Love Island Star TJ Palma's Secret to Making a Coast-to-Coast Romance Sizzle New

Love Island Star TJ Palma's Secret to Making a Coast-to-Coast Romance Sizzle

Love Island USA’s TJ Palma continues to count his blessings after meeting Iris Kendall in Fiji. “We're doing great long distance, two opposite sides of the country, but we make it work, and we've been just climbing uphill together,” TJ, 24, exclusively shared with Us Weekly on Wednesday, June 11, while celebrating his partnership with Hellmann’s Spicy Mayo. “We're going through this new life together. We're best friends, we're lovers. It's just a relationship I've always dreamt of and wanted, and it's surreal to have that really come to life.” Although TJ’s home base is in Florida and Iris lives closer to Los Angeles, the pair try to see each other every other week. “She's coming here. I'm going there, or we're taking a vacation,” TJ explained. “We make it work, and it's just been amazing.” Although TJ left Love Island USA last summer before being officially coupled up with Iris, the pair were able to reconnect in the States once cameras stopped rolling. In November 2025, TJ pulled out all the stops to ask Iris to officially be his girlfriend. “We have fun doing anything or going anywhere, even if it's going to the grocery store up the street,” he said. “It's cool that people look up to us and everything, but we're just regular people at the end of the day. Half of the time, we don't even want to go outside. We’re very, like, ‘Let's stay in. Let's watch a movie. Let's frickin' build a Lego set.’ … It’s no different from anybody else.” As a new batch of Islanders look for love this summer on Love Island USA, viewers may come across TJ and Iris’ new ad for Hellmann’s Spicy Mayo. While the couple spotlight the condiment perfect for French fries, sandwiches and other summer food staples, the commercial also shows off the pair’s chemistry and playful sense of humor. “We had a lot of fun doing it, and I felt like the spicy mayo calls for a spicy commercial,” TJ joked. “Seeing the final product, it's like, ‘Wow! It really came to life.’” With the summer just beginning, TJ is looking forward to spending more quality time with Iris, 26, and making unforgettable memories. As for curious fans wondering when the pair may move in together, TJ said they’ve had discussions about taking the next big step. For now, they are simply enjoying the present. “We honestly haven't come to a decision on where, when, how type of thing,” he shared. “She's always expressed that she was OK moving out of L.A. I've always expressed that I'm OK moving out of Tampa. … We're still trying to figure it out, but I think we're doing a pretty decent job, and it's pretty early. We definitely can see ourselves moving in together soon.” Love Island USA streams new episodes on Peacock every day except Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET. Breakthrough Drug Promises to Prevent 'Ozempic Butt' - What's the Catch? New

Breakthrough Drug Promises to Prevent 'Ozempic Butt' - What's the Catch?

You may yet be able to lean out without losing out, as a new drug could save GLP-1 users from the flat fate of “Ozempic butt.”A symptom of rapid weight loss, Ozempic butt is characterized by a sudden loss of volume and muscle in key areas, leaving users looking and feeling deflated. And Americans are losing weight faster than ever thanks to drugs like Wegovy and Zepbound, with roughly one in eight US adults now turning to GLP-1s to slim down. A symptom of rapid weight loss, Ozempic butt, like Ozempic face, is characterized by a sudden loss of volume. Africa Studio – stock.adobe.comGLP-1 medications work by mimicking hormones to reduce food cravings, increase fullness, slow digestion, and stabilize blood sugar levels.Research suggests that while GLP-1 drugs do indeed trigger significant weight loss, about 25% to 40% of that loss comes from lean body mass, including muscle. This loss is critical because, in addition to giving backsides their bounce, lean body mass supports metabolism, strength, balance, mobility, energy levels and healthy aging. However, a new study published in the journal Nature Medicine found that when weight-loss drugs are paired with an experimental antibody medication called apitegromab, patients may be able to lose weight without sacrificing muscle.According to study coauthor Richard Pratley, the results of the study “absolutely show that they can preserve lean mass.”Apitegromab works by blocking myostatin, a protein that contributes to muscle breakdown. In a clinical trial, Pratley and his team tested the treatment on 102 people with BMIs that classified them as overweight or obese. For 24 weeks, they all got weekly injections of the weight-loss drug tirzepatide (sold under brand names Mounjaro and Zepbound). Half also received a monthly infusion of apitegromab. While both groups lost roughly the same amount of weight, those who received apitegromab retained around 55% more muscle, or “lean mass,” than those who didn’t receive it.Keeping that lean mass also seemed to translate into the retention of strength: Those who took apitegromab recorded slightly greater grip strength and scored higher on a test measuring leg strength and endurance. Participants who received the apitegromab infusion recorded slightly greater grip strength and scored higher on a test that measured leg strength and endurance AntonioDiaz – stock.adobe.comApitegromab — which has not been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and is available only via intravenous infusions — is also being explored as a potential treatment for spinal muscular atrophy.According to Seeley, the ultimate goal is finding “the right drug for the right patient at the right time.”Researchers are calling for future studies to determine if the medicine can help combat sarcopenia, the progressive loss of muscle mass and strength associated with aging, which not only impairs physical performance but also increases the risk of falls and loss of independence.“We need to learn what these medications are capable of,” said Pratley. For those looking to fight back against a flat tush, there are other ways to preserve and promote muscle mass.Experts recommend that adults get at least 150 minutes per week of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise and at least two days of strength training, including lifting weights, resistance training, or other muscle-building activities.Protein is also key to maintaining muscle. The Recommended Dietary Allowance is 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight, or 0.36 grams per pound. For a 150-pound person, that’s 54 grams of protein daily.Dor those looking to build muscle, experts recommend 1.2 grams to 2 grams of protein per kilogram of weight.High-protein foods include chicken, turkey, salmon, tuna, tofu, chickpeas, lentils, milk, yogurt, walnuts, and pumpkin seeds. While red meat is rich in protein, experts warn that a high intake may increase your risk of colorectal, pancreatic, and prostate cancer.

The Hidden Link Between Your Toothbrush and Your Mood New

The Hidden Link Between Your Toothbrush and Your Mood

You really can feel down in the mouth. We tend to think of depression as something that exists in the mind, but the reality is that it affects the whole body — and the whole body can have an impact on depression, including your teeth and gums.“Poor oral hygiene can lead to gum disease. Gum disease creates chronic inflammation,” Dr. Jason Auerbach, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, told The Post. “Chronic inflammation has been associated with a number of health conditions, including depression.”Depression can make it feel impossible to keep up with day-to-day hygiene. Shisu_ka – stock.adobe.comThe brain-mouth-body connectionPeople refer to the mouth as a gateway to the body — it’s where fuel enters to keep the body running, of course, but it can also be an entry point for undesirables, like certain bacteria.Untreated infections in the mouth open the door for that bacteria to go directly into the bloodstream, potentially leading to life-threatening sepsis. These infections can also cause chronic inflammation, which is linked to a number of health conditions, including lowered immunity and heart disease.Oral health is also inextricably linked to mental health. Patients who are struggling with oral health often change the way they think and act. Auerbach says patients may stop smiling in photos, start covering their mouths, and stop speaking up in meetings because they’re self-conscious about their teeth.“The connection [between mental and oral health] is definitely stronger than most people think,” Auerbach said. “The reality is the body doesn’t divide itself into neat little compartments the way people perceive it does.”Can you brush away the bad mood?Research shows that people with common mental health disorders (depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD) have higher rates of tooth decay and tooth than the general population. The reason is not only a lack of daily care at home. One study showed that over 65% of people dealing with poor mental health did not seek dental care. While not brushing your teeth twice a day and skipping flossing and dental check-up won’t directly lead to depression, it certainly doesn’t help.“It’s one piece of a much bigger puzzle, so the better way to think about it is this: The same people who consistently prioritize sleep, exercise, nutrition, medical care and oral health tend to be supporting both their physical and mental well-being,” Auerbach said.Doctors recommend brushing twice a day and flossing once a day. New Africa – stock.adobe.comA vicious cycleDepression is marked by lack of motivation, fatigue and feelings of worthlessness, which make it hard for people to keep up good habits. Hygiene routines — including showering to changing clothes to cleaning teeth — are among the first things to suffer. Unfortunately, skipping brushing and flossing can lead to secondary effects like pain, self-consciousness and isolation, which only make matters worse.“I’ve seen it countless times. Someone becomes depressed. Self-care starts to slip… Maybe they develop bad breath or become self-conscious about their smile,” Auerbach said. “Now, they’re not only struggling emotionally, they’re struggling physically and socially as well.”It creates a vicious cycle in which decay and tooth loss can reduce quality of life, make mental health even worse, and make it harder to seek care and improve health overall.“When people feel good about their oral health, they tend to engage more confidently in life,” Auerbach said. Dr. Jason Auerbach said that often oral health care providers see the effects of depression before anyone else. Courtesy of Dr. Jason AuerbachThe most important dental care habits to keep upAuerbach stressed the need to brush twice a day, floss once a day, see your dentist regularly, stay hydrated and abstain from smoking.“Don’t overcomplicate it,” he added. “If everyone did those five things consistently, we’d eliminate a tremendous amount of dental disease. The basics aren’t sexy, they’re basic, but they’re incredibly powerful.”And for people with depression who are struggling to keep up with dental care, don’t make being perfect an enemy of the good.“If brushing for two minutes feels impossible, brush for thirty seconds. If flossing your entire mouth feels overwhelming, floss a few teeth. If you miss a day, don’t turn it into a week,” Auerbach said. “I think people underestimate how important small wins are when they’re struggling. Some days brushing your teeth is just about proving to yourself that you can still take care of yourself. That’s a meaningful victory.”

Mariska Hargitay's Ultimate Night: Knicks Triumph Tops Her Wedding Day

Mariska Hargitay admitted that the Knicks’ stunning comeback win in Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday might have thrilled her more than her wedding night with husband Peter Hermann. “I love my husband, and our wedding night was great and all, but I think it might have been the greatest night of my life,” the “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” actress told the Hollywood Reporter after the Knicks’ 107-106 victory over the Spurs at Madison Square Garden. Hargitay, 62, has been married to Hermann, 58, since 2004, and they share three children.A rep for Hermann was not immediately available for comment on Thursday evening. Fox, Ben Stiller, and Timothée Chalamet have been spotted as the best of 7 series between the NBA teams heats up. Getty ImagesHargitay, who is a longtime pal of “Life of a Showgirl” hitmaker Swift, 36, apparently has a conspicuous break in her schedule ahead of Swift’s upcoming wedding to Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. The actress is starring as a solo act on Broadway in “Every Brilliant Thing,” with shows running every each Friday evening. However, an eagle-eyed fan noted and relayed to Page Six that her show is canceled on July 3 — the very date Page Six exclusively reported in April that Swift is set to marry Kelce, 36, in New York City.Appropriately, Page Six subsequently reported earlier this month that the pair will wed at Madison Square Garden, and that everyone — including Hargitay — is “sworn to secrecy” on the matter.

White House Transformed: The Secret Inside Trump's UFC Showdown New

White House Transformed: The Secret Inside Trump's UFC Showdown

WASHINGTON — The White House and UFC welcomed dozens of stunned journalists Thursday to the site of the formerly grassy South Lawn, which has been transformed into a massive arena to host a seven-fight mixed martial arts showdown due to start at 8 p.m. Sunday.President Trump, who is celebrating his 80th birthday the same evening, told The Post the fight will be an invigorating expo for Americans, who can watch the event on CBS or Paramount Plus, along with about 4,000 people who scored a spot for a coveted ticket.“They’re the roughest people you’ll ever meet, I will tell you. I don’t know how they do it,” Trump said in a phone interview. The UFC is putting on a seven-fight event Sunday night at the White House. You’re not going to believe it. If you haven’t seen it much, you’re not going to believe it,” added Trump, who has attended many UFC fights with his friend Dana White, CEO of the organization and developer of the “Freedom250” fight concept.Trump and the winners of two championship matches will be presented with massive belts containing 60 carats of diamonds and 2 carats of rubies — the most expensive ever produced — according to a UFC press release, which doesn’t specify the cost. The event ostensibly celebrates the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and its two championship fights are expected to be the most closely watched of the seven contests.American Justin Gaethje will fight Ilia Topuria from the nation of Georgia for the lightweight title. The famed Alex Pereira of Brazil and Ciryl Gane of France will vie for the interim heavyweight title.Of the seven fights, the two title bouts will have five rounds of 5 minutes — unless one of the men submits or gets knocked out. The remaining five non-championship matches will have three five-minute rounds. The Gaethje-Topuria match offers a clear potential moment for American national pride, but Trump held his cards close on who he’s rooting for, saying, “They’re all friends of mine.”“It’s a great match, boy, they’re both great fighters, they’re all great,” the president told The Post.Trump and the winners of two title fights will receive ornate diamond-encrusted championship belts. Getty Images“Pereira is the number one fighter in the world, he’s fighting,” Trump added.“These tickets are selling for a fortune.”The UFC’s octagon fighting ring, positioned roughly where the Marine One helicopter typically lands, is surrounded by elevated seating supported by massive under-floor scaffolding that corrects for the lawn’s slope.Towering over the makeshift facility are two massive arches of steel holding lighting and limited protection from rain — nicknamed “The Claw” for the four-legged metal span’s resemblance to a vending-machine clasp used to retrieve toys.Beneath the makeshift structure are small trailers for talent and event staff. One is labeled “Octagon Girls.”Closer to the Washington Monument are large event tents and portable bathrooms flanking the lawn’s iconic fountain. The 14 fighters are expected to enter the cage through the White House, though the precise choreography of their entrance likely will be a night-of surprise. They will pass a bell and drums on their way to the octagon. “The Claw” is seen from the Rose Garden. Getty ImagesPrime cage-side seats nearest to the action are expected to be filled by Trump and prominent guests, including members of his family and top White House aides.White told TMZ in an interview that Trump was given 1,000 tickets to distribute. Another 200 tickets were at the disposal of the UFC CEO, while 200 more were given out by Ari Emanuel, the CEO of UFC’s parent company TKO Group Holdings and brother of likely 2028 Democratic presidential candidate Rahm Emanuel, a former chief of staff to President Barack Obama.“The rest are all going to the military,” White said, suggesting roughly 2,600 tickets for military personnel.UFC CEO Dana White, left, spearheaded and financed the event. Zuffa LLCHowever, a National Park Service Court filing on Tuesday cited a lower figure of “more than 1,000 members of our armed services.”The precise breakdown may be altered by last-minute invites as desperate would-be attendees work their contacts to try to land a spot at the event that some Trump critics have likened to a scene out of “Idiocracy.”Thirty-five journalists are expected to attend as members of an enlarged pool. The Ellipse parkland immediately south of the White House lawn, meanwhile, can accommodate 120,000 additional people who sought tickets — though the weather in the notoriously hot and muggy capital may dictate turnout. Trump hosted fighters Ilia Topuria, Alex Pereira, Justin Gaethje, and Ciryl Gane at the White House on May 06. Zuffa LLCThe event has a number of corporate sponsors, who have reportedly paid up to $1.5 million.Budweiser, Polymarket and law firm Morgan & Morgan were among the sponsors whose names were spotted Thursday. The Park Service said in its court filing Tuesday that the UFC has spent “well over $60 million and tens of thousands of hours of labor” — responding to a lawsuit from the Public Integrity Project, which alleged a “corrupt use of our most sacred national monuments for private gain.”Mark Shapiro, president and chief operating officer of UFC parent company TKO, told The Hollywood Reporter that “we will not be making money on America’s 250th anniversary. This is an investment for the long term. This is about earned media.”“We see this once-in-a-lifetime stage as a strategic investment to drive subscriber acquisition at Paramount+, massive audience sampling for the UFC overall and Super Bowl-like earned media across the globe,” Shapiro said.

Why Did This Mother Do the Unthinkable? Chilling Details Emerge

Massachusetts mom Lindsay Clancy showed “extreme atrocity and cruelty” when she killed her three kids with exercise bands prosecutors argued, Thursday.Evidence from the scene — including the fact that her husband Patrick Clancy was able to quickly remove the bands from his children’s throats after finding them dead at their Duxbury home on Jan. 24, 2023 suggests that the killings were savage and deliberate, according to prosecutors.Patrick was on the phone with a 911 dispatcher when he finally discovered Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 8-month old Callan in the basement – and as police were headed down the stairs – crying, “She killed the kids!” according to court papers from last week. Tragic End: Equestrian Dies Living Her Dream Life New

Tragic End: Equestrian Dies Living Her Dream Life

A Massachusetts equestrian has died at age 25 after being thrown from her horse and sustaining a fatal neck injury. Chloe Christina Smith was riding her horse, CruZe, with her friends on Friday, June 5, when it refused a jump, throwing her from her saddle. The horse then collapsed on top of her and also died, the New York Post reported. Smith was airlifted to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester where she died seven hours later, surrounded by family and friends, according to ItemLive. Smith “died living her dreams,” her obituary reads. “Most of us never get that chance, that special moment where life comes together, the wind is at your back, and you have everything you ever wanted right in front of you,” the obituary continues. “An avid equestrian, Chloe loved horses. In a cruel twist of fate, she had just achieved what she most desired: she was the new owner of a farm and barn for stabling horses, was moving up the ranks in competitive riding, and teaching lessons to another generation of riders. Following an accident during a routine ride, she is gone long before her time.” Her father, Jim Smith, told ItemLive that Chloe’s “life” was horses. She had purchased a horse farm in April where she boarded horses and trained riders, beginning to build a business out of it. Chloe moved into the farm house a week before the accident. “Her world was right there,” Jim said. “She said she wanted to live there the rest of her life,” Chloe’s mother, Abbe Smith, added. “She wanted to get married there.” Days before her death, Chloe posted a tribute to CruZe via Instagram on his 13th birthday. “I am so grateful to have such a brave, kind, intelligent partner in this sport,” she wrote alongside the May 30 carousel of photos and videos with the horse. “More than that, I’m grateful to have cruzey as my pal. He makes me smile every day and spreads laughter to all who know him.” Chloe’s family described her to ItemLive as committed to social justice and equality. Her brother, Tristan Smith, said, “She was very steadfast in her beliefs. She certainly always wanted the best for people.” “Chloe was a progressive activist, and her memory will live on in each moment that those around her relentlessly pursue their heart’s desire and make positive change in the world,”her obituary added. “She is inspiring us all to ride on.”

FIFA's Hidden Costs: How U.S. Taxpayers Are Paying the Price New

FIFA's Hidden Costs: How U.S. Taxpayers Are Paying the Price

There is a wave of buzz and excitement looming across North America, as the FIFA World Cup is set to begin Thursday afternoon. But what most people don’t know is the hidden costs and loss of revenue that come with the event.According to Adam Crafton of The Athletic, the World Cup will take a majority of the revenue that is generated.FIFA promised to put U.S. cities "on the map" by hosting the World Cup.Instead, taxpayers got stuck with millions in hidden costs.@AdamCrafton_ crunches the numbers — and takes @PabloTorre behind the scenes of "piggish" negotiations and comically absurd demands. pic.twitter.com/rZIi3P57HH— Pablo Torre Finds Out (@pablofindsout) June 11, 2026“The frustration that’s been mounting, there’s a lot of disagreements, there’s a lot of challenges they’ve encountered,” Crafton said on Pablo Torre Finds Out. “Some of the terms that I’ve heard used, terms like ‘Piggish’ to describe FIFA. Others have used terms like ‘They’re great negotiators.” Adam Crafton of The Athletic on Torree Finds Out, explaining the hidden costs of the World Cup. SoFi Stadium ahead of hosting the World Cup this summer. ZUMAPRESS.comIn Crafton’s article about the hidden costs that will affect the U.S. host cities and U.S. taxpayers, he listed seven different examples that include the $25.8 million jail, an estimation of $57.8 million in lost tax revenue by Missouri, Georgia, and Florida, which all waived taxes on ticket sales to entice FIFA, $15 million in building the Dallas Broadcast Center, which is expected to be torn down at the conclusion of the tournament. He also mentioned why FIFA banned host cities from certain sponsorships with coffee, seltzer, and tequila brands, the cost of “Special access traffic lanes” and police escorts for FIFA VIPs, the cost of keeping the stadiums clean, and the additional $13 million injection to ensure MetLife Stadium has a pitch worthy of hosting the World Cup final. After Crafton told Torre about the frustration and disagreements North America faced with FIFA during the negotiation process, he was asked by Torre about what the process had been like by American Cities when they were approached by FIFA president Gianni Infantino and his team, by saying, “America isn’t as desperate as countries that don’t have the built-in ego or resources?”Crafton responded to the question by mentioning how the World Cup helped Qatar [In 2022] become a nation-building project, and called Russia, which hosted the event in 2018, a nation-building project.“I’m not saying America doesn’t want the World Cup,” Crafton said. “Even within the states themselves, Kansas City may need this tournament more than New York, or LA, or even Miami. You then come up against cities that say ‘Hang on, who do you think you are?”When the cities were making their pitch to FIFA, in a meeting that took place in Los Angeles, Crafton mentioned that the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission, Kathryn Schloessman, asked what exactly the cities were getting out of this. FIFA executives replied, saying, “Hosting this tournament will put your city on the map.”Download The California Post App, follow us on social, and subscribe to our newsletters California Post News: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, WhatsApp, LinkedInCalifornia Post Sports Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, XCalifornia Post Opinion California Post Newsletters: Sign up here!California Post App: Download here!Home delivery: Sign up here!Page Six Hollywood: Sign up here!
