Braçe opposes territorial reform: 46 responsibilities were transferred to municipalities without adequate funding

Pra as në nivel grupi, as nivel profesional grupi siç komisionet parlamentare.

Trump concedes Nobel committee may pass him over as Pope Leo emerges among favourites

Published 14:06 8 Oct 2026 GMT+1Pope Leo is among the names tipped to win this year's Nobel Peace Prize Four US presidents have won the Nobel Peace prize, with Donald Trump saying he deserves to be the fifth, even though he admits that the committee might not see it that way. Speaking to reporters at the White House, the president said: "I don't know what [the Norwegian Nobel Committee's] decision is going to be. They have a reputation for maybe not giving it to people like me. Trump said he was honoured to have recieved the prize indirectly last time around. Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado gave him her 2025 Nobel Peace Prize medal in January as she sought US support for her efforts, and he said the recipient told him ‘nobody in history deserves it more than President Trump’.Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado gave Trump her 2025 Nobel Peace Prize medal in January. He also said his efforts to keep Iran from developing a nuclear weapon had saved millions of lives and 'stopped maybe the total obliteration of the world.'US-Israel strikes on Iran have led to a seven-month simmering conflict that has upended global energy supplies and driven gas prices up ahead of November's midterm elections, while a resolution to Russia's war in Ukraine has eluded Trump, who promised to end it on the first day of his second White House term.Barack Obama was the last US President to win the Nobel Peace Prize (Photo by ROBERTO SCHMIDT/AFP via Getty Images)Which countries nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize? The leaders of Cambodia, Israel and Pakistan have said they nominated Trump for the prize, though there is no way to verify that.Parties to some of the conflicts Trump claims to have resolved dispute his diplomatic role, and fighting has flared in some of those regions, including the Democratic Republic of Congo and along the border between Cambodia and Thailand. If successful, he would follow Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama as US presidents to win the prize.Pope Leo is among the favorites to win this year's Nobel Peace Prize. (Mario Tomassetti - Vatican Media viaVatican Pool/Getty Images)Who is favourite to win the Nobel Peace Prize 2026?Pope Leo, the International Criminal Court and Francesca Albanese, the special rapporteur for the Palestinian Territories, are among the favorites to win this year.Leo has said he will keep speaking out against war after Trump called him ‘weak’ for criticizing the US conflict with Iran. His encyclical on AI, advocacy for dialogue and humanitarian work could all justify a prize.Karim Haggag, director of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, said of the pontiff: “He has emerged as a leading thought leader.”Albanese has been under fire from the US and Israel for criticizing Israel's conduct of its war against Hamas in Gaza and the occupation of the West Bank.Francesca Albanese, the special rapporteur for the Palestinian Territories, has been under fire from the US and Israel over her criticism of Israel's conduct of the Gaza war. (Photo by Teresa Biancorrosso/Getty Images)Haakon Gjerloew, acting director of the Peace Research Institute Oslo, said the five-strong judging body will be mindful of picking someone who can withstand pressure from Trump.“I think last year's events around the Nobel Peace Prize, Maria Corina Machado giving it to Trump afterwards, will affect some of the considerations that they make,” he said.Oeivind Stenersen, a historian and expert on the Nobel Peace Prize, said the committee is also under scrutiny to address Trump's approach to global diplomacy: “In this serious international situation, this year calls for a Peace Prize in defence of liberal democracy, international law and human rights.”UNILAD has contacted the White House for comment.Featured Image Credit: Roberto Schmidt/Getty ImagesTopics: Donald Trump, World News

Roseanne Barr wraps eight-episode comedy ‘Meemaw’ eight years after ABC firing New

Roseanne Barr wraps eight-episode comedy ‘Meemaw’ eight years after ABC firing

Like it or not, she’s back!Roseanne Barr, who was famously fired by Disney in 2018 over a tweet the studio dubbed “abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values,” just wrapped production on an eight-episode family comedy called “Meemaw,” Page Six Hollywood had exclusively learned. The series shot in Austin, Texas, features plenty of comedy world notables including Randy Quaid, Drea de Matteo, Omar Gooding and Doug Jones — as well as guest appearances from Jon Lovitz, Tony Hinchcliffe and Kim Congdon.Roseanne Barr is back with a new sitcom.“It’s every bit as revolutionary as ‘The Roseanne Show,’ if not more, and my work has improved with time,” Barr tells us. “I want everybody who disagrees in a family to sit in the same room and just laugh and go, ‘Yeah, maybe I was an a—hole that time. Well, you were an a—hole this time. Oh, we’re all a—holes. Let’s get a beer.”Barr plays the matriarch of a “mixed-race family of preppers in Texas” who is on a quest to “throw her granddaughter the most fantastic bat mitzvah Texas has ever seen.”Barr was famously fired by Disney in 2018 from the revival of “Roseanne” over incendiary social media posts. Getty Images for DailyWire+She adds, “I thought now would be a great time for people to actually hear from a Jew.” Mo’Nique, the Oscar-winning “Precious” star who remains friends with Barr, discovered Indy Bugg, a tween Instagram sensation who plays Barr’s granddaughter.“Mo’Nique calls up, ‘Check this girl out. She not only looks like you, but she acts just like you, too,” Barr recalls. “She was only 12, and I about fell over that I was able to get her. She’s such a star. You’ll see it in the first episode, in her first scene.”All that might make liberals’ heads explode considering that Barr became a Hollywood pariah thanks to a 2018 tweet that referred to former Michelle Obama aide Valerie Jarrett as the offspring of the “Muslim Brotherhood & Planet of the Apes” in a Twitter reply. At the time, she apologized to Jarrett and deleted her Twitter account. (Barr says she didn’t know then that Jarrett is Black.)But Disney moved quickly to fire its biggest TV star just as the “Roseanne” revival had become a ratings juggernaut for ABC, finishing its first season as the No. 1 scripted primetime TV show in the 18-49 age demographic. Her ouster also arrived at the height of cancel culture, and the Emmy winner was immediately dropped by her longtime agents at ICM as well. (The show was reworked as “The Conners.”)Over the ensuing years, the former ratings queen found some supporters. Bill Maher brought her on as a guest on his “Club Random” podcast. So she then began writing a series with “Roseanne” and “Arli$$” alum Allan Stephan. The show centered on a rural Alabama farmer dabbling in the cannabis and magic mushroom trade. Barr has since been persona non grata in Hollywood, though she has her supporters. Can't Be Censored podcastAt the time, she told Variety that she was writing the script for a Coen brothers-esque family comedy and would soon shop it.“If Hollywood doesn’t buy it, then I’m just gonna make it myself,” she said at the time. But she scrapped that plotline and brought in longtime Adam Sandler collaborator Allen Covert as a third writer, and the trio crafted her current show, “Meemaw,” a “semi-autobiographical series about a woman who hails from a very liberal East Coast Jewish family,” and who gets disinherited and must live the lower-class dream in Texas. “It’s now more John Waters,” she notes of the pivot. Randy Quaid stars as Barr’s husband in the series, “Meemaw.” Getty ImagesBarr was able to raise enough money from private investors to mount a fully union production. She began quietly shooting it in Austin in November 2025.We asked Barr if Elon Musk, whose Tesla and SpaceX are based in Austin, put money into “Meemaw.” After all, Musk famously pledged to back X users who faced dismissals stemming from posts on free speech grounds.Drea de Matteo plays Barr’s daughter. Dave Benett/Getty Images for OnlyFans“He wouldn’t call me back,” she says. “Like, ‘Can I get some assistance over here, man? I got fired for a text that was up for two hours that nobody saw.’” (We reached out to Musk but didn’t hear back.)Perhaps Musk miscalculated. Barr has a long and proven track record for making what American audiences want, often before the industry recognizes it. When “Roseanne” premiered in 1988, the sitcom landscape was dominated by polished, aspirational versions of American family life. Barr recognized that millions wanted to see something different: a working-class family that was messy, funny, imperfect and familiar. The show following the Conner family quickly became No. 1 on the small screen.Barr says Musk never returned her call despite pledging to back users who faced dismissal over posts on free speech grounds. Getty ImagesNow, Barr sees a further rupture between what audiences want and what much of the entertainment industry is willing to make. As such, she’s betting that audiences are sick of sanitized humor and political correctness.Quaid plays her husband, and Barr warns that there are plenty of “romantic, passionate and overwhelming love scenes” between the pair.“The extras are gonna be released on OnlyFans,” she says before quickly adding, “I’m kidding.”Speaking of OnlyFans, de Matteo took time away from her very lucrative side hustle on the racy platform to portray Barr’s daughter. The Emmy-winning “Sopranos” star cryptically told us during her London Fashion Week debut that she “just did a TV show … with everyone’s favorite mom.”As for Hinchcliffe, who faced cancellation calls in 2024 after he jokingly publicly referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage,” he appears in “Meemaw”… as Satan. (UTA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners refused to part ways with the comedian despite pressure, and continue to rep him.)Rounding out the family is Gooding (brother of Cuba Gooding Jr.), who plays Barr’s son in law. Back in the day, Gooding appeared on Barr’s talk show that ended in 2000.“Roseanne,” one of the most popular shows when it returned on ABC in 2018, was reworked into “The Conners” for the remainder of its run. Disney General Entertainment Content via Getty Images“He was getting s—t for [doing ‘Meemaw’],” Barr says. “Anyone who asked him why he would work with such a horrible person as myself, he said, ‘Comedy is king.’ It takes somebody who really has faith in their talent to go against the Hollywood gatekeepers, you know.”Barr feels certain that “Meemaw” is for everyone — and neither the right nor the left get off easy.“My daughters are super woke and of course I love them, so I put in jokes for them, too, like I did on ‘Roseanne,’” she says. “I make fun of everybody ’cause everybody deserves to be made fun of who’s in power. So, I’ve got some great jokes about Republicans that the lefties are gonna love. I’m an equal opportunity destroyer.”

Redakcija Nove odbila saradnju sa Stjepanovićem do završetka izbora New

Sve smo to videli, pratili i objavljivali tokom izbornih ciklusa u prethodnih šest godina koliko postojimo.

9 Everyday Signs Your Mental Load Is Quietly Taking Over New

9 Everyday Signs Your Mental Load Is Quietly Taking Over

1. Small decisions suddenly feel strangely exhaustingChoosing what to cook, wear or answer first should be manageable, yet every option feels like another demand. This can happen when your mind is already holding too many unfinished tasks and unresolved concerns.Reduce unnecessary choices for a while. Repeat easy meals, prepare clothes the night before or choose three priorities each morning. Simplifying is not failure; it creates breathing room for decisions that genuinely need your attention.2. You keep forgetting ordinary everyday detailsYou walk into a room and forget why, miss an appointment or reread the same message without absorbing it. Occasional forgetfulness is normal, but it often becomes more noticeable when attention is divided across too many responsibilities.Instead of relying on memory alone, create one trusted place for reminders. A single notebook or phone list is more useful than scattered notes. The goal is not perfect organisation; it is giving your mind fewer things to carry.3. Rest leaves you feeling guilty instead of restoredYou finally sit down, but your thoughts immediately produce a list of everything you should be doing. Physically, you have stopped. Mentally, you are still working, monitoring and judging yourself.Try giving rest a clear boundary: twenty minutes without chores, messages or planning. When guilt appears, notice it without obeying it. Rest does not have to be earned by reaching complete exhaustion. It supports your ability to return to life with more patience and perspective.4. Minor interruptions trigger surprisingly strong irritationA slow website, a simple question or a misplaced object can provoke more anger than the situation seems to deserve. The interruption may not be the real problem; it may simply be the final demand landing on an already crowded mind. Before reacting, create a brief pause. Unclench your jaw, lower your shoulders and name what is actually overwhelming you. Recognising the larger pressure helps you respond to the present moment rather than releasing accumulated frustration onto someone nearby.5. You procrastinate even on tasks you valueProcrastination is not always indifference. Sometimes a meaningful task feels impossible because it contains too many hidden decisions: where to begin, how well to do it and what might happen if you fail.Shrink the starting point until it feels almost unimportant. Open the document, write one sentence or spend five minutes gathering materials. A smaller entry point reduces the emotional weight of beginning. Momentum often arrives after action, not before it.6. Your free time disappears into numb scrollingYou reach for your phone intending to relax, then look up much later feeling neither entertained nor rested. Endless scrolling can offer temporary escape because it asks almost nothing from you, but it may also prevent the deeper recovery you needed. Before opening an app, ask what you want: distraction, connection or rest. That answer can guide a better choice, such as messaging a friend, watching one planned episode or spending ten quiet minutes away from stimulation.7. You avoid messages from people you care aboutA thoughtful message arrives, and instead of feeling connected, you feel another obligation. You postpone replying because you want to respond properly, then the growing delay adds guilt and makes the task feel even heavier.Connection does not always require a polished answer. A brief message such as “I saw this and care; I will reply when I have more space” can protect the relationship without pretending you have unlimited energy. Honest communication is often kinder than silent perfectionism.8. Your inner voice becomes harsher under pressureWhen your capacity is stretched, ordinary mistakes can trigger severe self-criticism: “I am useless,” “I ruin everything” or “I should handle this better.” These statements turn a difficult moment into a verdict about your character.Replace the verdict with a precise description. Instead of “I am failing,” try “I missed one deadline while managing several demands.” Accuracy is not making excuses. It separates what happened from who you are, making it easier to repair the problem without crushing yourself.9. You cannot identify what you actually needAfter spending days responding to other people, deadlines and practical demands, even the question “What would help?” can feel impossible to answer. Your own signals may have been pushed aside for so long that they become difficult to hear.Begin with the body and the next hour. Are you hungry, tense, lonely, overstimulated or tired? Choose one small response rather than solving your entire life. If overwhelm persists or disrupts daily functioning, consider speaking with a qualified mental health professional.

A New Hampshire fisherman caught the state’s largest bluefin tuna weighing over 1,100 pounds — smashing a record that had stood for more than a decade.Brandon McGirl was hoping to reel in anything when he boarded the Out of Line, a Savage Charters NH boat captained by Jamie Savage, on Saturday for an overnight fishing trip out of Rye Harbor on the New Hampshire Seacoast, WMUR reported.“It was very difficult conditions to try and fish. It was a little bit rougher than we were hoping for,” McGirl told the outlet.Brandon McGirl and Captain Jamie Savage of Savage Charters NH landed a 1,116-pound bluefin tuna in New Hampshire, smashing the state record. ABC/WHAS11After hours on the open water — with almost nothing to show for their effort — the crew was gearing up to call it a night when, out of nowhere, McGirl’s reel began clicking.“They never come when you expect them to come,” McGirl said. The crew chased the fish for about a mile before finally getting it alongside the boat during the grueling struggle. With no way to get it on deck, they towed the fish back toward the harbor, where they lifted the beast from the water.“We lifted it out of the water and immediately knew it was way bigger than what we thought and bigger than anything either of us had seen before,” Savage said. The catch turned out to be a monster bluefin tuna that tipped the scales at 1,116 pounds — more than 150 pounds heavier than the previous New Hampshire record, set in 2013, the outlet reported. The men chased the fish for about a mile before finally getting it alongside the boat during the grueling struggle. Kelly Ayotte the next day.“Now THAT is a catch,” Ayotte wrote on Facebook, sharing a link to WMUR’s report. The catch turned out to be a monster bluefin tuna that tipped the scales at 1,116 pounds — more than 150 pounds heavier than the previous New Hampshire record, set in 2013.
