Explosive Drone Targeted Albanian Prime Minister's Office Amid Violent Protests, Claims Rama

Brent petrolde yükseliş yüzde 3,5'i aşarak yüzde 4'e yaklaştı. Batı Teksas (WTI) tipi ham petrolün varil fiyatı da 100 doların üzerine çıktı.ARZ ROTALARI VE ÜRETİM KESİNTİLERİCumhuriyet'in haberinde aktarılan uluslararası analistlerin değerlendirmelerine göre, Ortadoğu'daki siyasi ve askeri gerilimin daha geniş bir coğrafyaya yayılma ihtimali, petrol nakliyesi ve arz rotalarına ilişkin kaygıları artırıyor.ABD'nin Meksika Körfezi'ndeki petrol üretimini etkileyen kasırga ve fırtınaların yol açtığı günlük üretim kesintileri de arzı daraltan unsurlar arasında gösteriliyor. ABD ekonomisinde yükselen enflasyon beklentilerinin de enerji maliyetlerine yönelik hassasiyeti artırdığı belirtiliyor.BENZİN VE MOTORİNDE ZAM BEKLENTİSİHaberde, döviz kurlarının yüksek seyrettiği ortamda ham petrol fiyatlarındaki sıçramanın Türkiye'de akaryakıt fiyatları üzerinde artış baskısı oluşturduğu aktarılıyor. Ekim ayının ilk yarısındaki fiyatlamalara göre büyükşehirlerde benzinin litresi ortalama 85 TL, motorinin litresi ise 96 TL seviyesinde satılıyor. Brent petroldeki yükselişin kalıcı olması halinde pompa fiyatlarında olası artışların, nakliye ve lojistik maliyetleri üzerinden gıda başta olmak üzere temel tüketim mallarına yansımasından endişe ediliyor. www.sozcu.com.tr internet sitesinde yayınlanan yazı, haber ve fotoğrafların her türlü telif hakkı Mega Ajans ve Rek. Dijana Hrka: Simbol borbe protiv vlasti nakon tragedije u Novom Sadu New

Dijana Hrka: Simbol borbe protiv vlasti nakon tragedije u Novom Sadu

Dijana Hrka Foto: N1 autor: 17. okt. Ghosting's Hidden Pain: Ghosters Often Feel Worse Than Their Victims

Few pitfalls of modern relationships are more confounding than being ghosted — but new research suggests that those who ghost may suffer most.Ghosting, the act of disappearing on a partner without warning, is a full-scale epidemic. A  recent survey revealed that 75% of people have been ghosted. Valerii Honcharuk – stock.adobe.comFor the victim, ghosting often leads to confusion, distress, and a kind of emotional purgatory, as the person being ignored wonders whether the relationship is over, they did something to deserve their exile, or something catastrophic has happened to the person who has suddenly gone no-contact.In Psychology Today, Dr. Jennice Vilhauer writes that ghosting inhibits our ability to process. “Ghosting gives you no cue for how to react,” said Vilhauer. “It creates the ultimate scenario of ambiguity. Should you be worried? What if they are hurt and lying in a hospital bed somewhere? Should you be upset? Maybe they are just a little busy and will be calling you at any moment. You don’t know how to react because you don’t really know what has happened.”However, researchers have recently discovered that people who perform this cruel disappearing act are often beset with guilt, shame and remorse. In many instances, the ‘ghosters’ reported feeling genuinely conflicted and remorseful about their behavior. Personality and Social Psychology BulletinTo understand who ghosting truly haunts, a joint research team from Cambridge and the University of California explored the phenomenon through three studies covering lived experiences, imagined situations, and live digital interactions.“We find that people who are ghosted underestimate how bad their conversation partners feel about ghosting them,” study authors wrote in the journal Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin.“Overall, this research provides a window into the overlooked pain of ghosting others,” they added.Across all three studies, researchers found that the person who gets ghosted often assumes the person who cut off contact did so because they didn’t care or had moved on with someone else.Researchers found that a minimal message, something as simple as “sorry, can’t talk,” went a long way in reducing the misunderstanding and mitigating hard feelings. Ilona – stock.adobe.comHowever, in many instances, the “ghosters” reported feeling genuinely conflicted and remorseful about their behavior.“People who ghost others may experience guilt and even depressive symptoms consistent with the idea that hurting others can hurt oneself,” wrote the study authors. This proved particularly true when said ghosting was accidental and triggered by distraction, delayed response time, or abject forgetfulness. Further, researchers found that a minimal message, something as simple as “sorry, can’t talk,” went a long way toward reducing the misunderstanding and mitigating hard feelings.“At a time when romantic, social, and professional communication increasingly occurs online, and ghosting is the easiest form of rejection, it is important to understand when and why people ghost and their feelings about doing it,” they concluded. Researchers hope their findings will help people adopt simple intervention strategies, better understand how conversation partners feel about responses, and navigate everyday communication with more efficacy and empathy.

Smoking Harms Every Organ: Doctor Reveals the Global Health Threat Ignored by 1.2 Billion People New

Smoking Harms Every Organ: Doctor Reveals the Global Health Threat Ignored by 1.2 Billion People

Updated 14:06 17 Oct 2026 GMT+1Published 19:01 12 Oct 2025 GMT+1Dr Jeremy London explained this bad habit does a lot more damage than people tend to realiseA doctor has revealed what he believes the 'worst thing you can do' to your body is - and more than a billion people do it every day. Despite this bad habit being one of the biggest public health threats the world has ever faced, it is still unbelievably popular, much to Dr Jeremy London's dismay. He explained that smoking does a lot more damage than the average person might think, as it impacts almost every organ in the body. The cardiovascular surgeon, from the US, shares 'easy-to-understand, relatable health information' online in the hopes of inspiring people to take good care of themselves. AdvertDr London previously uploaded a clip to his YouTube channel detailing the 'top three preventable risk factors for all-cause mortality' - which he believes are smoking, a poor diet and high blood pressure. Smoking impacts a lot more than just your lungs (Getty Stock Images)A lot of folks seem to think smoking only wreaks havoc on your lungs, but when you inhale, the toxic substances packed inside of a cigarette travel through your airways, into your bloodstream and throughout your entire body. Dr London kicked off the video by describing sparking up a cigarette being 'the single worst thing you can do for your body'. "It damages nearly every organ system, increases the risk of heart attack, stroke, and is responsible for the vast majority of lung cancer deaths," he said. "Roughly one in five deaths are linked to tobacco use. If you smoke, think long and hard about quitting. "It's the most powerful step you can take for your health."The World Health Organisation agrees, as it describes the tobacco epidemic as 'one of the biggest public health threats the world has ever faced'. According to the WHO, smoking is the cause of more than 7 million deaths annually as well as disability and long-term suffering from tobacco-related diseases - but there are still a whopping 1.2 billion tobacco users worldwide.Even just one cigarette can take 20 minutes off your life, according to scientific studies.Simulations have also revealed the impact that smoking and vaping can have if you do it for just a month of your life, and the damage it can do to your lungs, in particular, can be huge.Dr London said quitting smoking is the 'most powerful step you can take for your health' (Getty Stock Image)Dr London went on to explain why a poor diet and high blood pressure are two other things that can easily send you to an early grave. He added: "Diets low in fruits and vegetables, high in trans fats, and ultraprocessed foods contribute to the same proportion of deaths as smoking, mainly from cardiovascular disease. "Now, food is information for your body. Design a nutritional plan that works for you and be thoughtful about what you put in your mouth."And finally, high blood pressure, the silent killer. It affects one in two Americans, and most have no idea. Chronic elevation of the systolic blood pressure, the top number, damages the heart, brain, and kidneys."The good news is it's highly modifiable through lifestyle, diet, stress management, and medication when necessary. Be proactive, not reactive."Featured Image Credit: SEBASTIAN KAULITZKI/SCIENCE PHOTO LIBRARYTopics: Health, Vaping

Denise Richards Reveals $200,000 Facelift to Defy Aging Amid Divorce

Updated 20:57 15 Oct 2026 GMT+1Published 15:37 15 Oct 2026 GMT+1The Bond girl opened up about why she decided to go public with her facelift resultsEarlier this year, Denise Richards went public with the reveal of the facelift she had done in 2025.The former Bond girl said she'd initially told herself she would 'never' get one, but after sharing incredible before-and-after photos, she called it the ‘best thing’ she’s done. And to be honest, we’re still not over the results of the reported $200,000 facelift, as some have even compared it to a total ‘head transplant’.Already known for her stunning looks before it, Richards previously said she had it done to get a brighter and tighter complexion in a bid to ‘put things back up where they were before’.AdvertThe 55-year-old trusted her face with celebrity plastic surgeon Dr Ben Talei, who specialises in ‘natural, long-lasting facelift and neck lift surgery'. His site explains that facelifts 'aim to address signs of aging in the lower face and neck by lifting and tightening sagging skin and muscles'.She opened up more on a recent podcast. (YouTube/The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show)Why Denise Richards went public about her faceliftThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star appeared on The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show earlier this week when she explained the announcement.Richards had the facelift back in June 2025, a month before her ex Aaron Phypers filed for divorce.Denise Richards in 2023 (left) and 2026 (right) (YouTube/Bethenny Frankel/The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show)She alleged that during proceedings, he ‘said something in court about it on purpose’.“I was so pleasantly surprised because there was media in there that didn't print it, which was nice,” Richards explained on the podcast.“But I figured, you know what, I think I just need to be honest. And I didn't want to give him that power and have to say it then."Denise Richards pictured in 2024 (left) and last month (right) (Charles Sykes/Bravo via Getty Images/JC Olivera/Variety via Getty Images)Now, she’s ‘so glad’ that she’s been open about the facelift.“I didn't know how people would react, but I think I want to know what everyone's doing. What's peptides, what's this, what's that,” she said.Plus, she was so pleased with Dr Talei’s work that she ‘wanted to share the information’.She told Allure last year when she first opened up about the facelift: "I always said I would never get a facelift, because that's my face. This is how I make my money."If things go a little sideways when you do some other part of your body, you could cover it. So I was always scared of a facelift."But, after thinking about it for two years, she took the plunge and went under the knife. It really is amazing work (Instagram/@drbentalei)Before and after Denise Richards’ faceliftRichards appearance on the podcast this week has led to the images of her facelift going viral again. One user wrote on X: “The new face lifts are literally insane it’s like basically a head transplant.”Another wrote: “The surgeon put his foot on the back of Denise Richards’ neck and YANKED her back to 1998, she looks absolutely incredible (although she also looked great before), flawless work.”Simply amazing (Instagram/@drbentalei)It’s been widely agreed that it’s one of the ‘best facelifts’ people have ever seen as one wrote online: “It really is. She still looks like herself, only younger but also still not really young, if that makes sense? No weird distortions.”"She looks amazing," plenty have said as another wrote: "I'm not a fan of cosmetic surgery but the doctor did do a good job on her.""Denise really got yanked back to 1998 and I’m lowkey taking notes cause that glow is everything right now babe," one put.LADbible has contacted a representative for Aaron Phypers for a comment.Featured Image Credit: JB Lacroix/WireImageTopics: Denise Richards, Celebrity News, Entertainment
