Trump Sounds Alarm: Rising Tensions Between Iran and Israel! New

Trump Sounds Alarm: Rising Tensions Between Iran and Israel!

Tupac Shakur Murder Case: The Book That Could Change Everything New

Tupac Shakur Murder Case: The Book That Could Change Everything

A judge has ruled that a book co-written by Duane Davis, who prosecutors allege ordered the 1996 killing of rap icon Tupac Shakur, will be used in trialByJESSICA HILL Associated PressJune 30, 2026, 4:35 PMLAS VEGAS -- A book co-written by the man who prosecutors allege ordered the 1996 killing of rap icon Tupac Shakur can be used in trial, a judge ruled Tuesday. The defense attorney for Duane “Keffe D” Davis tried to bar the 2019 memoir “Compton Street Legend” from being used in trial, which is scheduled to begin Aug. 10, as well as statements Davis had made to police in 2008 and 2009.Davis, 63, faces one charge of murder with a deadly weapon with the intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang in the drive-by shooting of the rapper in Las Vegas.Shakur was in a black BMW on Sept. 7, 1996, in Las Vegas with Death Row Records founder Marion “Suge” Knight when a white Cadillac pulled up beside them at a red light near the Las Vegas Strip, and gunfire erupted. Shakur was shot multiple times and died six days later, while Knight survived with minor injuries.Shakur’s death is considered one of the most notorious unsolved murders in the United States. The case had gone cold until Davis began making public statements about it, including in a book he co-wrote in which he said he was in the Cadillac and provided the weapon used to shoot Shakur. The book revived detectives’ investigation, and Davis was arrested in September 2023. Davis pleaded not guilty. The state’s case hinges on the book Davis co-authored about his time in the gang South Side Compton Crips and statements he made in YouTube interviews.Popular ReadsMichael Sanft, his attorney, argued that the book was fictionalized to make a profit, and that it was unclear which parts — if any — Davis actually wrote. He also argued that statements Davis made to police in 2008 and 2009 should not be used in trial because Davis thought he had immunity due to a proffer agreement that allowed him to speak to detectives without being prosecuted. Judge Carli Kierny determined that Davis adopted the statements in the book as his own, regardless if he wrote the whole book. She said he made multiple statements describing the book as the “real truth.” She also found the statements he made to law enforcement to be voluntary, but expressed concern that Davis was told in 2008 that he would not be prosecuted for what he said in the interview. Marc DiGiacomo, chief deputy district attorney in Clark County, said those interviews were no longer considered inadmissible when Davis chose to write and speak about the events. The state has the right to prove that what Davis wrote is true by using those interviews, he said. “Had he decided to never write the book, he would not, probably, have ever been prosecuted for the crime,” DiGiacomo said.

RFK Jr. Shakes Up Vaccine Policy with Bold Move New

RFK Jr. Shakes Up Vaccine Policy with Bold Move

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in Minneapolis on May 21, 2026. David Berding/Getty ImagesHealth Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is ending emergency declarations for COVID-19 vaccines, treatments, and medical devices, after determining that the circumstances that resulted in the declarations are no longer in place. The health secretary in office in early 2020 issued emergency declarations, providing liability protections for companies that made products for COVID-19 and enabling regulators to issue emergency authorizations, which have a lower evidentiary threshold than regular approval. The declarations were extended multiple times, most recently in 2024 by then-Health Secretary Xavier Becerra through the end of 2029. They provided broad immunity to manufacturers of the products, as well as people who administered them to others.Becerra said in the latest extension that while the COVID-19 public health emergency expired in May 2023, COVID-19 “continues to present a credible risk of a future public health emergency” and that keeping the protections in place was necessary to keep the United States prepared for that threat.Kennedy disagreed, writing in a notice of termination that “circumstances no longer exist to justify emergency use of drugs and biological products during the COVID-19 pandemic.”He cited how regulators in 2025 revoked emergency authorization for COVID-19 vaccines, transitioning to typical approval for all the shots across all available ages.Related Stories“Americans deserve a regulatory system that is transparent, accountable, and rooted in the rule of law,” Kennedy said in a statement. “By ending these COVID-19 emergency use authorization declarations, we’re reinforcing public confidence that emergency authorities are temporary and targeted.”To terminate emergency declarations, a health secretary has to provide advance notice that would give a reasonable amount of time to companies to withdraw the products that have been generated under the declarations. The Food and Drug Administration determined that 12 months is a sufficient period of time, according to health officials. The declarations for vaccines and drugs will thus terminate effective June 29, 2027.The declarations for medical devices such as COVID-19 tests will only stay in place for 180 days, or until Dec. 26, 2026.The FDA has been working with manufacturers of all products still under emergency authorization about seeking approval for continued use, and it is reasonable to conclude that manufacturers will be able to generate data that would support fresh filings to regulators, the notice stated.Officials plan to notify Congress of the development, the Department of Health and Human Services said.

Heartbreaking Details Emerge in Fatal Attack on South Carolina Boy

A 5-year-old South Carolina boy described by family as “vibrant and full-of-life” was mauled to death by two large-breed dogs while at the home of a caregiver, the county sheriff’s department confirmed.JayCeon Gates was attacked by a bull mastiff and a pit bull terrier just before 7:30 a.m. on Saturday in Ladson, about 20 miles northwest of his hometown of Charleston, and was injured along with an unidentified adult. JayCeon Gates was killed by two dogs June 27 while at the home of a caregiver. GoFundMeThe child was rushed to the hospital but pronounced dead at 9:15 a.m.“Both dogs were seized and are in custody pursuant to a search warrant on the date of the incident,” a Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office spokesman told The Post, who said although both dogs were involved in the fatal attack, it was still under investigation, in part to determine which dog was the “primary aggressor.”As for the fate of the animals, the spokesman declined to speculate, saying that decision was in the hands of animal control.A GoFundMe set up as a tribute to little JayCeon notes the family’s “unimaginable grief and hardship.”“This vibrant, full-of-life, autistic boy was loved deeply by his mom and big sister, and his passing has left a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him,” the fundraiser set up by relative Danielle Riley reads in part.“JayCeon’s family is reaching out for support to help cover the funeral expenses and provide comfort during this incredibly difficult time. GoFundMeThe GoFundMe had raised nearly $7,000 of its $10,000 goal as of Tuesday afternoon.Riley did not immediately respond to a message from The Post, but posted an invitation on Facebook welcoming those who wish to honor JayCeon with a balloon release on July 5, asking attendees to bring Power Ranger, Paw Patrol and car-themed balloons.“A Little Warrior. A Big Legend. Forever in Our Hearts. Forever Our Hero,” the bottom of the event flyer reads. The State Law Enforcement Division’s Special Victims Unit, the Department of Child Fatalities and the sheriff’s office are working together on the investigation, according to the Post and Courier.

Queen Camilla Faces Backlash for J.K. Rowling Photo During Pride Month

Queen Camilla ignited anger for posting an Instagram pic with J.K. Carl Court-Getty/POOL supplied by Splash News / SplashNews.comOne Instagram user even called the royal “deplorable.”“AND During pride month no less 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 I stand with the LGBTQI+ community ✊🏼,” the user continued. However, some defended Rowling, noting that she was entitled to her own opinions.“There is a clear double standard when people with large platforms say things you agree with and are celebrated for it, but someone who expresses a different opinion is condemned and attacked,” one person argued in the comments section. “That kind of inconsistency comes across as biased.”In October 2023, Rowling shared a photo on social media reading, “Repeat after us: Trans women are women,” with the caption, “No.” She said she would willingly go to jail for her views.“I’ll happily do two years if the alternative is compelled speech and forced denial of the reality and importance of sex,” Rowling wrote.Rowling, seen here in July 2005, has ignited controversy over her anti-trans views for years. Getty ImagesActor John Lithgow — who’s playing Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore in the “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” HBO reboot — admitted in April that he was urged to stay away from the show due to Rowling’s controversial views, but ultimately decided not to.“I do disagree with much of it. Much of it, I think, has been twisted and represented, and she has sort of doubled down on it at her own cost,” he told the New Yorker Radio Hour.“I just felt the reasons to do it were much, much stronger than the reasons to protest against what Rowling has done and said.”

The Tesla driver was a 64-year-old woman with four juvenile passengers in the car, police told KABC.The driver and one passenger were taken to a hospital for minor injuries, according to KABC.Popular Reads"We're still trying to determine if speed was involved. We do know that the Tesla was going northbound through the parking lot. It was attempting to make a right-hand turn to go eastbound toward Madera and, unfortunately, did not make the turn and went over the sidewalk when it struck the female victim," Simi Valley police Sgt. Rick Morton told KABC.Earlier this month, a Tesla Model 3 crashed into a home in Katy, Texas, killing a woman. Federal safety officials are investigating the crash.Authorities have not said whether any driver-assistance technology was engaged at the time of Monday's crash."We don't believe it was an intentional act, but until we can determine what the cause was, whether it was mechanical failure or there was impairment by the driver, it's still to be determined," Morton said.

JD Vance Sees a Silver Lining in Controversial Supreme Court Decision

Vice President JD Vance argued Tuesday that there is a “big silver lining” in the divided Supreme Court ruling striking down President Trump’s executive order outlawing birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants and tourists.“I know a lot of conservatives, Laura, certainly the people that I’m talking to, that you’re talking to, are extremely disappointed in this, but I do actually think there’s a really big silver lining here, and that’s the simple fact that a lot of legal experts expected this case to go the wrong direction by seven to two, or even eight to one,” Vance said in an interview with Fox News host Laura Ingraham.“The fact that this case was a 5-to-4 decision effectively means that the concept of birthright citizenship, which is an absurdity to the 14th Amendment, that concept is hanging by a thread,” the vice president argued during his appearance on “The Ingraham Angle.” <img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" asylum-seeking migrant rests in the shelter at Annunciation House in El Paso, Texas, on May 189, 2022. New York PostChief Justice John Roberts and fellow conservative Amy Coney Barrett were joined in the majority by liberal Justices Ketanji Brown Jackson, Elena Kagan, and Sonia Sotomayor. The majority ruled that Trump’s order violated the 14th Amendment’s birthright citizenship guarantee.A sixth justice, Brett Kavanaugh, found that the order did not violate the 14th Amendment, but did violate federal law from the 1940s and 1950s.“What I take from [the ruling] is, yes, we’ve got to fix the immigration system even more, we have to be even more aware of who’s coming into our country to make sure that they’re not benefiting from this atrocious Supreme Court ruling,” Vance said, adding, “but it also means that we have to keep fighting … because we actually have an opportunity to reverse this decision.”The vice president further argued that the high court’s “major, major mistake” might invite pregnant foreign nationals “to come here quite literally on a vacation, give birth, and then all of a sudden the child and their family have the full benefits of American citizenship.”“It’s just a preposterous ruling, and the absurdity of that outcome suggests why the Supreme Court should have went the other way.”This is a developing story.
