage is if we both stop filing anything.”“I am telling you … that I would rather resolve the claims against your client [Thompson] than continue this motion practice,” Evans added.Evans’ email ended with a note that, should Bitman not meet his deadline, “it is not an offer your client will ever see again — not even remotely close.”Carrot Top, 61, attempted suicide Friday in the Las Vegas area before being rushed to a local hospital. Getty ImagesHis schedule at Las Vegas’ Luxor, where he’s been performing since 2005, remains up in the air at the moment. Brian Prahl /Nicole / SplashNews.comIn a statement to Page Six, Evans said the aforementioned email was “intended to be confidential” and said he “never threatened — ever — to post any video anywhere in exchange for a settlement.”Evans claimed the video “was deleted a long time ago” in accordance with a prior settlement and also told Page Six that he was sorry Thompson felt compelled to harm himself. In a statement to Page Six, Thompson’s representative Schlicher noted that Evans has been declared a “vexatious litigant,” with a judge describing his court filings as “serial” and “spurious.”Thompson’s weekend prop-comedy shows at the Luxor were canceled, seemingly leaving the residency — which has been running since 2005 — up in the air.Reps for the Luxor Hotel and Casino did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. If you or someone you know is affected by any of the issues raised in this story, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) or text Crisis Text Line at 741741. Keely Hodgkinson's Bold Speed Suit Choice Sparks Buzz at ATHLOS London New

Keely Hodgkinson's Bold Speed Suit Choice Sparks Buzz at ATHLOS London

Keely Hodgkinson put a fashionable and “sexy” spin on running kits on Friday all while sticking to what makes her feel best on the track. The 24-year-old won the 800m at the all-female Athlos event in London and did so in an all-black, hooded, backless and longsleeved Nike outfit that stuck to her one non-negotiable despite what aerodynamics would advise.“The science was like technically with the air drag you’re slower with your hair out, but I was like, ‘that’s a non-negotiable. My hair is staying out,'” Hodgkinson said about the ponytail cutout feature in her kit. “I’m very much ‘look good, feel good’ [and that] mental and physical balance.”The English distance runner looked almost Catwoman-like while taking a commanding lead in the race. Once across the finish line, Hodgkinson took off her sunglasses and pulled back her hood.Keely Hodgkinson of Team Great Britain looks on after victory in the 800 Metres during ATHLOS London 2026 at StoneX Stadium in Barnet, England, Friday, September 18, 2026. Getty Images“I wanted to be comfortable but I wanted to feel a little bit sexy, the back’s open and that makes it feel really cool,” Hodgkinson said. “It feels like I’m wearing nothing to be honest. I trained in it in South Africa in 37-degree heat and it was OK.”The new look was a test for Hodgkinson, who was asked if more runners would be wearing the style by the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.  “We might know some things that people don’t,” she said.Keely Hodgkinson of Team Great Britain looks on before the 800 Metres during ATHLOS London 2026 at StoneX Stadium on Friday, September 18, 2026, in Barnet, England. Like Cathy Freeman and some other athletes from a while ago did something like this, and this is the updated new version, with the new technology,” she went on. “[Freeman] was before I was born, but I have seen the race and photos. It was really cool to draw inspiration from the past and make it your own as well. The style was a big thing for me.”Hodgkinson took home $65,000 from the $1.057 million prize pot after crossing the line in one minute 56.40 seconds. She admitted she was “nervous” while walking out as pyrotechnic plumes and strobe lights were going off as a DJ played music. Yet she said in the end it was “really fun” and the race will be “something I’ll remember forever.”Keely Hodgkinson of Team Great Britain poses for a photo after victory in the 800 Metres during ATHLOS London 2026 at StoneX Stadium, Friday, September 18, 2026, in Barnet, England. It was a really fun process with the Nike innovation team,” Hodgkinson added. “I think it’s a mixture of fashion, speed and science all coming together, for maybe the future of athletics potentially.“It was a real honour for them to choose me to put this out first. We weren’t sure when we were going to wear it, but in hindsight an all-women’s event, which is all about the glitz and glamour and putting eyes on women, a bit of a moment was the perfect way to finish the season. So it’s really exciting.”Keely Hodgkinson of Team Great Britain celebrates with the Tiffany & Co crown after victory in the 800 Metres during ATHLOS London 2026 at StoneX Stadium in Barnet, England, Friday, Sept. 18, 2026. She also was Britain’s youngest medalist in more than 50 years.

The Surprising Exemptions If Conscription Returns: Who Would Be Spared? New

The Surprising Exemptions If Conscription Returns: Who Would Be Spared?

Updated 16:51 20 Sep 2026 GMT+1Published 08:30 21 Mar 2025 GMTGeopolitical tensions are at a worryingly high levelAlthough it's often over-sensationalised, the threat of a third world war has perhaps never been closer. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been causing issues for years and shows no signs of stopping, despite the best efforts of president Donald Trump who met with Vladimir Putin and promised a ceasefire was on its way. It's perhaps no surprise that the US leader has been at the forefront of one of the biggest other wars right now, between the US and Iran, which has caused huge issues across the globe due to Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, while Trump has threatened to destroy the Middle Eastern country due to their alleged access to nuclear weapons. While we in the UK have enough problems on our plate, the previous prime minister Keir Starmer promised that we wouldn't be getting involved, but that hasn't stopped plenty of members of the general public being worried about a potential call-up to the military should any global conflict break out. AdvertSo, very much noting the UK is not looking to go to war anytime soon, there’s a number of ways you could avoid being conscripted if it ever actually came up.Conscription in the UKOf course, we’ve not seen a general mobilisation of troops on such a scale since World War II, over 80 years ago.And thankfully, Cabinet Office minister Pat McFadden has ruled out conscription here to ready the UK for a potential war, but it may be that ‘decisions are needed in the future that respond to a new reality.'He said on Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips: “We are not considering conscription, but of course we have announced a major increase in defence expenditure."We do have to recognise that the world has changed. The phrase 'step up' is used a lot. Europe does have to step up in terms of its own defence."President Trump isn't actually the first president to say that, but he said it more loudly and with more force than his predecessors - so, I think we have got to recognise that moment."But there are people calling for conscription as Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs urged European countries to follow his lead and ‘absolutely’ introduce conscription.I know what you're thinking: 'No thank you.' (Getty Stock)Who could be exemptSo, let’s say everything suddenly changes and conscription is introduced, it would be just like the WW2 call up when exemptions were made.Back then, things like health, age, gender and profession came into play with who could and couldn’t be called up to serve. And it’s fair to say it’s likely a lot of those will be similar as those working in essential industries would be exempt. When we last had a situation like that, those key jobs included the likes of farmers, engineers, medical professionals, bakers and coal miners. The National Service Act in 1939 was tweaked during the war, and ended up with men between the ages of 18 and 51 having to be called up (it was originally 18 to 41).Exemptions in that also included those who were medically unfit to fight. The UK seems unlikely to introduce it but that doesn't mean it's not unnerving. (Getty Stock)There’s currently quite a number of conditions that prevent a person from joining the British Armed Forces, such as hearing and vision problems.Plus, those with bone or joint problems like chronic knee injuries, shoulder problems and hypermobility syndrome are also exempt from serving.People can also be stopped from enlisting if they have neurological conditions, cardiovascular issues, severe skin conditions or psychiatric problems.British women weren’t allowed to fight last time we were at war but since 2018, they’ve been able to serve in all combat roles in the military. So, it’s pretty likely women could be drafted at the same rate as men if conscription is ever introduced. But before you start panicking and applying for essential jobs, the Prime Minister has solidified that there is ‘no intention’ of introducing conscription.“The British military has a proud tradition of being a voluntary force. There are no plans to change that,” a spokesperson said.Featured Image Credit: Leon Neal/Getty ImagesTopics: Ukraine, Russia, UK News, Army

Foto: Miljana Isailović/Nova.rs autor: 20. sep. Bill Clinton Surprises Trump: A Warning That Shakes Global Politics New

Bill Clinton Surprises Trump: A Warning That Shakes Global Politics

Ed Sheeran's Emotional Breakdown Amid Macklemore Tour Controversy New

Ed Sheeran's Emotional Breakdown Amid Macklemore Tour Controversy

Ed Sheeran said he’s lost family and close friends after igniting controversy due to Macklemore getting kicked off his Loop Tour over the rapper’s pro-Palestine comments. The devastated musician broke down in tears and sat cross-legged onstage at one point during his concert at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia Saturday night, reflecting on the week in which all his opening acts quit — including his own backing band — in solidarity with Macklemore.“In these situations you really find out who your friends are. It’s been a weird week,” he told the crowd in video captured by a fan. “It happened very quickly. At the same time, I had so many people telling me to cancel this tour and so many people I’ve known for years and years and years they’re kind of backing away.”“In the back of my mind, I saw the ticket sales for this gig and I didn’t see cancellations, I saw people buying tickets for this gig,” he continued as the crowd started to cheer. “Everyone’s telling me to cancel and I’m feeling all of my friends and family and people I know abandon me.”Ed Sheeran emotionally said during his Sept. 19 show at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia that he felt his friends and family abandoned him after the Macklemore “Free Palestine” controversy. / SplashNews.comThe singer broke down in tears onstage. / SplashNews.comBut the “Thinking Out Loud” singer said he was performing for his fans.“I look at the end of the week and I see 50,000 people who haven’t abandoned me,” he noted. “People will say what they want, but I am doing this for you. I love you. I love this.”He called the concert the best show of his life, but called the past week one of the worst weeks he’d experienced. He later cried as he said that he felt so much love from the audience, after he was initially worried about his safety and that people would boo him.“The world is a scary place right now, America is a scary place right now,” he said, before pointing to the audience and noting, “This gives hope.”He told the audience, “In these situations you really find out who your friends are.” / SplashNews.comHe also shared, “Everyone’s telling me to cancel and I’m feeling all of my friends and family and people I know abandon me.” / SplashNews.comAhead of the show, Sheeran, 35, took drastic security measures because he feared people would throw things at him onstage.“At this point in the show, to be honest, I usually go out on the B stage,” he said,“I apologize that today is not the usual Loop show,” he continued. “I took the B stage out because was afraid of what might happen if I stood in the middle. And I will admit that.”Although the Grammy-winner didn’t name the family who abandoned him, his cousin Jethro Sheeran publicly blasted him online Thursday. But Sheeran said he was performing for all of his fans who made the effort to come see him. / SplashNews.comThe Grammy-winner did take extra security measures at the concert, admitting he removed a stage that would put him in the middle of the crowd because he was afraid people were going to throw things at him. via REUTERS“Finally it’s all coming out! I’m ashamed of my cousin Ed he’s done. Finally the world and all his fans see through him. He’s not a good person, I don’t like his music so I can’t say he’s even a good artist,” Jethro posted on Instagram. He also wrote, “He’s honestly a selfish individual with malicious, cunning ways… I’m his first blood cousin and he screwed me over, made fun of my mental health and mental health in general.”Despite Macklemore previously saying that Ed was pressured into dropping him from his tour by stadium owners, Jethro said he believes Ed made the decision himself, calling his cousin “shady” and a “coward.”“In my opinion he’s a bad human. Just my opinion from my experiences,” he wrote. There were pro-Palestinian protestors demonstrating outside of the venue Saturday, as seen above. Kevin Mazur/WireImage for MTVMeanwhile, Macklemore, 43, has donated all the money he says he made from the Loop tour before getting dropped — $1 million — to Palestinian relief efforts. He called on Robert Kraft, the billionaire owner of the New England Patriots and Kraft Group, to match his donation.Kraft, who owns Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachasetts, and was one of the stadium owners who refused to let the “Thrift Shop” rapper perform after his “Free Palestine” speech, donated $2 million after he said Sheeran asked him to. Tragic Citi Bike Photo of NYC Teen Resurfaces After Fatal Accident

The tragic teen killed by a truck while riding a Citi Bike on the Lower East Side was a twin who loved to cycle, according to a family pal —  as an eerie previous photo of the victim on one of the two-wheelers surfaced.Daria Serkov, 15, was on a Citi Bike with a 13-year-old friend around 9 p.m. Friday when she was fatally struck by the excavation vehicle on 14th Street in Manhattan, police said.“We want to help support the family, including Daria’s twin sister Greta, in any way we can during this time,” family friend Chris Janssen wrote on gofundme.com.Police are seen at the scene where a bicyclist on a Citi Bike was critically injured after being struck by a truck on First Avenue at East 14th Street in New York. Donald Trump's Mysterious Bulge Sparks Wild Theories and White House Backlash New

Donald Trump's Mysterious Bulge Sparks Wild Theories and White House Backlash

Published 12:46 20 Sep 2026 GMT+1White House spokesman's furious response has only added more fuel to the conspiracy theoriesDonald Trump has been spotted with the same mysterious bulge under the back of his suit for at least the third time in recent months, and the White House isn't happy about the attention it's getting. The latest sighting came on Wednesday, when the 80-year-old president travelled to North Carolina to campaign for Republican Senate nominee Michael Whatley. Footage shared on Instagram by White House aide Margo Martin, who Trump has previously called 'the most beautiful photographer in the world,' captured reporters outside Air Force One - and, once again, an odd shape protruding from beneath his suit jacket. It's not the first time the bulge has caught people's attention. The shape was first noticed during a 60 Minutes interview back in April, before turning up again last month in footage from a Long Island rally, shared by former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. That clip showed Trump turning to greet the crowd as he left the stage, giving cameras a clear look at the box-like outline from behind. What is Donald Trump's bulge?Nobody outside the president's team actually knows, and that's exactly what's kept the theories alive. Social media users have speculated about everything from a catheter to a back brace, an exoskeleton, or even equipment linked to heart failure. None of these theories have been confirmed, and the White House has dismissed them outright.AdvertTrump was seen with bruising on his hands last year. (Photo by Harun Ozalp/Anadolu via Getty Images)The renewed scrutiny comes against the backdrop of broader questions about Trump's health since he returned to office last year. He's been photographed with bruising on his hands and swelling around his ankles, and has occasionally appeared to drag his right leg or tap it repeatedly while walking. Administration officials maintain that the president is in what they've described as 'excellent' health. When the Daily Beast put the bulge question to the White House directly, spokesman Davis Ingle didn't hold back.He told the outlet: "Only the glue-sniffing degenerates at the failing Daily Beast would obsessively push baseless conspiracy theories about President Trump, and that's because they suffer from a severe, crippling disease known as Trump Derangement Syndrome that has completely rotted their peanut-sized brains."White House spokesman Davis Ingle dismissed the speculation when contacted by the Daily Beast. (Jim Lo Scalzo/EPA/Bloomberg via Getty Images)Ingle went further, using the moment to draw a comparison with the previous administration. "President Trump's sharpness, unmatched energy, relentless work ethic, and historic accessibility stand in stark contrast to what we saw during the last administration when Democrats and the legacy media intentionally covered up Joe Biden's serious mental and physical decline from the American people," he said. The bulge controversy is just the latest headline surrounding Trump's inner circle this week.Martin's involvement comes days after another aide close to the president was accused of being a 'flunkie' after reportedly shoving people out of Trump's path during a separate incident involving Natalie Harp.Featured Image Credit: Anna Moneymaker/Getty ImagesTopics: Donald Trump, US News

Šta zaista stoji iza odgovora doktora Srdanovića na Vučićev poziv? New

Šta zaista stoji iza odgovora doktora Srdanovića na Vučićev poziv?

Dr Ilija Srdanović Foto: Spasa Dakic / Sipa Press / Profimedia autor: 20. sep. Ed Sheeran's Bold Move at Philadelphia Concert Raises Eyebrows New

Ed Sheeran's Bold Move at Philadelphia Concert Raises Eyebrows

Ed Sheeran removed the B stage from his Philadelphia concert Saturday night because he was “afraid of what might happen.”In the singer’s first Loop Tour show since dropping Macklemore as an opening act over the rapper’s “Free Palestine” comments — and losing the rest of his openers as a result — Sheeran admitted he was fearful of “things [being] thrown at” him onstage.“At this point in the show, to be honest, I usually go out on the B stage,” Sheeran, 35, explained to the audience at Lincoln Financial Field in a moment captured by a fan and shared via X over the weekend.Ed Sheeran did not have a B stage at his Loop Tour show Saturday. via REUTERSThe Grammy winner was afraid of objects being thrown at him by “angry” audience members. / SplashNews.com“I’m gonna be totally honest with you, I didn’t know what this audience would be like,” the Grammy winner noted. “I didn’t know if I would have things thrown at me. I didn’t know if people would be angry at me.”Smiling and shrugging, Sheeran added, “I apologize that today is not the usual Loop show. I took the B stage out because was afraid of what might happen if I stood in the middle. And I will admit that.”Sheeran’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. The songwriter’s tour kicked off in January — and Saturday’s show featured another notable difference, in addition to the missing B stage.“I apologize that today is not the usual Loop show,” he said. / SplashNews.comSaturday marked Sheeran’s first performance since Macklemore (pictured with the singer at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards) was cut from his tour over saying “Free Palestine” comments onstage. Kevin Mazur/WireImage for MTVSheeran pushed back his concert start time to 8 p.m. as he did not have any opening acts.In addition to Macklemore, 43, being cut last week over “Free Palestine” comments, Sheeran’s backing band subsequently quit in solidarity along with openers Fikas, Lukas Graham and Aaron Rowe.At the start of Saturday’s show, Sheeran addressed the drama onstage and broke down in tears.“This is not usually how I would open the show, but before I play some songs tonight, I hope it’s OK if I say a few words about this last week,” the “A Team” hitmaker said. “I’m used to my music being criticized … but this week, the criticism was about something much more important.”Sheeran’s backing band and three other opening acts dropped out in solidarity with Macklemore (seen above with the singer at a party). SplashNews.comSheeran cried onstage addressing the drama. / SplashNews.com“I am making mistakes, and I’m so, so sorry,” he continued, clarifying that while he “never wanted to be an activist musician,” he is “in the middle of an important and passionate argument about freedom of speech and the most complex political issue on the planet.”Sheeran concluded, “My concerts have always been a safe space for everyone, and that matters hugely to me. Honoring my commitment to my fans is also completely essential to who I am. That is why I am here tonight, on my own, and continuing my current tour.”Sheeran initially broke his silence via Instagram on Tuesday, writing that he’s “not complicit” in the “devastating conflict” in the Middle East — and that he was not directly behind the decision to axe Macklemore.“Macklemore coming off tour was the promoter’s decision, it was not mine,” he noted. “Macklemore’s contract for the tour was with the promoter, not me. I would never let down the fans who had made plans, nor would I abandon the touring crew and the other support acts and musicians who rely on me for work.”Messina Touring Group, promoter of the US leg of Sheeran’s Loop Tour, announced Macklemore’s removal after “discussions with shareholders” over “several venues” — including Saturday night’s stadium — “not allow[ing] a concert to take place with Macklemore on the lineup.”Macklemore was the first to speak out about the drama, writing via Instagram that “wanting all humans to be treated equal should never be controversial.”Macklemore (pictured performing in June 2025) was the first to address his firing via social media last week. RedfernsThe “Thrift Shop” singer (pictured performing above on Sept. 4) clarified that he hopes to remain friends with Sheeran. Alec GeartyIn a lengthy post Monday, he defended voicing his support for Palestinians amid the Israel-Hamas War “loud and clear, so that people all the way in Gaza to the occupied West Bank know that we have not forgotten about them.”The “Thrift Shop” hitmaker clarified that he and Sheeran are not “victims” in the drama, as they have “careers, money, opportunities, safety and audiences around the world,” while the Palestinian people have “been killed, starved, displaced and forced to live through unimaginable violence.”He shared his intention to remain friends with Sheeran in the social media upload. How the New EU Border System Will Impact Albanian Travelers New

How the New EU Border System Will Impact Albanian Travelers
