Rasuwa, Syabrubesi y el puerto de Gyirong fueron las principales zonas de Nepal afectadas por la riada que ocurrió este miércoles en el país con frontera con China y que dejó al menos 160 fallecidos y centenares de desaparecidos, la mayoría de ellos turistas extranjeros, según se ha revelado por parte del Ministerio de Cultura, Turismo y Aviación Civil local. Las imágenes de inundación arrasando con todo lo que hay sobre este corredor fronterizo se han viralizado desde la madrugada de este 26 de agosto (hora México), y entre las fotos y videos que se han circulado destacan principalmente los captados en Rasuwa, el municipio más afectado por el paso de la riada.  (Foto: X @Plaifahzhang) La tragedia en esta región dejó casas y edificios completamente bajo el agua, lodo escombros, tanto así que en las tomas aéreas apenas se alcanzan a ver los techado de cada una de las edificaciones; sin embargo, antes de esta toma desastrosa, el lugar lucía completamente distinto y lleno de vida con fachadas de color y montañas verdes por los árboles de la región. Hoy los deslizamientos dejaron esta imagen en el olvido, mientras que en el lugar los cuerpos de emergencia se han abierto paso entre el lodo, piedras y otros escombros para buscar sobrevivientes y rescatarlos en medio de la tragedia.De acuerdo con AFP, Ejército nepalí realiza búsquedas aéreas y rescató a decenas de personas del distrito de Rasuwa, uno de los más afectados, según informó el gobierno.El antes de la tragedia también permitía ver en tomas aéreas el río Bhote Koshi en Rusuwa rodeado por viviendas, pero tras la riada solo se ven los destrozos que dejó en su camino. Pueblos enteros arrasadosDavid Fisher, director para Nepal de la Federación Internacional de Sociedades de la Cruz Roja y de la Media Luna Roja (FICR) afirmó que "pueblos enteros y zonas de mercados fueron arrasados".La organización está enviando suministros de emergencia, entre ellos mantas, botiquines de primeros auxilios, camillas y bolsas para cadáveres. Brian Austin Green is opening up about facing a neurological battle that was “never completely diagnosed.” “It was, like, stroke-like symptoms,” Green, 53, shared during his upcoming appearance on the "Really Famous" podcast, per People. “I had internal inflammation, so from diet and then, they think, just emotional stress, not handling things well.” Green explained that his symptoms took a toll on his well-being, sharing that he couldn't do normal activities throughout his day. “I couldn’t read,” he recalled. “I couldn’t write. I couldn’t — who I was, essentially, was no more. My brain and my body completely disconnected.” Green shared that the symptoms began while he was married to Megan Fox from 2010 to 2020 and took him time to fully heal. (After his marriage to Fox, Green moved on with Dancing With the Stars’ Sharna Burgess. The couple welcomed their son, Zane, in 2022. Green is also the father of son Kassius, 24, with ex Vanessa Marcil and sons Noah, 13, Bodhi, 12, and Journey, 10, with Fox.) “It took about four and a half years to recover from,” he explained. “I had to learn how to walk again, to talk again. I had to learn how to sort of do everything again.” Nearly three years prior, Green spoke candidly about his health journey and claimed doctors had initially diagnosed him with vertigo and ulcerative colitis. While Green was bedridden for three months, it was unclear what the illness was stemming from. “Then these neurological things started happening after the vertigo, and that was — it was four and a half years of my life. I got to the point where I shuffled like I was a 90-year-old man,” he said during an episode of Cheryl Burke’s “Sex, Lies and Spray Tans” podcast in 2023. The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum shared that he has since connected his health scare to a “dietary” issue. “It was all undiagnosed by Western medicine, so I ended up having to finally find a doctor that is much more into kinesiology and Eastern medicine,” he said. Green was ultimately told by a new physician that he had “internal inflammation from gluten and dairy,” sharing that the diagnosis came after nearly 200 blood tests and two MRIs. “I had such brain fog that I reintroduced my best friend of, like, 25-plus years to my sister, who he had also known for 25-plus years,” he explained.

Tim Curry opened up about his mortality nearly one year before he died at the age of 80. “I don't fear death," Curry told CBS Sunday Morning in October 2025. "I try to avoid it, as I think we all do. But, I suspect that in the end, I will welcome it. Well, I think it may be very comforting to go bye-bye — and I want to earn it.” The Rocky Horror Picture Show star suffered a stroke in 2012 that left him partially paralyzed. “It was so strange. I was actually having a massage, and the guy who was giving me a massage said, 'I'm worried about you. I think we should call a doctor.' I felt fine,” Curry recalled on the show of his health scare. “I had no symptoms that I was aware of. I wasn't in pain." After being transported to a local hospital, Curry was told that he had a stroke and required brain surgery. After the procedure, the actor underwent rehabilitation to learn how to speak again. “That was very weird. I hated not being able to speak,” he said, also revealing he experienced paralysis on his left side. “My face kind of went sideways.” Curry further hit back at the notion that he pitied himself over the ordeal. “I don't think so. I hope not, because I don't admire self-pity much,” he said. “Another legacy from my mother, I guess. It's one that I'm thankful for: ‘Why are you so important that we have to pity you?’” Curry’s manager confirmed to CBS News on Wednesday, August 26, that the Clue star died. Further details, including a cause of death, were not immediately shared. In the years following his stroke, Curry had remained in good spirits. “I’m doing well,” he told Los Angeles magazine in 2015 after receiving a lifetime achievement award from the Actors Fund, noting that his sense of humor was “absolutely vital” to his recovery. “It’s not tough to maintain. It is just part of my DNA.” At the time, Curry gushed that he felt “lucky” to land the role as  Dr. Frank-N-Furter in 1975’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He stated that he often looked back on the cult film “with a sort of bemused tolerance” after it launched his film career,” stating, “It’s neither a blessing nor a curse.” Amid his health issues, Curry shifted his focus to voice acting. La Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) informó que el próximo viernes 28 de agosto llevará a cabo una suspensión temporal del servicio eléctrico, al cual, durará más de 7 horas y se precisó que dicho corte solamente afectará a ciertos usuarios, por ello, en esta nota te diremos todo lo que hay que saber en torno a esta drástica medida, la cual, tiene como objetivo garantizar la continuidad y la calidad del servicio eléctrico.De acuerdo con la información difundida por la Coordinación de Comunicación División Centro Oriente de la Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), el corte temporal de energía que llevará a cabo el viernes 28 de agosto por trabajos de mantenimiento dejará sin luz a los usuarios de al menos tres colonias pertenecientes al municipio de Metztitlán, Hidalgo y como de mencionó antes, estas acciones tienen como objetivo mantener en óptimas condiciones la infraestructura eléctrica para así originar una mayor confiabilidad del servicio en beneficio de la población de la referida región. Foto: CFE Nacional  Estas son las colonias hidalguenses que se quedarán sin luz el viernes 28 de agosto por trabajos de mantenimiento de la CFEEn el comunicado difundido por la Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) se precisó que, los trabajos de mantenimiento que tiene previstos en la infraestructura eléctrica se llevarán a cabo de las 10:30 a las 18:00 horas del viernes 28 de agosto, además, se indicó que los las colonias de Metztitlán, Hidalgo que se quedarán sin luz durante el referido lapso son los siguientes: Miahuatlán San Juan Tlazoquitipa Ante esta suspensión temporal en el suministro eléctrico, las autoridades municipales de Metztitlán, Hidalgo, así como la Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) hicieron un llamado a los usuarios de las colonias antes mencionadas para que tomen las medidas preventivas necesarias y así evitar cualquier tipo de contratiempo derivado de la falta de suministro eléctrico.Para finalizar, la Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) agradeció la comprensión y colaboración de los usuarios que resultarán afectados por esta suspensión en el suministro eléctrico por trabajos de mantenimiento y reiteró que dichas acciones son necesarias para garantizar la calidad y continuidad del servicio eléctrico, asimismo, exhortó a la ciudadanía en general a mantenerse informada a través de los medios oficiales para evitar la propagación de rumores que puedan generar alarma de forma innecesaria.

News broke on Tuesday, August 25, that Parton died at age 80. “Global icon and humanitarian, Dolly Parton, known to the world as a beloved singer, songwriter, philanthropist, actress, playwright and author died peacefully today in Nashville, Tennessee,” read a statement from Parton’s rep. “A rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see, Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth and kindness that made us all feel like family.” The statement continued: “Dolly Parton’s legacy is one of love, compassion and resilience. With a seven-decade career, she inspired multiple generations of artists and fans with her music and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Her songs will continue to resonate with people of all ages, and her philanthropic work will have a lasting impact.” A “small, private service will be held for immediate family” while her “fans and friends from around the world are encouraged to pay tribute to Dolly” on social media and her website, per her request. In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to be made to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Parton, who was named Miley’s godmother because of her close friendship with Billy Ray Cyrus, had been candid throughout her life about her connection to the “Flowers” singer. In 2022, Parton opened up to Us about sharing similar attributes to her goddaughter. “I don’t give advice, but I got a lot of information. Same with Miley,” she told Us at the time. “Everybody says, ‘Do you give Miley advice?’ I said, ‘Nobody gives Miley advice.’ She’s [as] headstrong as I am, but we both respect each other. And we share things.” “If I feel like I’ve got something to say to her, like, a mother or an aunt or a godmother, I will say something. Or [I will] ask her a question about this or that or ask her a question even concerning my own career,” Parton continued. “[Because] I wanna stay involved and important in the business for as long as I live. And I’ve been lucky enough that that’s happened.” In Parton’s perspective, she shared that it was a “great blessing and a great compliment” that she was “able to steer anybody in a good direction.” One year later, Parton released her version of Miley’s “Wrecking Ball” after falling in love with the 2013 track. “When I heard ‘Wrecking Ball,’ I almost wept in my car,” she said in a press release in 2023. “When it started into the chorus, it hit me like a wrecking ball! I thought, ‘How great can a song be, and how great can Miley Cyrus be?’ I thought, ‘I have to have that song on my rock album, and I have to have Miley sing it with me!’ I love it, and I hope you do!”
