Doly Samuel Watson y Denilson Zúñiga son los dos pescadores que se encuentran desaparecidos desde la mañana del pasado viernes 23 de octubre, en San Andrés Islas. Las autoridades los buscan y a la fecha no han tenido mayores detalles de las víctimas. Los familiares de los jóvenes confirmaron que estos salieron a pescar a bordo de una lancha. Al pasar las horas y no tener más información de ellos, los parientes dieron aviso a la Armada Nacional para emprender la búsqueda y tener contactos con las autoridades marítimas de los países vecinos como Nicaragua. “Elevemos nuestras oraciones a Dios para pedir por la protección de Doly y Denilson para que pronto se conozca su paradero. Toda la comunidad de San Andrés se une en esperanza y solidaridad con sus familias en este difícil momento”, escribió en las redes sociales un portal de noticias. La Armada de Colombia, a través del Comando Específico de San Andrés y Providencia y la Estación de Guardacostas de San Andrés, adelanta una operación de búsqueda y rescate para localizar a los dos pescadores. De acuerdo con la información suministrada por sus familiares, los pescadores salieron a realizar faenas de pesca en el área de isla Cayo Alburquerque a bordo de la embarcación Matilde Margarita. En el último contacto, uno de ellos informó a su esposa que habían terminado la faena y regresaban a la isla, pero no fue así. Ya son cinco días sin saber de ellos. Giovanni Patricola muore dopo caduta da sei metri in un cantiere a Villafrati

Si chiamava Giovanni Patricola, era un fabbro di 39 anni: è morto all'ospedale Civico di Palermo dopo essere precipitato da un balcone al secondo piano di una palazzina in ristrutturazione a Villafrati, nel Palermitano. L'incidente è avvenuto in via Alcide De Gasperi, dove l'uomo stava lavorando. La caduta, per cause ancora da chiarire, è stata di circa sei metri. Secondo le prime informazioni, Patricola avrebbe riportato lesioni alle costole e una frattura cranica con emorragia cerebrale. A dare l'allarme sarebbero stati i colleghi, che hanno chiamato il 118. Il fabbro è stato trasportato in codice rosso al Civico di Palermo, dove i medici hanno tentato di rianimarlo. Purtroppo ogni tentativo è stato vano. Giovanni è morto intorno alle 14, alcune ore dopo l'incidente. Sulla vicenda indagano i carabinieri e i tecnici dello Spresal dell'Asp di Palermo, il servizio che si occupa della prevenzione e della sicurezza negli ambienti di lavoro. Gli investigatori dovranno ricostruire le fasi dell'incidente e verificare se nel cantiere fossero rispettate le misure di sicurezza. Sicuramente gli inquirenti dovranno sentire i colleghi di Patricola e il direttore dei lavori incaricato della ristrutturazione per chiarire meglio la dinamica della tragedia. Il sindaco di Villafrati, Franco Agnello, e la vicesindaca Rosalia Costanza avevano seguito l'evoluzione delle condizioni dell'uomo, nella speranza che potesse riprendersi. Patricola era sposato e aveva una figlia piccola. “Non è accettabile che si continui a morire così. Siamo vicini alla famiglia dell’ennesima vittima di un incidente sul lavoro nel palermitano, ci auguriamo venga fatta chiarezza, ma è evidente che ancora la tutela della vita dei lavoratori non è una priorità”. Sono le parole della segretaria generale Cisl Palermo Trapani Federica Badami e il segretario generale Filca Cisl Palermo Trapani Francesco Danese, dopo aver appreso della morte del 39enne a Villafrati: “A soli 39 anni, morire così è inaccettabile. Published 14:44 28 Oct 2026 GMTThe interactive map shows where the predicted deaths from the El Niño are likely to fallResearchers from the Climate Impact Lab have put together a map showing the predicted death toll in each country from the predicted consequences of the El Niño.They're warning that due to the extreme heat from the El Niño they're expecting the weather event to contribute to around 857,000 total extra deaths around the world, with over 372,000 of those projected to come in the next six months.Developing the grimly named 'El Niño Heat Mortality Tracker', they've made an interactive map where you can check out the countries of the world and see which ones have the highest predicted death tolls.Professor Michael Greenstone, a co-founder of the Climate Impact Lab, said: "Our research puts new forecasting capabilities to work to answer one of the most urgent questions we face: where is extreme heat likely to cost lives? Advert“Being able to anticipate the deadly effects of extreme heat is a major step forward. Por segundo año consecutivo, las caravanas de Halloween, conocidas como ‘rodadas del terror’, están prohibidas en Cartagena. Así lo reiteró el alcalde Dumek Turbay, quien advirtió que no se permitirá la realización de estas actividades en la ciudad. “Ni caravanas ni nada que se le parezca”, afirmó recientemente el mandatario a través de su cuenta en la red social X. El pasado 23 de octubre comenzó a circular en redes sociales una convocatoria para una supuesta caravana de Halloween, programada para este sábado 31 de octubre. Convocatoria genera polémica Aunque los convocantes aseguraron que promoverían el buen comportamiento, evitarían alterar el tránsito vehicular y tomarían medidas para prevenir situaciones de riesgo durante el recorrido, la Alcaldía de Cartagena ya había advertido que este tipo de actividades no está permitido en la ciudad. La prohibición se mantiene luego de los hechos registrados durante la noche del 31 de octubre de 2024, cuando una gran caravana de motociclistas recorrió varios sectores de Cartagena y generó temor entre algunos ciudadanos. En esa ocasión, habitantes denunciaron que varios motociclistas, quienes al parecer hacían parte de la caravana, habrían cometido actos de vandalismo. El Distrito informó entonces que la movilización pasó por varios puntos estratégicos de la ciudad e ignoró las restricciones establecidas en el Decreto 002 de 2024, que prohíbe la circulación de motocicletas de cualquier modalidad y cilindraje entre las 11:00 p. m. y las 5:00 a. m. Como resultado de los operativos de esa jornada, el Departamento Administrativo de Tránsito y Transporte (DATT) inmovilizó cerca de 200 motocicletas. Strategia reală de guvernare a PSD a fost limpede ca apa din prima zi: să dea vina pe 'greaua moştenire' pentru tot ceea ce a promis şi ştie că nu este în stare să implementeze: creşteri de salarii şi pensii, reducerea TVA şi multe altele. Pentru a-şi justifica eşecul, PSD îi cere acum ministrului Finanţelor să prezinte public 'situaţia economică reală a României'. The divergence may have contributed to a falling out that led to an epic legal battle between the two. Disastro ferroviario in Spagna: coinvolto treno Iryo, 30 morti

Uno dei due treni protagonisti del disastro ferroviario avvenuto questa mattina nella provincia di Toledo, in Spagna, era un convoglio della compagnia Iryo, società partecipata al 51% da Fs International. Stando a quanto finora accertato la collisione è avvenuta alle 8:54 tra Mora y Orgaz e Urda, al chilometro 118, e ha visto protagonisti un treno Renfe e - per l'appunto - un Iryo, in quel momento fermo. Entrambi stavano percorrendo la tratta da Madrid a Siviglia. L'impatto è stato violentissimo e ha causato la morte di almeno 30 persone e il ferimento di molte altre; sebbene le esatte cause della tragedia non siano state ancora accertate, le prime indicazioni suggerirebbero che l'incidente sia stato causato da un errore umano presso la centrale di controllo di Atocha, che avrebbe ordinato al treno Renfe di proseguire la sua corsa nonostante una luce rossa stesse segnalando la possibile presenza di un altro convoglio sui binari. Maggiori indicazioni al riguardo tuttavia arriveranno solo nei prossimi giorni, quando gli inquirenti avranno modo di analizzare le scatole nere dei due convogli e approfondire gli ipotetici errori da parte di operatori al lavoro nella centrale di controllo. Di certo, comunque, quello di stamattina è stato il secondo disastro ferroviario in appena 238 giorni in Spagna: il 18 gennaio 46 persone persero la vita ad Adamuz e anche in quell'occasione la tragedia vide protagonista un treno Iryo. Ma cosa è Iryo? Parliamo del principale operatore privato dell’alta velocità spagnolo, di una società diventata simbolo della liberalizzazione del trasporto passeggeri su ferro oggi seconda compagnia del settore in Spagna per numero di treni, frequenze e viaggiatori. Iryo è controllata al 51% da FS International, società interamente controllata da FS Italiane SpA, accanto alla quale figurano anche Air Nostrum, storica compagnia aerea regionale spagnola, con il 25%, e Globalvía, grande concessionario infrastrutturale, con il 24%. Il centro decisionale di Iryo tuttavia resta italiano: l’amministratore delegato è infatti Fabrizio Favara, manager di punta di Trenitalia che nell'aprile 2025 aveva sostituito ai vertici aziendali un altro italiano, Simone Gorini. Anche sul fronte tecnologico e industriale il cuore dell’offerta Iryo è italiano ed è rappresentato dalla flotta di Frecciarossa ETR 1000, adattata però alle specificità della rete spagnola. I venti convogli acquistati dalla compagnia - ribattezzati ETR 109 o S109 per il mercato iberico - rappresentano una versione "localizzata" del treno simbolo dell’alta velocità italiana. La produzione è avvenuta tra Italia (prevalentemente Pistoia) e Spagna, a cura di Hitachi Rail in collaborazione con Bombardier, oggi confluita nel gruppo Alstom. Rispetto agli ETR 1000 (o ETR 400) in servizio con Trenitalia, le differenze non riguardano la piattaforma di base, ma gli adattamenti necessari per l’esercizio sulla rete AV spagnola. In primo luogo i sistemi di sicurezza e segnalamento, modificati per garantire la piena compatibilità con gli standard tecnologici e normativi locali. Cambiano anche gli interni: sui treni Iryo non è prevista la classe Executive.
