Taylor Swift's Emotional Tribute Leaves Everyone Wondering: What Did Her Family Do? New

Taylor Swift's Emotional Tribute Leaves Everyone Wondering: What Did Her Family Do?

Taylor Swift is paying tribute to her family after being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The “I Knew You, I Knew It” singer, 36, was admitted into the prestigious hall of fame during an awards ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City on Thursday, June 11. During her acceptance speech, Swift acknowledged the sacrifices her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, and brother Austin made to help her kickstart her music career. “It was easy to choose songwriting over everything else in my life. But it couldn’t have been easy for my parents and my brother to just pick up and move our entire family from Pennsylvania to relocate to Nashville so that I could hone my craft in the songwriting capital of the world,” she said, per Variety. “But after making obvious that this was not even remotely a temporary phase their teen daughter was going through, they uprooted their entire lives to move me to Music City. And even though words are supposed to kind of be my thing, I will never be able to express my gratitude to you guys for doing that for me. You’re the reason I’m here tonight.” Elsewhere during her speech, Swift, who attended Thursday’s ceremony with fiancé Travis Kelce, also 36, spoke about the impact her music has had on people. “I’m very frequently told by people how they feel about my music,” she said. “That they never really got my music until they got their heart broken or started driving their daughter to school every day or until I made an alternative album in the pandemic called ‘Folklore.’ Or that they only like the hits or that they only like the ones that weren’t hits, or that they don’t like any of it at all. But it doesn’t feel uncomfortable for me to get feedback of all sorts because I know where I stand regarding the work I’ve made.” The Grammy winner added, “As writers, we can only hope to meet people where they are in their lives. But you can’t ever orchestrate or force the encounter. You just have to hope that in some exquisite happenstance you bump into them on the same path at the same time. That somehow, amidst the noise of life, a line we wrote or a melody that we crafted cuts through, and they hear it and feel something. But they get chills or feel lighter or think of someone they love. Our goal is to elicit that glint of recognition in another human being because something that felt good and true to us feels good and true to them at the same time. And in that moment, when someone blurts out, ‘I love this song,’ it was easy.” Swift concluded her speech by thanking the fans who have stuck by her since she released her first song, “Tim McGraw,” in 2006. “Nothing makes me happier than when someone tells me that they used to listen to my music with their parent, and now decades later, they listen to it with their own child,” she gushed. “Or that they listen to it with their best friend or when a couple tells me that ‘Love Story’ is their song. Or where somebody does like a cute little dance to ‘The Fate of Ophelia,’ or I hear people in different countries singing ‘Opalite’ in their own accents, or someone tells me that the song ‘Enchanted’ gets their baby to stop crying. I’m humbled by the ways that fans have immortalized my songs in their own individual ways, allowing them to be the underscore of some of their real-life expeditions on this earth, the magnificent moments as important to me as the seemingly mundane.”

The palace said that she had suffered a severe heart arrhythmia resulting from inflammation following a mycoplasma infection. Bajrakitiyabha’s condition worsened due to an intra-abdominal infection, colitis, low blood pressure, arrhythmias, and blood-clotting disorders, the palace statement said.In April, doctors feared that Bajrakitiyabha’s condition was deteriorating due to the infection, according to Nation Thailand. The princess was hospitalized in December 2022 after a sudden loss of consciousness caused by a heart condition. The king has not publicly designated an official heir, but Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti is the presumptive successor. The palace said royal funeral rites will be held in the coming days, while the government is expected to declare a period of national mourning. The loss comes just eight months after the death of Thailand’s Queen Mother, who died in October at age 93.With Post wires

Why Everyone's Talking About 'The Odyssey's' Bizarre Popcorn Bucket New

Why Everyone's Talking About 'The Odyssey's' Bizarre Popcorn Bucket

Matt Damon stars as Odysseus "The Odyssey," written and directed by Christopher Nolan. Universal Pictures Movie theatres are horsing around with fans.Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” is coming to theaters on July 17, and to excite moviegoers, they’ve released a Trojan Horse Popcorn Bucket that requires customers to open a secret hatch on the horse to access their popcorn. The Trojan Horse popcorn bucket is the second collectible popcorn bucket released for The Odyssey. Instagram/@theodysseymovieThe location of the hatch is sparking funny commentary on social media. “Why is it in a dick pouch?” commented an X user on the announcement post for the bucket. Turning to souvenir popcorn buckets and movie merchandise is a smart way to incentivize people to actually go to the movies in the world of streaming. The popcorn bucket prop phenomenon is the latest — and wildly successful — trend in novelty concessions to bait fans. Past popcorn pushes have featured the designer-esque handbag for “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” the $65 corvette popcorn vessel for “Barbie” and the “Mission: Impossible” bucket that needed a key to unlock. The moviegoer swag market has skyrocketed since the inception of collectible popcorn buckets, as AMC recorded sales of over to over $54 million annually in the mid-2020s — compared to their reportedly $0 revenue in 2018, Time reported in November 2025.However, a plastic horse with a popcorn pouch that is inconvenient to eat out of may not be the solution for moviegoers.“Amazing. Now release the cyclops face bucket where I can eat out of the eyeball,” another X user wrote. The bucket will be available in-theater at Regal, AMC and Cinemark locations. The Trojan Horse bucket is the second collectible for the film, the first being the IMAX Film Camera Popcorn Bucket, which sold out on its first day. Commenters are not only criticizing the bucket’s design, but also the size. “Smallest popcorn content of all time,” one Instagram user wrote in the comments of the bucket-reveal post. And someone on X asked, “What is this? A popcorn bucker for ants??” The Odyssey posted their popcorn bucket in Venice Beach, CA to build excitement for the life-sized Trojan Horse replica being put there. Instagram/@theodysseymovieThe Trojan Horse is an iconic object in the story of “The Odyssey,” as the Greeks constructed a giant wooden horse, hid soldiers inside and presented it as a gift to Troy, whose citizens did not know who was inside. Instead of hiding soldiers, this wooden horse conceals your popcorn so you don’t spill any in the theater.“You open it and a small army of tiny men run out and stab you,” another Instagram user joked. Others are saying that “Homer is rolling in his grave” and “the placement of the hole is interesting, to say the least.”But there are always super-fans who are willing to buy any collectible, and Homer enthusiasts are excited to eat their popcorn out of the Trojan Horse on opening night. “Do I have room for more buckets? No. Will I be getting this one though? ofc,” one fan wrote on Instagram.“NOW THIS IS A POPCORN BUCKET,” wrote another. The Trojan Horse has become the key marketing symbol for the movie, with a humongous horse displayed in Venice Beach, CA.With a star-studded cast of Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson and Zendaya, the film already has lots of buzz surrounding it. With Oppenheimer, Interstellar, The Dark Knight and Memento just being some of the movies in Nolan’s filmography, the hype surrounding this upcoming film is predictable.

Mystery Deepens: Unmarked Graves Found Amid Search for Missing Nancy Guthrie New

Mystery Deepens: Unmarked Graves Found Amid Search for Missing Nancy Guthrie

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos responded to reports of an anonymous tip over the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie that allegedly led to searches of unmarked graves in Mexico. “We are aware of reports regarding an anonymous tip related to the Nancy Guthrie investigation that was provided to a group in Mexico,” Nanos, 70, said in a statement on Thursday, June 11. “At this time, we have not been contacted by Mexican authorities.” His statement concluded, “This investigation remains active and ongoing, and we will continue to follow up on any credible information.” TMZ reported on Thursday that a group of volunteer searchers called Buscando Corazones Nogales received an anonymous tip that led them to the U.S.-Mexico border. The group was reportedly assisted by the Sonora State Commission for the Search of Missing Persons in searching a remote area on Wednesday, where they allegedly found 25 unmarked graves. Per the outlet, there was no sign of Guthrie. Nancy — the mother of Today host Savannah Guthrie — disappeared from her home just outside of Tucson, Arizona, in the early hours of February 1. She has yet to be found and local police have not publicly identified any suspects. The Guthrie family offered a $1 million reward for information leading to Nancy’s return in February, in addition to the FBI putting up $202,500. Last month, Sheriff Nanos acknowledged that he was not “personally” in contact with the Guthries regarding updates in the case. “If [my team] need the family for anything, they get in touch with them and the family,” he told People on May 14. “It works both ways.” Nanos subsequently offered insight on why the Guthrie case has been so difficult to solve during an interview with local Tucson, Arizona outlet KOLD News 13. “These cases are difficult,” he clarified on June 1. “Not just this case. A number of our cases come to us where it requires a lot of work from other people. It’s not just a detective who goes out there, talks to somebody, and we can make an arrest.” He described Nancy’s disappearance as particularly “sensitive” because there has been so little valuable DNA evidence recovered thus far. “What really makes it prolonged is we do rely on labs,” he added. “You don’t want to jeopardize not just the integrity of this case, but the integrity of DNA as a supplement to law enforcement work.” Savannah, 54, officially returned to her job at NBC’s Today in New York City on April 6. Earlier this week, the TV host shared a religious painting depicting Christ’s ascension along with an appeal on her mom’s behalf. “Oh my, my soul, it cries out, soul, it cries out,” Savannah wrote via her Instagram Story on Sunday, June 7. “Bring her home.”

Newborn 'Good Luck Charms' Spark Knicks' NBA Finals Magic New

Newborn 'Good Luck Charms' Spark Knicks' NBA Finals Magic

Cameron Issacs, one of the youngest New York Knicks fans, stayed up way past his bedtime Wednesday night, watching his team trample the San Antonio Spurs with a 107-to-106 buzzer-beater victory. But winning is nothing new to the eight-day-old. He was born mere hours before the Knicks scored their first triumph against their southwestern opponents during Game 1 of the NBA Finals on June 3. “He’s like their good luck charm,” mom Kazaya, 30, and dad Anthony, 35, both Bronx natives now living in South Florida, agreed with a laugh while exclusively talking to The Post. Cameron Isaacs is celebrated by his family as a good luck charm due to his birth coinciding with the Knicks’ game 1 NBA Finals victory. Courtesy Kazaya and Anthony IsaacsBaby Cameron is one of hundreds of newborns to storm the scene — whether as near as the Upper East Side’s Lennox Hill Hospital, where Labor & Delivery nurses are gifting infants Knicks-bedecked beanies, or as far as the opposite coast — as the Knicks sprint ever-closer to their first championship trophy since 1973.The ballers fell short of the glory in 1994 and 1999, both times suffering sore losses that have loomed like a dark cloud over the city for nearly three decades. But now, with a 3-win lead over Spurs — a last-second accomplishment clinched by OG Anunoby, which sent thunderous thrills through the likes of Taylor Swift, Nas, Timothée Chalamet, Kylie Jenner, Spike Lee and VIPs of similar ilk at the Garden Wednesday — the skies over NYC are finally shining blue (and orange) again. Swift (Left) and “Law & Order: SVU” star Mariska Hargitay sat in celebrity row, watching the heated matchup with bated breath. Brad Penner-Imagn ImagesAnthony, a lifelong Knicks fanatic, has been breathing happy sighs of relief since his team’s fresh wind of fortunate hit full-force on his son’s birthday.  “It was such a dreamy day,” gushed Anthony, a United States Postal Service worker, of the milestone moment for both his family and his big-game favorites. “Kazaya had the baby via C-section, and she scheduled it not even knowing that was Game 1 of the finals.”Anthony and Kazaya spent some of their pregnancy shopping for Knicks apparel, for themselves and baby Cameron, before his NBA Finals arrival. Courtesy Kazaya and Anthony Isaacs“I was like, ‘Oh, my god, that’s Game 1. What are we gonna do?’ But then I realized the birth was scheduled for 7:30 a.m. that day,” added the zealot, founder of online fan community KnicksNation. At the crack of dawn on June 3, he and Kazaya, also parents to Cameron’s big sister, Aria, 8, headed to a hospital in Palm Beach County, Fl., dressed head-to-toe in New York Knicks gear. Branded hats, a blue and orange suitcase and a duffle bag stitched with point guard Jalen Brunson’s name and jersey number showcased their unabashed fandom.Their early appointment and sports fan swag helped put Anthony’s pounding heart at ease. Kazaya tells The Post she hopes her baby’s Game 1 birth is a precursor to the Knicks winning the NBA Championship. Courtesy Kazaya and Anthony Isaacs“I was like, ‘Okay, he’ll be born, we’ll enjoy him and then the game will be in the evening,’” he recalled. “‘We can watch it with him.’”And that they did — right from the comforts of their hospital room. “When they won the first game of the Finals, I wanted to belt out screaming, but you know, I couldn’t because we were still in the hospital and I didn’t want to scare the baby,” said Anthony, who would have “loved” to name his first son “Jalen,” an honorable nod to Brunson, but already has a nephew with the hot moniker.Anthony struggled to curb his enthusiasm while watching the Knicks succeed in Game 1 from his wife’s post-delivery recovery room. Courtesy Kazaya and Anthony IsaacsBorn a Knicks fan, little Cameron’s birth marked a record run for his family’s beloved boys in blue and orange. Courtesy Kazaya and Anthony IsaacsFor Kazaya, a realtor, watching the Knicks spank the Spurs has come as a “nice distraction” as she’s convalescing post C-section — an invasive birthing procedure accomplished through incisions made in a mother’s abdomen and uterus.  “Now that we’re home, recovery’s been rough and there’s a lot I can’t do right now,” said the second-time new mommy. “So watching them play is something fun that I can do while lying down on the couch.”Cameron, however, was upright, watching Game 4 with Anthony as he paced their living room floor during the nail-biting bout. Aria, a newly initiated Knicks fan like mom and dad, was fast asleep around midnight before being startled awake by Anthony’s screams when his home team secured the game series lead. While clad in their Knicks gear, Anthony and baby Cameron kept a close eye on last night’s game. Courtesy Kazaya and Anthony IsaacsKazaya is happy to have birthed a family of Knicks fans, fueled by Anthony’s lifelong allegiance to the team. Courtesy Kazaya and Anthony IsaacsKazaya and big sister Aria kept little Cameron company while Anthony jumped for joy over the Knicks’ Game 4 victory. Courtesy Kazaya and Anthony Isaacs“It was incredible,” Kazaya chuckled, unfazed by her hubby’s disruptive delight. “We were all really excited.”On May 8, 2026, Emilio Weeks came into the world, another Knicks-centered day marked by Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, in which the Knicks faced the 76ers.“Matt just kept saying, ‘You have to get this baby out before the game starts,” joked mother Alexis Hernandez of her husband.Matt Weeks cheered his wife, Alexis, on as she birthed their baby boy, Emilio, just in time for the Knicks v. Philadelphia 76ers face-off during the NBA Playoffs. Courtesy of Alexis HernandezWith just a few hours to spare between Emilio’s birth and the 8:30 p.m. tipoff, the New York native describes snuggling up with her newborn, enjoying Taco Bell with her husband of a decade, and watching the Knicks beat the 76ers.“It was bliss,” Hernandez said. “It felt like a true NY moment, in my hospital room downtown, with my NYC baby, watching the Knicks in the final.”Alexis, Matt and little Emilio enjoyed their first family breakfast watching Knicks coverage one day after the baby was born. Courtesy of Alexis HernandezIronically, her postpartum nurse was from Philly and had fun joking with the couple about who would win.“It’s interesting because you immediately love this newborn who is in your life for a few hours, but on the other hand, you have a moment of history happening from a team you’ve loved your entire life,” said her husband, also a native New Yorker, Matt Weeks. “So you hold your newborn and your iPhone, and you do both.”The next morning, breakfast was served, and the Knicks recap was aptly on the TV.

Shockwaves as Papa Johns Closes 50 Locations: What's Behind the Sudden Shutdown?

An American favorite pizza chain is quietly disappearing from communities across the country.Papa Johns is following through on its plan to close about 300 North American stores, with dozens of locations shuttering in the first quarter – primarily in core Sun Belt states.A recent analysis of Papa Johns financial filings by Fast Company found that 44 stores closed across 17 states, with the highest concentration of closures in Texas, California, Florida and Arizona.Multiple location closures have also been identified in Michigan, North Carolina and Virginia.A Papa John’s restaurant is seen on Feb. 27, 2026, in Austin, Texas. Getty ImagesThe pizza brand first announced in February that hundreds of underperforming restaurants would cease operations by the end of 2027, describing the locations as being primarily franchise-owned, more than a decade old and generating less than $600,000 in annual sales volumes (AUVs).“We believe these closures will further strengthen the system, increasing AUVs by at least 3 percent and improve franchisee health by allowing franchisees to reallocate resources towards operational excellence in their remaining restaurants and open units in priority markets,” Papa Johns CFO Ravi Thanawala previously said. The Washington Post via Getty ImagesHe also said that the majority of the company’s restaurants worldwide have “performed well over the years and delivered strong returns for both corporate and franchise owners,” and that the strategic closure of underperforming restaurants is “among the most impactful actions we can take to improve restaurant profitability and fleet health.”However, shares of Papa Johns International were down roughly 21 percent year to date through Wednesday’s close. Over the past five years, shares of Papa Johns International have fallen more than 69 percent. In addition to the Q1 store closures, filings showed that Papa Johns laid off 7 percent of its corporate workforce.Pizza boxes stacked in a Papa John’s restaurant on Feb. 27, 2026, in Austin, Texas. A recent Wall Street Journal report found that pizza restaurants are now outnumbered by Mexican restaurants and coffee shops.Other pizza chain competitors have made strategic moves amid weakening demand, including rival Pizza Hut closing hundreds of locations and its parent company, Yum! Brands, reportedly looking into a potential sale of the chain.
